Since CJ doesn't really pump much, you probably wont notice the loss of that .5%
I think if I keep the Agleess I have (+recharge/+recovery) there won't be a gap in hasten. I already cap HP with Icy Bastion but you did correctly note a mis-slot of end/rechg for heal/recharg in the 2nd numi, thx!

    Hey John -

Thanks for the build. Finally had time to look at it in depth and it gave me some very good ideas. I incorporated them below. Let me know what you think. I'll probably shift to this and check it out.

Runs with Hybrid T4 Assault Core toggled on. These are only the successful runs that weren't plagued by misclicks or pylon getting lucky.

    1.53
    1.46 (with some mistakes)
    1.46 (1-2 misses)
    1.46 (1 missed AS)

    Hm I see a pattern.

So looks like some improvements on average. But still not catching Ricodah (which I don't really understand, because recharge from /SR shouldn't be a factor any more) or that guys NW that is posting crazy times. Which makes me a little sad
  3. My WB/Kin is named Streamlined. Sadly "Jetstream" was taken, as was "Tidal Grave"
  4. OK here is the updated build.

Softcap to S/L/E. Overwhleming Force with proc in Whirlpool. Run's John Printemps chain of Aqua-WJ-Aqua-Dehy-WJ-Aq-Dehy-WJ-WJ

Goal is to have i24 Geyser up every 30 secs or so and benefiting from FS+Tidal Forces. I'm stuck on what Alpha.

Patron Pet seems like a nice add but I'm open to other suggestions.

Doesn't Dehydrate have stupid bad DPA given its long animation? Or is the mids time wrong?
EDIT: I think MIDS is wrong, it seems to cast way faster in game.
  7. Here's my Thugs/Dark. One of the best MMs I've had. I probably should tweak him a little to try to softcap Energy too (just S/L at present).

  8. Well, I posted a Water/Kin build in the corr forums (on a thread about that). Less busy perhaps than time? FS+Geyser and perma PPP pet. Fun?

I swear I have looked and looked at blaster builds in MIDS and I just can't see anything that makes a blaster feel stronger/more interesting than a corr. Maybe I am missing something. Or its just my bias

I used my character on beta to save a respec. Maybe there are some changes that are currently on beta but not implemented on live yet that may have affected my times. Maybe I have poor slotting (5/6 Ragnarok) or perhaps I am using WS at the wrong point in my attack chain.

    [BU-WS-AS-CU] SB-IS-AS-SC-SB-IS-(BU)-AS-CU-(WS)

[ ] = Used at the start of the fight
( ) = Used in that spot if recharged

Without Body Mastery, endurance is problematic but can last the duration if Tough and Focused Fighting are toggled off.
I thought with WS you want to slot the achilles -RES to have another source of -RES?

Pick up Ageless for endurance problems if you want ... I find without Tough running, if the pylon gets 2 lucky shots in, I die. Of course your /SR has scaling resists so maybe that's not a problem.

TommyTD and Reppu probably have WS slotting tips.
  10. There was something weird happening in your build with it showing higher base defense numbers than I could figure out. It's not from Agility. I don't know what is causing it. EDIT: oh wait, you had Support Core toggled on ... its only up 2/4 mins ... and it doesn't come to late in your incarnate career. Personally I'd soft-cap (45%) without it and then decide if you still want to add it.

Anyway I rebuilt it, and ended up with a build with more standard soft-cap numbers to S/L/E (around 46-47%)... if you add Agility, you'll push S/L/E to around 50%. If you add support core, S/L/E go to 62% and Neg goes to 47%. But that may not be the best Hybrid choice. I don't like Barrier either that much compared to Clarion on corrs. I suppose on a Kin barrier might be a good choice for the RES and give you some buffer on S/L/E def (probably 5% more at the tail of barrier). You'll just have to find another way to deal with Mez (maybe the amplifiers from the market).

You have close to Perma Hasten with 1 application of siphon speed. I added the pet from PPP -- he's pretty much perma. I'd figure you're doing enough AOE to capture everything's attention. Whirlpool gets the -RES proc that should trigger every time come i24 proc changes. Burst gets the FF +rchrg IO for added recharge. Assuming Geyser has 120 recharge it should be up like every 30+ secs. A fulcrum-shifted geyser should be fun.

