too big, however, means bigger than Rularuu. the Jade spider has some issues but mostly works. You gotta get really, really big. The changes talked about here are not that scale.

I do think that even though Atlas and Talos were that big, it's best not to have a bajillion heroes the size of buildings. But having a bit taller/smaller would be cool.

But even if I hate the set, I will buy it to support the game.

If it is just ice/fire combined that is dumb. But autumn means much more than that. even plant/ice is not quite it. Autumn is fall is the beginning of death. it's cold but not ice because that's winter. Definitely slow. It is aging. There's a lot they could do with autumn that is not fire/ice. And really, I don't see how fire fits in at all except visually when the leaves turn red/orange on trees.

I think that's either Martial Arts or Kinetic Melee. Dark is close but I don't think it gets there. Not sure on secondary.

I'm guessing on single hard targets you want leviathan with waterspout slotted with -res and damage procs, but I'm definitely not an expert on this. I build my stalkers for fast mission completions.

I'll be curious to see. Kind of a shame that we never had the cool build contests that brutes and scrappers and blasters have. Hehe, maybe get it started?

That would be pretty awesome. I was thinking put it in a fast firing attack, but depends, there are some interesting choices.

I'm curious to see how it works.

And two badges instead of 1. But you can get 1 badge solo pretty easy by hunting the spawns.

I always am a bit surprised that more people don't farm the seed of hamidon because the bosses have great drops and there's a lot of them. When I'm bored and sitting the queue, since I can't do missions I sometimes farm them on my mid-level or single-target focused characters. Since there bosses, they have a chance to drop merit recipes about as common as level 47+s drop purples. I've gotten some decent stuff off them. Especially now with the dual salvage drop bug.

I soooo want to pound his head into the sand permanently. In fact I'm in the habit of talking back to him in local chat even though I usually run these missions solo. He says, "But whose side are you on?" And I reply, "I'm on the side of kicking your sorry a$$."
There is that mission redside in Nerva where you hunt down Minx that includes getting a blocker to shut down the Rikti-based mediporter so you can actually capture her.

I would LOVE a villain or vigilante morality mission where you use that tech to give Maelstrom a severe thrashing/murder him.
  7. If you can reliably turn your damage bonus indicator blue, you don't need to slot for damage. If you are hovering below that, then you want to slot for at least some damage.

Once you are capped (300%), then as stated you want procs and containment and other outside sources of damage.

@ fulmens, been seeing it for more than just this halloween season. Though I bet you're right and the tip mission is helping.

I actually like the black panther mission because you get to team with frostfire and he's cool. Though it makes me sad that gaining 50 levels made him lose the ability to summon imps and jackfrost at the same time.

    Sex change?

If it is a bug, anyone know if a petition can get it fixed so people aren't forced to pay money to fix a bug (that's a precedent that has pretty ugly connotations right there).
  11. In his defense, Faathim is imprisoned by some pretty potent magic.

That said, it's quite lame from a quality of life standpoint.
  12. Here we go found it. Shows the blaster Silveress taking down a selection of GMs and a lattice and quarry (DE Monsters).

Also for strategy from later in the thread on how she survived long enough to kill them:

    Quote:
Look at the Defense. She has 32% Ranged and AoE Defense. Add a single Luck and that's soft-capped at 45%. That's a base 5% chance to hit, but I believe GMs get a 1.5 accuracy modifier. That means the GMs have a 7.5% chance to hit when she has a Luck. That Defense comes from Hover, Weave, and lots of IO Set bonuses. I expect she has 4 full sets of Blessing of the Zephyr (Super Speed, Hover, Fly, Group Fly), a full set of purple Confuses, and who knows what else. She also has about 48% Smashing and Lethal Resistance from Tough and Temp Invulnerability. That cuts damage from some GMs roughly in half. Notice that she didn't use hardly any Inspirations when fighting the Quarry and Lattice (which do Smashing and Lethal damage), while she did against the others (who tend to do Energy or Toxic damage).

All she needs to do is survive long enough in between lucky hits to regen all the damage. She regens nearly 27 HP/second before Drain Psyche, and nearly 32 with it. GMs don't tend to have a lot of ranged attacks, and AoEs tend to be weaker than single target attacks. She's got 1604 HP, so she can survive a hit or two. And she has Force of Nature and Eye of the Magus too.
Edit: @DZ131 longest fight took 20 minutes (Jurassik). This is before any incarnate powers or inherent fitness etc. So will probably be under 5 minutes today.

Pretty much any AT can do it. Just pop 2 or 3 purple inspirations, drop your lore pets (preferably the cimeroans or the warworks) and wait. If you have any debuffs at all use them (envenomed dagger is the best option universally available, but defenders, corrupters, masterminds, and controllers all have very powerful debuffs as well).

If you want some no insps no temp powers, well bots/traps MM, Ill/cold controller, fire/rad corrupter (or rad/fire defender) are all popular. If you do some searching for a chap named Silverado, who has videos of soloing many different Monsters and GMs and AVs with a fire/psi blaster. This included Hive Monsters.

