Quote:We have a winner!I think they just honestly reused the model and didn't care. A lot of the new Spring Fling stuff shows a lack of attention to detail.
When I saw Arbiter Hawk using the same look as Arbiter Sands on the beta server, I figured it was a placeholder. Aaaand, here it is in the live game.
Hey devs: this is careless and amounts to fail. Which of you approved the copy/paste slop? -
The first thing I generally think when I wake up is "What can I get to eat," but not so much "What can I complain about today?"

I am of course referring to the female hairstyle, purchasable on the Paragon Market for 40 Paragon Points, or as part of the Pocket D Valentine Pack for 400 Paragon Points.
I encountered Club quite by accident today and frankly, I have no end of nice things to say about it.
1) It's detailed. A lot of the older hairstyles, while they still look good, resemble the hard plastic wigs you put on the heads of LEGO minifigures. There's a few select detailed hairstyles (Fancy Braid comes to mind), but they're depressingly few in number. Club is one of them, and unlike Fancy Braid, it's casual enough to use in a broader range of costumes.
2) It's short. It's long been a cultural preference for women to have long hair, but all that means is that they're not expected to have buzz cuts. Short hair is still attractive, and it doesn't even have to cover the neck. Ponytails, Posh, Beau Monde... these are all hairstyles that know that. So Club, as it were, doesn't go to great lengths to offer a fashionable design.
3) It doesn't clip. Seriously, this is like the only female hairstyle that has practically no clipping considerations. Glasses and goggles don't clip. The tiaras don't clip. The face details don't clip. It was clear that the design was made in such a way so as to be fitting with as many costume varieties as possible, and for that I'm gonna call it worthy of having a price tag.
The Male/Huge Barbarian belt was pretty snazzy in its own right, but I'll have to say this again: Yay for Club ♥
So feel free to share some costume designs of what you were able to accomplish with Club! -
My Toxic nozzle sprayey thing is actually built into my face. I clobber dudes with a stick.

It's Penelope Yin. I'm somewhat awestruck that you guys figured it out with all the supporting evidence and still second-guess yourselves. |-:

In the middle of a swamp of "I love everyone and all men are equal" posts, I'm going to say that some situations will make certain archetypes more desirable than others.
If I'm on an ITF forming and there's a bunch of Tankers on the team, I'm going to think twice about going through with it--I've seen too many encounters with Romulus fail due to insufficient damage.
Likewise, if I'm on a LRSF and the team consists entirely of Masterminds and Blasters, I'll gracefully bow out before Atlas Park becomes a smear fest. -
... level 19in' it up. What this place needs is a little more me, and I know JUST what to do about that!
Also, you guys have global channels around here or somesuch? -
Photon Grenade. Maybe then I could find a way for it to be useful.

I just realized that I totally missed an opportunity to use "unresistable" in a sentence, which is my favorite non-word around these parts. Curse you, tongue-in-cheek posts of haste and orneriness!

Ooh ooh! It's another one of those "ignore everyone else's screenshots and just post your own" threads! Lemme in!
I present to you Yarrshiro X, the flying robot ninja pirate... with a laser sword... from space. He comes equipped with a Majesty Capacitor that makes him so awesome that he can't be seen by the naked eye.

Quote:Heh. Heheheh. This one's for you, DumpleBerry!Wow. Big "SON I AM DISAPPOINT" to the community members who think this thread is for trying to pick up a date.
*Ahem*
So... ladies...
*Slicks back hair and produces a rose*
Who's up for a night on the digital town with a man whose name is also an accurate description? No need to hesitate! Please, form yourselves into two groups: group #1 may post in this thread proclaiming my dreaminess, and group #2 may send me a PM privately expressing your pining for one such as me (which you can do via this handy link).
I'll have to take some time between setting up the soft music and installing the mood lighting to reply, but rest assured that all of my lady friends are of equal considerability.
(Disclaimer: I'm not actually a pompous buffoon. But was I serious about the date? Couldn't be... could it? COULD IT???) -
Boy am I ever late to the party.
One thing I've noticed over the years is that female players tend to play female characters. I've asked about this phenomenon, but I've never gotten a straight answer (except for that one person who didn't like the sound of all the jumping grunts). Does no one know why they play female characters? |-:
Of course, many male players also play female characters exclusively, so the reverse isn't true.
How 'bout ye, female players? I skimmed the thread looking at the answers to that question, and there's an overwhelming preference for female characters. Care to share why you play female characters? -
Arbitrary Fire/Kin comparison? Roll a Tanker!

Let's see... Something the tech can do...
* Ice Slick grants a short-duration power to the target called Standing On Ice Slick
* All powers that grant -KB to enemies will need to be tweaked to check for Standing On Ice Slick prior application
While it's possible, I wouldn't see it happening. What I could see happening is that casting Flash Freeze on targets affected by Standing On Ice Slick would result in an AoE Hold (with -KB) rather than AoE Sleep.
