Tank Builds
Ice can be good. Get a decent amount of recharge so you have capped hp. Also pick up hiber. Then slot as much ranged defense as you can. Ice I believe has some elusivity so defense will help a bit (Not a ton though so dont expect any miracles)
Stone is terrible. Movement is absolutely necessary.
And I would match Ice with SS?
Ss is the most optimal secondary for pvp
Fire/ss
Elec/ss
Invuln/ss
In that order are what I believe to be the best tanker setups...fire can have a complete reset every120 sec with phase and healing flames come up every 15 sec...plus with rage+FE fossilize spikes Perty hard...but for a teaming build I would take webs
If you like Ice then make Ice. I;d suggest ya to pick DM. It might be not that powerfull as ss but it will be an awesome combination specially if you get to have some defence on your tank. touch of fear can be the reason for you to win duels etc because they wont be able to hit you that easy. well that's my opinion . . .
SS is still the best tanker secondary around for zone or duels. Slotting for ranged defense on an Ice tank is not going to get very far since Ice Armors are typed defense not positional and as such your elusivity is typed as well.
Building for smash/lethal is your best bet all around but if you are going to fightclub S/L is really all you need (55% def is what you should shoot for but getting all of them up there can be a challenge while maintaing a decent build.) If you are going to spend time in zones then also get as much energy/negative and psi def as you can.
Hp and Recharge, taunt, some ranged attacks and you are set.
I'm planning on using my fire/ss tank for some pvp fun and this is the build I was going to go with. Could someone look at this and give me some pointers?
The only thing that I wont consider an option is PVPIO's. Those are too bloody expensive to throw at my lol melee tank.

funda, your s/l in pretty low. i would drop burn and hurl and get box/tough. also, drop quicksand, pick up grant invis and throw another lotg in that bad boy.

With fire shield and tough slotted to ED cap what will DR make that s/l resist end up as?
Just trying to figure out if another toggle is worth it.
My thoughts on burn were for use after a mez effect wears off cuz more than likely someone will be closing in for the kill while I'm standing there like a sitting duck.
Dropping quicksand is an option, it hadn't really crossed my mind about grant invis but a good idea.
My attack chain will probably go FE+stone prison+fossilize+hurl and close in for KO Blow to finish them off. Is this a feasible strategy?

I have had every type of account under the sun so it seems.
But I have always wanted to roll an interesting tanker build.
I don't think I'm interested in an WP/SS because everyone and their mom has that build.
Does anyone know if Stone/, or Ice/ can be good in PvP? Of course with the right IOs?
I really want an interesting tank build.
I'm open to any advice!
