Yes, we can use two builds now, I build a solo version of my Inv/SS with all generic IO's and a team version with real money. Your mileage may vary.
Re: Haymaker: Remember, Invincible's Defenses and Tough Hide's Defenses are typed, not positional so Mako's Bite may not be the best bet for you. I would recommend replacing it with 4 Kinetic Combats - all but the knockdown bonus, you've got plenty of knockdown with Foot Stomp and KO blow. Kin Com gets 3.75% Sm/Le defense with only 4 pieces, whereas Mako's gets 3.75% Ranged Defense with 6 pieces. And then maybe put two Pounding Slugfests into the other slots, b/c you seem to like +Regen.
Here's why I'm saying this: Your Ranged Defense will be around 25% after doing this. With the exception of Psi, all of your Typed Defenses are already higher than Ranged Defense. It won't benefit you very much to increase your positional defenses. Admittedly, there may be situations where your way may be helpful, but I think there will be more situations where my recommendation will be useful.
Edit: just noticed that you don't have Foot Stomp. I personally think that is SS's most useful attack and the premier PBAoE melee attack in the game. -
How the frak do you "advance thru the levels" of a slot machine?

afaik, the whole thing is just a popularity contest. Also afaik, the general Mensa membership did not choose the candidates, the editors of the Mensa USA Bulletin chose the candidates; and then submitted to the general membership to choose their favorites.
That being said, I'll pick Calvin vs Spider-Man and Indiana Jones vs Darwin in the Final Four, with Calvin going all the way. -
For those who don't know, Mensa is an international organization whose sole qualification to join is that a prospective member's IQ has to be in the top 2% of the world.
Well, in this month's USA Mensa bulletin, they have presented a 64 member, 4 region Heroes Challenge. Members are to vote on their favorite in each bracket beginning Nov 1, with the Finals beginning Dec 6 and the winner crowned in March 2011.
I'll break down the brackets for you, and if there's any interest, keep you updated on the progress of the tourney.
But before I begin, wtf? No Doctor Who? No Tarzan?

Tonight, after the normally scheduled RWZ raid, 35ish brave souls - oh, and a few reformed villains (i keed, i keed; more than a few) - ventured into the Hive and gave Hami and his minions what for! Congrats to Hopper, and all else who showed up, for a successful raid! Hopefully, the first of many!

I'll join with Turbolt (21 Elec/SR scrapper).

The Raid Telepad looks about 4 times larger than normal Telepads. Will it fit into a Teleport Bay? (The 1 x 2 room) If I put it into a room, how many does it count as? For instance, the 5 x 5 room will hold eight normal Telepads. The Raid Telepad counts as how many of those eight?

So what happens to characters that we create in Praetoria once the Reactivation Weekend is over?
For instance, I don't have GR, but I've always wanted to try a brute, but don't want to start in the RI. So I'll roll one in Praetoria once the Reactivation Weekend gets here. What happens to that toon once the weekend is over? Does the toon disappear? Or will I only get to access the toon again once I get GR? -
Yeah, but Prof X's "wheelchair" hasn't had wheels in decades.
Also, Chief of the Doom Patrol debutted about three months before Prof X. -

Quote:Running Unstoppable against LR, with or without slotting it, is a death sentence.Quote:My Dark/Dark Brute did it, and lived! Twice! *soul transfer*
Oh, and running Unstoppable against LR is NOT a death sentence. Just pop two purples and two oranges just before the Crash o' Death and you'll be OK. -
I'll join with Turbolt (21 Elec/SR scrapper).

I've always felt that Kryptonians (and, by extension, Daxamites) have some powers even under a red sun. After all, Kryptonians are able to move around on a planet whose gravity is much higher than ours, so they have at least low-grade superstrength.
I don't know if this is reflected in more modern comics, but Silver Age Superman's powers were clearly not just limited to our sun. He was roughly half as powerful under an orange sun and roughly twice as powerful under a blue sun. If you extrapolate that out, you have to assume that the closer he gets to a star, the more powerful he becomes. Power levels are determined by distance to the star and how hot the star is.
Of course, this is not supported by canon, but I used the idea in a DC Heroes RPG I GM'd a number of years ago. -
Looks like team one's full, so if there's a team two, I'll join with Turbolt (16 ElecMelee/SR scrapper).
-
I always thought that MAN builds were builds in which the toon had no real powers; at least no more than what a normal person would have. So no Fly, no Invis. Heavy on Leadership and Fitness.

If you just want to store them, just email them to yourself. This is only good for < 60 days, however.
Bit cheaper than buying an enhancement table. -
For all intents and purposes, they're permanent in an auto power.
They check every ten seconds. If not on, they turn on. If already on, they check again in ten seconds.
This is why the Healing Procs are much better in the power Health, instead of Dull Pain. -

Ahem, OK, that was moderately amusing.
But seriously, take me off your ignore list and try this one:
/macro TARG "target_custom_near alive ???????$$Powexec_name Taunt"
Replace the ??????? with whatever enemy type you want. For instance, if I'm in a ship raid, i'll replace the ??????? with "Rikti Magus." So everytime I hit the Macro, I target the nearest Rikti Magus and Taunt them.
Edit: Doing it from memory, ftl. Don't use "next", use "near" instead. Also, the "enemy" parameter is not needed, since you're specifying what type. Also, note that you need to click the macro twice to get both commands to activate. ie, once to target, then again to Taunt. -

OK, I don't have GR ... yet.
But I ran all ten TIP missions anyway, just to prepare. Now, everytime a TIP drops, I get this annoying pop-up, which says something like:
"That option is not available to you. Would you like to purchase GR now or later?"
It's not game-breaking, but it is annoying, since tips only drop during combat and I have to break my attack chain to click "No."
Is there a way I can turn this off?
Short of spending $39.99 to buy GR? -
