  1. Hopefully the beta server will be up to the task. I can imagine there's going to be a heavy load on it starting today.
  2. Has your wife ever played?

If she's still a newbie I'd suggest something that's durable like a tank of some sort.

To the last poster a shade isnt something I'd suggest for someone that might not know the game well.

Warshades and Peacebringers are not the easiest ATs to get into and feel comfortable with but if she's up to the challenge then go for it!!

They were indirectly nerfed when they fixed the recharge of pet powers!
Now there's no way to speed up those slooooow recharging control powers they have!
  4. This is the build I had in mind, my focus was recharge, recharge and MOAR recharge with a smattering of +hp and +regen. I'm not really sure where enuf recharge is enuf for a regen. I plan on taking the spiritual alpha of course.

What could I change to round out this build or do I have enough recharge to just plow thru things?

  5. Does anyone know how to build a good KM/REGEN?

I'm open to build suggestions. I do however want to take the soul PPP for shadow meld.

What kinds of set bonus's do I need to slot for and what's the priority list for them?
  6. With further testing I've found that only my raptor pack wont work in warburg. I have more than 10 other temp powers, all clicky ones tho, that will work. Only the raptor pack grey's out. I even tested by being in kings row with it on and I'll zone in hovering in the chopper but for about a second I'm flying in warburg then I'm dropping like a stone.
I'm not 100% on my recolection on where I picked up this pack, being in the shard or by recipe or safeguard mish, but that shouldn't matter should it?
It's definalty not the one available at the arena. I've only bought that stuff with 1 toon to find out it only works during a match, totally turned me off from that.
  7. Does anyone know why my raptor pack doesnt work in warburg anymore?
I haven't checked if it's the same in the other zones but it sure doesn't work in that zone.
  8. If I had the talent to write I'd contribute but that's just not in the cards for me.
Anyone else have anything good worth contributing?

    • Increase damage modifier to 50%
    • Increase ToHit values to 35%
    • Increase damage resistance values to 62.5% vs. all except Psi
    • Add in a taunt modifier equivalent to gauntlet, if not more so
    • Remove the crash
    • Reduce recharge to 10mins
    • Add a recovery resistance modifier
    • Add superadine effect (slight transformation, Merc gets very beefy)
    • Able to be used on players, but with 1/3 and or 1/2 the original values (this means 1/3 and or 1/2 the unenhanced values)
*strokes chin* That's an interesting idea there. I almost gave that the vulcan eyebrow.
  10. I found out about Proton Volley back when you could only get that set on defenders. I liked that sfx too, it always brought back good memories of watching Star Trek with my Dad.
It was also my first defender to 50. The fact that he was also Kin/ had no impact on how he flew to 50 after I heard that sfx. :P
  11. These issues must go back to the front of the line!

Creepers are buffable by leadership buffs and FS and whatever team buffs you have. I have a 50 plant/kin and I find casting FS after I have the creepers out works better than just doing FS first then bringing out the creepers. I'm not certain if the creepers adopt any of your active buffs when you spawn them but they sure do get buffed when I hit a mob with Fulcrum. The mob melts fast after I get that going.

I am having this problem too. Tested it in 2 different locations and I get the same message you do. It's something on their end, maybe they lost power or something. It's hard to say till a redname shows up to confirm.

I can see the rampant speculation on I20 dropping today because the server's down. lol

I wish it was IOless. I think I've put about 500 mil into it's current build which I havent listed. Unfortunatly some of it will have to be sacrificed. With this next build I'm going to strip a couple toons that don't get played much anymore and make this one rock hard.
  16. Very good points of opinion everyone. I appreciate your input and I'll be weighing my options heavily before I respec again.
  17. It took me the better part of a week just to get the T1 cardiac slotted. I still have a long way to go before I get lvl shifted. And that's a lot of shards to grind for with my current endo sucking build.

If I went all out for straight +rech and putting in fences and probably having to juggle lots of slots could I just rely on using veng bait with it 5 slotted with 2 Hami's and 3pc of LoTG? That should be enough to have it overlap with more than enough def. I could possibly not worry about slotting sets for def and focus on proc'ing out the build.? maybe?

I figure this is going to be a vengence fueled farmer so I'll be reliant on a corpse so there wont be much for solo action here. Besides I like witty banter!

*The -res proc is a possibility when I have enough inf to get it.

With the high recharge build there would I even have the time for fences in the rotation?
  19. So I've decided that my previous build for farming, focused on +melee def, is not up to snuff for the fire farms. After doing a lot of thinking and tinkering this is the build I've come up with, I focused on +fire def&resist then +rech.
Can anyone find any glaring holes that I might have missed? Something that I might not have thought of? Do you see anything that might trip me up? How do you foresee it's performance?

I sacrificed a travel power to fit everything in. Going to have to use a jet pack to get around.
The previous build is a big time endo hog, even with slotting a cardiac alpha it still sucks down the blue bar if I don't pace myself. I wanted a build that wouldn't need to use consume every time it's up. Altho with this build it looks like I wont really need consume execpt for rage and hasten crashes.

    Thanks for your advice.

    Tank Builds

With fire shield and tough slotted to ED cap what will DR make that s/l resist end up as?
Just trying to figure out if another toggle is worth it.
My thoughts on burn were for use after a mez effect wears off cuz more than likely someone will be closing in for the kill while I'm standing there like a sitting duck.
Dropping quicksand is an option, it hadn't really crossed my mind about grant invis but a good idea.

My attack chain will probably go FE+stone prison+fossilize+hurl and close in for KO Blow to finish them off. Is this a feasible strategy?

    Tank Builds

I'm planning on using my fire/ss tank for some pvp fun and this is the build I was going to go with. Could someone look at this and give me some pointers?
The only thing that I wont consider an option is PVPIO's. Those are too bloody expensive to throw at my lol melee tank.

I highly doubt that I'll have the inf to slot those microfilaments so I'll take any alternate suggestions.
  22. Could the winter event be over-riding that?
  23. I just had an interesting thought. Keep in mind the cottage rule thing and this idea probably wont fly but change poison gas arrow to poison gas trap arrow. Change it to location based like disruption arrow, keep the -dam and sleep rather than change to hold and add in the -regen that PGT has.

That would help nudge TA to debuff king.
  24. Trick Arrow really should have superior debuffs than any other set out there since there are ZERO buffs. That's my feelings on it.
  25. I'm entertaining the idea of going redside to pick up another pet to help out with damage and agro directors.
