Pick the one you like the best, they are all good. Though you as the thread ages you will probably see more Robot Dark comments. But no one will complain about you having any of the 3.

Anything / dark. That secondary makes everything better. Play what you like; there's no wrong choice with this one.
Caveat : if you have any desire to slot the recharge intensive per uniques, go with thugs or demons.

Nyghtmaire is right, Dark can even make Ninjas, Mercs and Beast into superstars. Dark is ideal in most situations using 2 huge -tohit debuffs, a PBAoE stun, heal and dam res debuff, plus an extra pet.
I vote for Necro as well. Soul Extraction can carry the Recharge Intensive Pet IOs and soul extracted pets do not die easily.
Necro or demons is good for thematic reasons.
But ya have to go with the prevalent opinion. Dark is just that useful it can go well with about any primary and it'll keep your pets going. The heal is strong (albeit that it can miss) and there are just a -lot- of worthwhile utility powers.
Bots/Dark was teh first character to ever solo ITF. This was before incarnates. I'm sure the thread is somewhere around here.
Dark makes everything better as others have said. Although Bots and Thugs possibly get the most benefit from it since they already have defense to stack upon.
Whining about everything since 2006.

Voila, you have 3 boss class pets. This is great for maps where you know where the boss is and you have time to resummon all your pets before the throw-down. Some missions can be very hard (front-loaded) at the start. If you try a hot re-load during a fight, you do have fluffy to distract the foes.
Thugs/dark can double stack gangwar with burnout. I prefer the two Wraiths and a Lich.

Thanks guys, I decided to go with Robots. Does anyone have a build suggestion? I'm up to 35 and I have to pick a epic power set. Not sure what to do from here.

Here's my Thugs/Dark. One of the best MMs I've had. I probably should tweak him a little to try to softcap Energy too (just S/L at present).
I love burnout + gangwar = double gangwar.

Holy crap I didn't know you could do that with /release on pets and Burnout for Lich O.O I can see I'll be respeccing. Again.
You can't go wrong with /Dark, it just has a nice mix of stuff. I have a Thugs/Dark and its amazing, probably one of my best characters. Its hard not to want to go /Dark with MMs.

Btw, I tested a double Hell on Earth awhile back and it spits out more demonlings if cast on 2 different pets instead of both on one.

I was wondering if anyone could give me advice on which Mastermind primary works best with Dark as the secondary. I've played a little bit of Robotics, Thugs, and Demons and was wondering what everyone's opinions were before I leveled one to 50.
