It steps all over the "no personal attacks" rules for these forums. While I'm here at the NCNC offices I'd rather spend my time on more important things than moderating threads like this, so for now I'm going to simply close it.

Please ask your friend to send a petition to our support team via the Knowledge Base interface (link through from the Support page linked in my sig, below).

This is the sort of thing where it's always best to get in contact with our support team ASAP rather than working through forums (there is no official support done on these forums, although the CS team members do occasionally take a look if they aren't busy with petitions).

There are a lot of borderline personal attacks in this thread that are simply not necessary. If you don't like the content of the guide posted then you may discuss that content and point out your areas of disagreement.

You may not discuss the person who posted the guide, especially in relation to your opinion of them or any other personal comments. Remember that a new post to a thread brings it back to the top of the forum index.

That's the easiest way, yes. Complete the TF and you'll get the badge.

Unfortunately, due to a bug, completion of the requirements for the badge was not being recorded until recently. Unfortunately, those who completed the requirements before the bug was fixed will not be automatically awarded the badge as the game doesn't know you earned it.

The 51 month reward is something that some in the community have actively asked for. The 54 month gives an opportunity to choose again from some popular powers granted in earlier rewards.

Neither of them are for a particularly big milestone ... I think you'll all be quite happy when the 60 month (5 years) reward is announced .

There are already ongoing discussions about this change in the patch notes thread and elsewhere. I don't think we need a new thread, it's just fragmenting the discussion more than it already is.

Actually, there wasn't a URL in the SG MOTD that support was able to verify caused characters to crash out. They're still investigating to find out what the exact cause is, however it is likely due to special characters or specific combinations of special characters.

Yep, this is a known issue.

Support have let me know that they're traced the issue to the use of special characters (eg ; - ) ) in Supergroup MOTD's.

Those affected can send in a petition and support will remove the SG MOTD, which will prevent the crash from occurring.

In the meantime, we strongly suggest that non-standard characters not be used in MOTDs until the bug is resolved.

*points up a few posts* What security issue? Honestly, I'm not aware of any security-related concerns with City Vault.

City Vault is still being worked on. There are some not-security-related delays with the system; it's not a simple undertaking, and it won't be released until the team feels it's ready to be browsed by thousands of people.

The support team has been investigating this issue and been able to reproduce the problem.

The issue can be resolved for affected Supergroups once a member of the SG (preferably the leader) petitions to report the problem.

Last time that security issue thing came up, I asked where it had come from and no one answered... (since I've personally never seen any official confirmation of that.)

City Vault is still being worked on, however we don't have any ETA on when it will be ready at the current. As far as I am aware, there are no security issues; it's just taking some time to get it working to the standard we want.
