The response people have had before is 'no'.
If you want to contact CS, then go to the NCSoft website, and click the Support link. Free/Premium players don't have access to live in-game support, but you can still submit a ticket there.
(If you don't have a support account already, you'll need to create one. It uses different login info to your NCSoft master account.) -
This may be able to help you, although I guess it might only apply to the vet powers. If so, you could try playing with the parameters:

Quote:Are you having the problem in the new DA content? The scrapper claws set's knockback powers aren't functioning properly again. Focus is supposed to be KnockDOWN, not Knockback. Shockwave is supposed to be KnockBACK.
Knockback/knockdown mag increases against mobs that are of relatively lower-level to the character, turning KD into KB. I noticed in the new DA that when I was running a +3 character against level 50 mobs, there was some KB going on from the KD proc in my Fireball.
That isn't really a bug per se, but it is a side effect of the ability to run against grey-conning mobs for full rewards. -
Aww. I was expecting some lithe sexy toyboy lying sprawled on a bed of silk, and instead I get the usual freakishly muscled guy with a badly drawn sword. I feel cheated.

Quote:I think that's definitely a part of it. My monitor is raised up, and State's crotch is pretty much smack where my eye line naturally rests. Plus, it's level with the log-in fields, which is where most people will be looking when they're logging in.My monitor is positioned such that I look slightly down on it. Many computer desk setups leave the monitor positioned such that one is looking up at it, which might change where one's eyes are drawn.
Yes. Yes, it's clearly my male privilege.
Or, you know. Probably not. -
If you want some historical data, then Archie Gremlin posted his complete sales data from his 'How long to the inf cap' project back in Sept 2010:

(The 200,000,000 Steadfast Res/Def sale isn't a typo, at least not on Archie's part.) -
I wouldn't necessarily say divided. I mean, my personal reaction was more a combination "My goodness, that's an eyecatching composition...wait, there's something missing here."

Quote:How much would the company have to pay writers and programmers to create and update the content? One thing I never understood is the fact that all MMOs (at least the ones I've played since AC2) have tons of info on the main website (forums or fan sites)....that's great! Why isn't most of that IN the game?
How much does the company have to pay the fans who maintain the wiki?
There's your answer. -
Quote:This!Ironically, Dark Astoria is the first time in a long time my Blaster has felt more "heroic" than "horror movie survivor."
The new DA arcs were the first time I've actually felt like being an incarnate meant something.
(By a strange coincidence, also on a blaster. Huh. You know, someone should come up with some ideas for making Blasters more awesome in general.)
Anyway. Because I was badging on my main, I ran through everything at +0x1, on a +3 character, and it felt AWESOME. Not only did the NPCs go out of their way to tell me I was the only one who could handle things, but the GAME was warning me that this was going to be a super hard mission and it would be really tough to handle if I told the NPC helpers to stay back and let me save the day. And then I soloed a mini-ITF lag hill and I had a pile of EB corpses at my feet and, and as I might have mentioned in global chat a couple of times, I really felt like I HAD THE POWER OF A GODDESS.
Also, Ellie had her shiny shiny Incarnate armour costume that I only use for incarnate content, and she looked pretty darned amazing in the cut-scenes, if I do say so myself.
So, yeah. Of all the content in the game, DA felt like some the most 'It's ALL ABOUT ME' that I've played.
(Mind you, I enjoyed the solo missions, too. I don't think I would've wanted them to be long, but they aren't, and I thought it was a more engaging way of fleshing out the story than cut-scenes full of NPC dialogue and weirdly unconnected emotes.) -

