Drop Rates: They seemed low while playing on teams but are terrible solo. After 3 hours and 10 missions/hunts my 41 blaster got lots enhancements/salvage/inspirations but no recipes. It was frustrating. I played on what feels like tenacious:+0,+2,boss, no av.
A few hours later I played the character for two hours with difficulty at: +0, +1 (default after changing #s),no boss, no av. The 2 regular missions didn't give any recipes. The final scanner mission gave two common IOs and one invention IO.
Tonight i played 3-4 contact missions, and did lots of street sweeping. I played for two hours at: +0, +1,no boss, no av. I got 1 common IO.

Messed up Maps: I reported a map where part the roof was missing and you could go walk on the ceiling tiles. One minor glitch is in the Mutant store in Talos. Character shadows are square and match the floor tiles.

Scanner Mission Doors in PI now appear on the northern monster islands and are suicidal to get to.

I had a GM help me with a stuck person I was to rescue. She had that "slide instead of walk bug" and kept getting hung up in the water.

Today I found a new one I have to retest. I made my first new character since i16 went live and am plagued with an annoying pop up bug. Dialogues, character screen, etc, are okay but certain pop ups like doors ("you cannot enter"), mission entry messages, log-out pop up, and a few more, are effected. The text appears to start above the box so most or all of it (doors) is unreadable.
I try other characters see if they are effected. -
I haven't used ZA in a long time so can't help there but Avast can run continually. Go to troubleshooting - and set check for full screen apps before using popups. Not familiar with the third one. I run Avast free version every two days.

I played several characters last night solo and on teams. Recipe drops were low - about what people have been reporting in the forums. Last night I played my level 41 fire/energy blaster on +0 level, +2 heroes, no av, +boss. I got a few recipes.
I logged in around 8am Pacific and played until around 11 am on the fire/energy smae settings. Nemesis and Rularuu door missions (at least 10) and several hunts and street sweeping. Inspirations were dropped normally. Enhancements seemed really low compared to last night. In those 3 hours I didn't get 1 recipe. Not one!
I had fun but it was so frustrating to finish a tough mission and not even get an end of mission drop.
I asked in broadcast if anyone was having similar issues but no one responded. Has anyone else seen this? Devs pleeeaseee fix the recipe drops! -
I did some more testing with one of my tanks and this is what I think fits Tenacious.
Level +0, (x2 heroes), Boss, no AV.
With this I get BP masks and other bosses pop up in different spots in the mission. With the settings mentioned previously I tended to get stronger LTs rather than bosses.
I don't farm but wanted the mission difficulty to feel like it did before. Now my tanks and scrappers can fight hordes and get a few bosses along the way.
Btw on the mission tab it should say "boss" or "no boss" where it gives difficulty settings. -
I like ssk and the simple way it changes with missions. I played with a friend and went from 50 to 2 and it was fun. However, I thought Ouroborous flashbacks were going to be different and levels stuck to the old system - ie a 10 - 15 contacts mission would be set to 15 for anyone over that level. This would make more sense since your character is going back in time.

I don't mind scanner missions in areas that are tough to get to but PI is different because of the GMs.
I was testing the new notoriety settings by fighting Council in scanner missions. Most of the mission doors were on the main island. The door to the last mission was on the northernmost island. There were tons of GMs about.
I fly almost to the door but miss it on landing. i get one shotted and go to hospital. I went to the cop but can't drop the mish. This is with my level 47 claws/regen with stealth.
I go to my base and make empowerments for smashing lethal and invisibility. I load up on big def and res insp and head back. As I approach the door I take a def and res. I get shot and make it in the door with 20% of my HP.
I then had to rescue a civilian who was messed up with that shuffle animation bug (ie - she wouldn't walk but stood and slid across the floor). She kept getting hung up in the sewer water plus my invisibility caused problems. I couldn't reset the mish outside due to the GMs.
I sent a petition and a game monitor popped in (as a Banished Totem) and helped out. So things worked out.
It doesn't make sense to have mission doors on the monster islands. It's not fun and not really a challenge - just instant defeat. Fix the doors in PI I say. -
I was fighting Anti-Matter as an EB last night. He conned red +1 or +2 IIRC. He mashed my wp/mace tank twice and I came back loaded with big insp etc and beat him the third time. In that last fight he hit me and ALL of my WP toggles dropped and I was stunned I managed to recover and run away and got him when he chased me.
It seemed excessive that all of my toggles would drop. RTTC should have been the only one. Is this something new, a known bug, or a fluke? -
I usually play on Tenacious for the larger spawns and bosses. I've been trying to reset my characters difficulty using the new system.
Would this be equal to tenacious?
-- Capable of fighting enemies at +1 your current security level.
-- Combat equivalent of 1 standard hero. (+0 on screen mission box)
-- Does prefer fighting bosses when alone. (Doesn't show in mission box)
-- Does not prefer to fight Arch-Villains.
or would the second setting be +1?
I've been using the stats as shown and getting some bosses but overall it feels more like rugged with more red lts. -
This has been happening just about every minute or two on Champion. I switched to another character and it's still happening so it's time for a break. Supposedly /sync still works to shorten the mapserves but it doesn't appear in the chat box when you type it.

