I'm getting exactly the same thing.
Frustrating. I've been trying to find out if the servers were down for some reason.....

I am having this problem too. Tested it in 2 different locations and I get the same message you do. It's something on their end, maybe they lost power or something. It's hard to say till a redname shows up to confirm.
I can see the rampant speculation on I20 dropping today because the server's down. lol
I also tried on two computers heh and two connections. Thought it was just my account and panicking but thats put me at ease somewhat now. 
Its the normal thursday down time been off since 11am gmt

Err, maintenance window. the US has put their clocks forward already, making it an hour earlier.
We will put ours forward this weekend.
It is regular server maintenance guys.
As of Thursday, October 22nd, 2009, the regular bi-weekly server maintenance times will be modified and will take place once a week on Thursday from 4:00 AM Pacific / 7:00 AM Eastern to 6:00 AM Pacific / 9:00 AM Eastern.
Please note: while we are reserving that two-hour period for maintenance updates, they will not necessarily require the entire two hours and additional updates may be scheduled outside this time-period as needed. We may also perform maintenance on additional servers, such as the web servers, message boards, or login servers.

Can't login to freedom atm. say's its lost connection to DBserver. however, i can log into the other servers

Freedom seems to be having issues since the server maintenance this morning. I can log in either.