Kin has a strong enough heal that you can slot Dehydrate for 100% damage and other effects. I guess what bothers me if anything in this build is the lack of procs in the single target attacks. They are mainly slotted (6) with Thunderstrike to build ranged/E def.

It's a tough call if Kin is sturdy enough on its own (vs. say soft-capped to all Time builds) but the appeal of FS is immediate, and there is little to occupy you in your secondary except the occasional heal/transfusion/siphon and keeping SB on the team.

EDIT: feel free to slot Whirlpool with 5 Overwhelming Force including the Proc (KD) for some soft control, in place of Posi Blast.

Aqua Bolt can slot - RES achilles heel though ... wouldn't that count if you are cycling it 2x in the chain?

    Water/Dark

Here's a water blast / dark build I threw together based on my DP/Dark.

Seems to be soft-capped to S/L/E with reasonable smattering of dark and wb powers. Discuss.

    WB/Time building

Here's another go. This should be 45%+ with PB+Farsight across S/L/E/N/F/C.

I figure it's all AOE: Whirlpool (triggers - RES), Water Burst, Steam Spray ... pick off targets.

Geyser should be up about every 30 secs if it really is 120 base recharge (not what mids shows).

    Thanks,
Your build doesn't include the snipe or Inferno, both of which are being changed substantially in i24.

Here's what I've currently ended up with.

Should 45% softcap with Power Boost + Farsight, and then I hope icap with Clarion + PB + Farsight.

Has 23.5% to hit perma with PB Farsight.

Rather unfortunately had to slot 4 kin combats to get S/L def high enough, and unfortunately had to 6-slot Thunderstrike to get E/N high enough.

Open to suggestions. I might get rid of Fire Breath I suppose.

  16. A while back Microcosm and Reppu and maybe some others figured out that the best single-target DPS chain for Staff stalkers involved building but not releasing/using 3 stacks of Form of Body, to keep the damage bonus.

AS-SR-PS-MB ... repeat .. with MB sporting the -RES achilles.

SkySplitter, which has bad DPA/DPS and consumes Form of Body, isn't in the chain.

Generally I build 3 stacks and hold it for single targets but release it in groups using Eye of the Storm.

I haven't fine tuned it but I'd so something more like this. I think the one I posted below is better. Water Burst is supposed to have FF+recharge in it.

I've actually been weighing the idea of a Water/Dark myself as it or a Water/Cold Corr are the only two that have really interested me (haven't purchased Water yet, undecided). But Water/Dark can get a pretty nasty single-target chain going on with Smite > Dehydrate > Water Jet > Midnight Grasp > Water Jet (or something close to that). It cycles around the Tidal stacks nicely and as a straight-chain it work well with the added potential of Water Jet doubling up on occasion.

And for anyone interested, a Water/Dark build for Mids' I'm toying with.

I'd urge you to think about Water/Time corr that can soft-cap (and icap with claron), as well as get Geyser down to 30-35 second recharge.

    WB/Time building

Time without powerboost makes baby Granite cry. Powerboost + Farsight = awesome. Add Clarion for extra boosty goodness.

Steamspray seems like a great power no?
  21. Well, I for one will miss the vitriol in this thread. I enjoyed being called a moron and stupid. Unless the announced changes don't satisfy people here and we keep this going for a while?

    Plant/Fire/what?

clearly Plant/Fire/Fire ... Ice PPP is fantastic no doubt, but when you have Embrace of Fire what you want is MOAR FIRE DAMAGE inlcuding Fireball and Rain of Firey Death from ABOVE! IMHO.
  23. Staff has better AOE (bigger AOEs = hit more guys), IMHO.

StJ has better single-target damage (and reasonable AOE).

StJ has a neat combo mechanic that you will use if you are trying to do the most damage.

Staff has a combo mechanic that you will use less if you are trying to do the most damage (you will preserve, not release, 3 stacks of form of body for the damage buff).

The best attack chain in staff does not involve the T9 attack, but in StJ it does. So if you like T9s consider StJ.

Basically it comes down to being slightly better at AOE and slightly worse at single target if you go staff. If you like the staff animations and the weapon models, go for it. Remember however that staff has redraw.

It's just that any time I fight anything resembling a robot that resists DB's lethal damage, I cry.