Quote:To add another small sample to your data:Most of it is probably concentrated on very high-end gear. I think a L30 Regenerative Tissue +Regen is roughly unchanged at 40 million inf, from I9 to the present day, but that used to be one of the most expensive things in the game.
Archie stopped playing in September 2009. When he came back a few weeks ago and fired up his big spreadsheet o' marketeering, prices were broadly unchanged across his niches -- some had gone up a little, some had gone down a little. So while prices have definitely gone up at the very high end, recipes in that sample of level-50-IOs-which-are-popular-enough-to-have-decent-margin haven't changed all that much in the last two years. -
Quote:And, really, even then only a tiny handful of IOs are actually expensive. The vast majority of IO sets are cheap, and can still deliver enormous performance gains over SOs.IOs in this game, for all that people scream and cry and carry on about them, are an expensive luxury item.
Anyone dropping a billion on a single IO is already way, way out on the far end of the curve for slotting up a character. -
Quote:You have to respec to take advantage of the inherent fitness (unless you use a second build), but you can make exporting and tinkering with the build a lot easier with these tools:As you can imagine, with so many characters, copying down builds onto a piece of paper (including which enhancements go where) and then executing the respec takes a LOT of time. I'm assuming there's no other way around this...?
Mids Hero Designer from Titan Network lets you play with your build, and will also print out your build in various formats, which makes the respec a lot easier.
Titan Sentinel, also from Titan Network, will allow you to export a current build from the game and put it into Mids. -
IANAL. (But I am an author.)
You probably own the name. It's pretty hard to give away copyright, unless there's an actual legal document physically signed by both parties that specifically transfers the copyright ownership. However, Paragon/NCSoft may have rights to use that name along with the in-game likeness in certain ways (e.g. for promotion).
You do not own: the image of the character from the game, the setting, the NPCs, the power names, unique power effects, unique costume pieces, AT name, set names, and anything else about the character that can be identified as being IP created by Paragon/NCSoft.
If this is really a serious proposition, with serious money involved, the most important thing is for you to TALK TO A LAWYER FIRST, and make it a lawyer who specialises in IP. It's no good taking legal advice later, when contracts have already been signed. Do it first, even if it costs money. -
The entire current Freedom Phalanx.
Not that I have anything against any of them personally, but for an arc called 'Who Will Die?', anything less than the full Blakes 7 ending just won't satisfy. -
Also, you can't use the masks with the Jester ruff, either, which makes me :-(

OP: ask for an escalation to a more senior GM. The first and even second line of GMs don't always know what can or should be done to fix a problem.
-
I have an utterly inexplicable fondness for Basse Croupier. He's the only NPC I always travel back to to talk to, even after I can call him. And even though it means getting lost inside the Giza every. single. time.
-
Yes, although only on a duo team where we both had taken the mission. We were sent into separate instances.

Quote:They're doing it because they don't want you to play for free, they want you to give them money. So they've carefully gated off a selection of different aspects of the game, while leaving a fully functional core, in the hope that every player will find one thing locked off that will make them pay up, even if it's only for a license not a full sub. If you don't care about IOs, you might care about AE. If you don't care about AE, maybe you'll care about the Incarnate system. If you aren't interested in Incarnates, maybe you'll pay to play with the Controller that was your favourite character.I know it's free to play, I realize there has to be some drawbacks and I understand that. I just wanted to know why they would do this. I'm fine with all the other restrictions such as me not being able to publish my missions in the AE, that is a downside for me but I could live with that. But my IO's made my character.
The fact that there is one part of the VIP game that you feel is critical for a satisfying playing experience is exactly what Freedom is aiming for. -
I've come to the conclusion that if I want to have villains that feel motivated in-character to do co-op content, then my best (and pretty much only) bet is to create 'villain' characters who are that way inclined that in the first place. Otherwise, it's just a world of self-inflicted disappointment out there.
Mostly, though, I just punch stuff in the face and take their stuff and don't read the text too closely. -
A while ago they added a bunch of new temp powers. At the same time they increased the temp recipe drop rate to its current level. So in that sense it's probably WAI, although they do fill up the recipe tray rather quickly. They drop in a separate pool to other recipes, so it shouldn't affect your other drops.

Quote:That's fantastic! Thank you!Metallic top has been added to Shirts, Robes (Sleeveless also), Jackets (Sleeveless also), Trench Coat, Magic Bolero and Unique Tops and will be out soon
ETA: Does that include the three robotic arms? If so, you are even more fantastic than that :-) -
