Any update on this from anyone? I'm still suffering from this bug.

Quote:I was keeping a tally for a while until I got frustrated. I had 1 rare, 48 uncommons and 16 commons spread across 8 characters before the change. Post the change I have gotten 1 common and 13 uncommons. At that point I said F-it. Only run 3 or 4 trials without tracking and if I recall I have 1 more common and all others uncommon. How much of you really have been keeping a tally of all their rewards? Not most, not the ones over the last week or month, every single one. Only the devs have that information, and if the percentages in the data are near where they expect them, then I'm inclined to believe them.
That's all runs on all characters for me except the last few.
Edit: But I will admit I don't trust my handwritten notes =) -
Quote:I love it. The weird thing is that I watched the old version which seems to have vanished completely from existence. There were two OAVs "Blue" and "Flew" and I borrowed them like 4 times from a friend. Now they're not even mentioned on any anime or wiki site I can find and everyone just talks about the series. Weird.Until last week I thought I was the only CoH player who watched that.
Great stuff though. -
Well a third trial is due out before i21 and the Devs have mentioned creating a solo/story path for incarnat experience as well.
You can also do BAF and use threads and astrals to unlock experience for your interface slot without running Lamda at all.
so you have options right now, and more will come in the future.
As far as your experience goes, I haven't had such problems with aggro on my blaster or dom. Typically spawns die so fast I can only get in one attack or at most two. Until we're at the final stage that is and all the adds keep coming in, but at that point I just stay at a distance and focus on Marauder so no worries.
I do recommend avoiding choking cloud as it won't really help much and there are a lot of AoEs if you get in close. Stay back and blast instead of focusing on control. Once you get the hang of the flow of combat mix in your debuffs and controls, both of which do draw more aggro than pure damage alone does. You can also focus on single-target attacks over AoEs for the first few, then AoE when the mob is smaller and already attacking someone else.
Last, don't worry about purples, only one gives significant defense (but it is the best ranged defense available anywhere), they are mostly used for recharge. If you are dying alot, look into thunderstrikes, Multistrikes and other reasonably affordable yellow sets with ranged and aoe defense bonuses. -

I've never seen a DoT description say it works that way. Most of them read "X ticks of Y damage each". A fixed number essentially. But I admit I only ever looked at the in-game description and not in a while so my memory could be way off.

Quote:Better than AE tickets, do tip missions. The problem is that at level 21 nothing you get with tickets is really all that valuable unless you luck out on a stealth or regenerative tissue +regen.Anyway, it was just a rant, thanks for the math on IOs, I'll put that away fro future reference. I simply have no resources, I scraped everything I had together to get those DOs, so now I am working on getting 3k AE tickets together for when I hit lvl 22. That should buy me 40 SOs.
If you can hold out until level 25 you can use hero merits from tip missions to get the luck of the gambler +7.5% recharge and that sells for over 100 million each uncrafted, and 190 million each crafted. Just need one or two of those and you're set. Takes 2 days to get 1 hero merit and 2 merits to get the IO.
Stop by the Market Forum and read for some help on how to earn money fast and easy. The shortened short version is to post all your drops on the market for 1 inf each.
Even the common salvage. -
As I understand it, if your %tohit changes from attack to attack, streakbreaker will never kick in and you can miss an infinite number of times.

Quote:As far as I know dots don't trigger procs any more than other attacks. It might be a long-held misunderstanding of mine. But I kept thinking that DoT powers (like those in Fire Melee) have a big chance of triggering a proc.
Recently I am levelling up a Traps/DPs. I slot a +smashing damage proc into Empty Clips to see the effect. But it does not go off as often I originally thought. I thought as a DoT (with fire ammo too) it would go off almost every time I use it. But it only goes off once in a while.
So, it is not true that DoT powers trigger Procs more often?
Thanks for the clarification. -
Quote:If you point at the enhancement a window pops up telling you which one it is and what the set gives, what the specific level of IO enhancement is (percentage wise) and which others of the set you have slotted and what set bonuses you're getting.I have tried right/left clicking, having my mouse over, and checked game options, buti cannot seem to find anyway to see what specific type of crafted enhancement is slotted.
I just wasted several mil. along with time to make an enhancement I can't use because I already have one in the set slotted. How can you tell which enh. is already placed in a slot when they all look the smear in a specific set? -
2:1 bronze over silver on a per-roll basis but bronze costs 70 tickets and silver 500+ so I underestimated the value difference on a per ticket basis. Thanks for doing this, I'm very interested to see the results.