I probably missed the notice somewhere but when I tried to log in (for the first time since migration) my password wouldn't work. It took a visit plus logging in to ncsoft main site to get things straight. Searching for "password" showed results for the main account not the forums. It was confusing for a bit.
There should be something in the FAQ about the changes to logging in to the forum. -

I would like something like this. The last legitimate/non-GM email I got was received two years ago. I asked a sg male to send me a bind. The tons of email I do get are all spam.
Please devs... allow us to opt out of email. -

I know there's a level gap between 39 - 46 for Snakes. I had to remove some from an arc when a level 46 ambush creamed my level 40 team.
I've used some COV specific COT in test missions with heroes and have had no problems.
I think the key is to pick the 1-54 groups you want and carefully check each 5 level range. -
I think this would be harder to use than the existing system. I remember when bloggers and others copied the geek codes idea found on the net. Blog descriptions got longer and more confusing and most people didn't get any more readers.

I have used tags in blogs for years and I learned to keep things simple. I also learned that tags/keywords lists will grow with every user.
For English searches I would suggest tags like these:
solofriendly
lowlevel
storybased
defeatall
eliteboss
...and so on. If a person types in "story" the search engine in the MA will pick up on "story" and should pick up anything you label as storybased.

That's what I find. I love the clues and dialogue and it can be frustrating doing new content with teams. Stamina/healing rest breaks are good times to catch up with clues.
I believe in "show don't tell" but sometimes players need more explanation or gaps appear in the story. You need just enough "tell" to keep the player satisfied but not slowed down. Getting that balance can be difficult. -
"didn't have when logged out" - did you complete the mission earlier? Was it someone elses mission or one of yours?
When you create your own missions and test them sometimes the autosave version and a similarly named earlier copy have to be cleared. I haven't had this extend past logging out though. -
Hehe, bank maps are fun and i would use them more often if I could resist adding more things to do on a map.
Today I was checking out the changes to custom critters and playing with map ideas. The two bosses and the EB ended up in the final cave. My tank pulled veeerrry carefully like a blaster. -
Some maps also have a front/middle/back requirement and that can mess with the other requirements.
For example: you have a map with boss at front or back and a collection only at back. You can put the boss or the collection at the back not both. -

A friend of mine has recently started having a problem. No changes have been made to the hardware but suddenly started getting green lines accross the screen and the game would crash a few seconds after launch. The computer would have to be restarted to get anywhere.
For a while it only did it sometimes and just trying over and over again would eventually work. Recently it's been doing it every time the game is launched. Sometimes instantly, sometimes after a few seconds. Always pretty quickly though.
Two part question:
1) Will uninstalling and reinstalling the game likely fix something like this?
2) If so, will doing so have any negative effect on any AE creations? I assume published arcs will remain published, but will they be editable? Will unpublished material be lost?

When this happened on my old computer it turned out to be the video card. I found that out because it happened in other games.
1. Not sure about reinstalling. What OS/videocard do you have? That information would help the techy types help you.
2. Unpublished material is saved with your game files and you would need to copy them somewhere else to save them if you reinstall. Copy the missions/criiters/villaingroups (?) folders to your my docs or equivalent. -- I think published arcs would be reeditable without the original content but it's good to have it backed up. -
List it here and in any directory for your server. Also add your arcs to your signature and mention them to your friends.
If your arc is primarily story based add (SFMA for story focused MA). Some people search for that to avoid combat heavy arcs or farms.
My arcs seem to get played in fits and spurts. Someone discovers them and mentions them to another and I get 2 or 3 more plays. Then it dies for a bit. There are just so many arcs out there. -
I would like to see a few things:
1.Existing maps offered to MA. For example: Skyway City from Twilight Son's tf.
2.Sections of outdoor maps made into MA maps. For example the boathouse (plus it's interior) from Perez Park.
3. Simple modifications of existing maps. For example the "smooth cave" style maps could have ice features (like the Frostfire maps) or fires/lava like the Hellion maps. -
Experiment with the animations. Waiting/looking seems to work. Not all animations work with all characters.
Don't do what one person did. every rescue feature a barfing civilian. i could find them easy enough but didn't want to get too near... :P