If I can find the posts I'll edit this with a link, but I am horrid at searching.
  14. I think I can her the servers crying. They're saying something about preferring to be running Windows ME kludged to run networks than try to handle that on top of the load from pets. But that just makes me want to try it even more.

I mean, hey Domi's are villains afterall.

Those complaints being low HP and sub par damage for a melee class. If both of those were equal to scrappers without changing anything else, you'd have an AT that is just as tough as a scrapper, has a better percentage chance to land a crit, and has the ability to guarantee a crit on their opening strike and frequently land one at will.

I'm NOT saying that stalkers shouldn't get a buff, far from it. They need one desperately. It's just that they have to be careful what they buff and by how much.

Now, if they made stalker damage and HP equal to scrappers, and in return gave scrappers the higher chance to crit and the increased crit chance on teams, I would have no heartburn at all with it.

Scrappers would still have better AoE on most sets, but they would be much closer to equal than they are now.
Scrappers would have better AoE on all sets except ELM. And that means that stalkers would still be behind scrappers for 90% of the game's content. Having all the advantages you mentioned would definitely not make stalkers blow scrappers out of the water. But it would mean ELM was a bit too good.

And yet it still does more than the absolute amazement proc (still bugged and not firing after 2 years, but even if it did work, why debuff the attacks of a stunned enemy who can't attack?) or the chance for recharge debuff in that sleep set (let's see I'll slow his recharge and make sure he can't use any powers for 30 seconds until they are all recharged and the debuff has worn off. wOOt brilliant!)

I'm not sure what the devs think it is supposed to do, but the devs do have a history of coming up with useless procs.

My best advice, especially if you're only using it as a levelling build, is to just take everything in street justice and try them all out to get a feel for them. It's hard to screw up willpower and you'll have both stamina plus quick recovery so won't need to worry much on endurance.

Just have fun and don't sweat it and learn the powers. Then, when you swap to the final build, you'll be familiar with everything anyway.
  18. Personally, I'd love the smaller change of just getting the sliders to go a little bit farther. 9 or 10 feet tall and another 6-inches shorter.

But then I'll just end up sad that I'll never get my huge female body to go with it. Sadness. Much sadness.

I'm not sure. But I did get into a long past the timer ongoing event, and when I entered the house all the patrons in the line were dead. Never saw that again and the only person in the event didn't know about it either. Wish I thought to get a screenshot but it was my first time through and I thought that's how it was supposed to be so didn't think anything of it until I did a few more later on.

Put it into divine avalance or gambler's cut on ninja blade. Those are worked into any sane attack chain very often and you basically already toss golden dragonfly right after anyhow = pure win right there.

In my case, smite for dark melee. Not nearly as cool, but still a powerful tool.

If it gives hidden, not stealth. If it's just stealth I imagine this will get about as much play as the kinetic combat proc. That is to say, when you want the cheapest part of the set to get a set bonus.
  21. So, as I like so many others have been enjoying new alts as well as selling some recipes I pulled working the new first ward stories and the signature arcs, I noticed that there was #1 more stuff available than I'm used to seeing and #2 its actually moving for a reasonable price.

Now, I define reasonable as falling in-between "less than a level 40-50 equivalent" and "enough above crafting and salvage to make it decently worthwhile". I'm not one of those who won't touch anything with less than a 100m profit. And so seeing the likes of salvo and pounding slugfest and even rooting grasp be available at a variety of levels between 20 and 35 both crafted and recipe, and selling for between 500k and 2m each, seems to be pretty solid.

I'm guessing that the combination of lots of new alts for demand, and old players running the new mid-level content for supply is making it happen. Anyone else seeing the same? Or did I just hit a couple of particularly active weekend spikes?

This, even though it's only 15 seconds... that actually sounds much more useful to my playstyle now.
The thing to remember about 15 seconds, is that with IH up, I'm getting 170+hp/s. That's 2,550 HP recovered during the invincibility of MOG without touching my clicks. Just remember it has a psi hole.

You don't play redside much I'm guessing. Blade Princes = cold. Hellfrosts = cold. Hordelings = cold. Ice Thorn Caster = cold. Our COT do a fair bit of cold (definitely not as much as say Malta does S/L) all the way from 1 to 50.

Bueside there's the outcasts too. Cold is the rarest damage type, but it's not seasonal.

I tried both the fear proc and clouded separately and together. Not really so handy. I have left fear in for now because it's not worth selling. I've found that slotting for the fear is decent if you need time to kill lots of minions because you lack AoE. slotting for the -tohit is more powerful in the long run. Any damage is nice, but totally unreliable.

That can't be a legitimate reason because Spines does DOT also and stalkers already have spines. I know this as I have one. And he does dots with his attacks.

I'll never stop playing my dark/dark stalker. I tried to remake her a year ago as a dark/dark scrapper and it just felt like betrayal. I don't care if it's a "better" character or not. She's a stalker, and she's my #2 favorite character and I'll never leave her until they delete the AT from the game.