What I've seen is that teaming is something that people who know how to do it take for granted as being easy any time any place. And those who don't know how find hard all the time even on Freedom and Virtue.
Finding a team does take a little bit of skill. Even starting one. On some servers in the right zone you can use broadcast and it will work. but most of the time, it won't. You need to use the looking for team tool to see who out there has set there flag to looking for any. And sending tells to solo players helps a lot.
Also, know your zones. the ones where broadcast works are only Shark and Cap. Sometimes Grandville but not often.
Other than that find your server's grouping channels and join them. -
Quote:I have bugged it, but I'll send the support ticket too.Send a support ticket at help.ncsoft.com, if there's anything simple that's wrong they'll fix it for you right away. If it's not simple, the ticket will hell track the issue to be fixed in a later patch.
Quote:Sounds like you may have accidentally clicked "Spam" instead of "Claim"?
The way the email tab/window pops up - for me at least (it may vary with different screen resolutions?), I have to pull the thing up a good bit before the "Claim" button is pulled up & clear of the "Spam" button.
IDK, its just a thought... -
Quote:There's a whole thread on it in the main tech support forum. Yes I am doing that. I can send email to anyone but myself. As a work around I've been emailing a guildie who then mails it back to me. So the bug is definitely, 100% only relevant to emailing myself.I send stuff to myself all the time and over this past weekend.
Are you doing this when you create a new email:
1. @globalid
2. put the inf/enhancements on the email
3. Add comments in the notes field. The mail won't send if isn't filled in.
4. what server are you on? -
Quote:Yes using that process. Those of us affected can send email to anyone except ourselves. when we send to ourselves we do not get the error about a missing field or anything, rather the email goes out, then the attachment is claimed and the email deleted, all immediately.I used it this weekend and regularly. Are you doing this:
1. @globalid
2. add inf/enhancements
3. add notes /comments. The field won't send without this filled in.
Had a 19 hour workday, and going on 16+ today, no chance to test the two-word potential solution. -
Quote:Just have to ask, are you being deliberately obtuse or are you truly that ignorant?Rather than discouraging the idea of repetitive farming of single missions, the Devs enshrined it for incarnates. So now you can get your AE/PL baby to 50 by farming a single mission and then get your first 5 incarnate slots in a couple more mission farms.
I do hope this was done primarily for the purpose of extensive data mining rather than lack of resources to create trials.
What will be in issue 21? More incarnate content. Issue 22? More incarnate content. Issue 23? More incarnate content. Issue 24? Say it with me: More incarnate content. 25? All but guaranteed to be more incarnate content. 26? Yup, you guessed it, more incarnate content.
Because we have 2 trials now, what could possibly make you think that is all we will ever have? or that the Devs want people to only run those two missions? -
To expand on what StarGeek said, there is a second major breakpoint at level 21. % bonus scales down but there are two caveats: Small bonuses do not get reduced (generally smaller than the level you exemp to but not exactly) and ED applies AFTER the downscale so overslotting for a key bonus is a valid strategy when exemplaring.
The key to using the first strategy is in the example of the ranged attack on the wiki page you were pointed to. Level 50 quads will give you the same bonus all the way down to level 21 (18%/18%/18%/18%). Level 43 triples work the same and level 24 doubles.
And, of course procs work as normal. -
Quote:I'll back Everything as it isn't any pending transactions. And the items are not invisible nor pending as I use the work around of sending them to a friend who resends them to me. Those emails come in and I claim them.A GM explained to a friend of mine that is a bug caused by a failure to retrieve an item from a different characters email. One of your characters was claiming an attachment and failed to do so probably due to lag or a crash. You'll need to logon different characters and open the email window on each of them until you find out which character it was to fix it. It should at that point either return the items to you or place them back in the email. You probably have a bunch of invisible items right now due to this.
Also, it is hitting the Mac and PC clients both as I use both.
Interesting. I'll have to test this but my global name doesn't have a space even though it looks like it could. -
Strange follow up, I loaded city on a windows boot camp and I have the same email problem there. Is it a setting somewhere maybe?
I tried /bugging it but never get any response but the canned "thank you for sending your bug report". -
My recommendation is to focus on bosses, they drop tips way faster than other mobs.
-
-
Quote:Depends on your kill speed. Bosses are worth between 10 and 5 minions depending on level (at level 1 it is a 10:1 ratio, but goes down the higher level you become). But if you can't kill them as fast as you kill 5-10 minions, you're better off with bosses off.So basically the best "farming" setup would be -1/x8 with Bosses. That would ensure the best rate of return on recipes and other things that depend on mob type?
then there is the complex factor of bosses dropping merit-only recipes at about the same rate as purples, and no other level of enemy doing this. So my guideline is if I can kill a bass as fast as 4 minions, I turn them on. If I find myself bogged down by them, I turn them off.
You'll need to figure out what works best for you. -
Anyone have suggestions for this one:
I can't email myself anything. If I have an attachment of any kind to an email, as soon as I send it is instantly pulled out of the email and the email is deleted. I get a message about claiming the item from email so I know it is properly sending, but it won't stick.
Any suggestions for a work around? I've bugged it after the last three patches. Started with i19.5.
