I also imagine my 15 dollars a month should go towards some free Starburst in the mail. Where are my Starburst, devs? And none of those god awful tropical flavors, or else I'll leave for WoW, where they always send the original ones I love so well.

Just in case, I backed Bert's up on my server, too.
Mirror'd!
Edit: "Id like to extend to you an invitation to the pants party." is now my favorite quote ever. -
Bert, can you post a 1024 x 768 version of your wallpaper? It's really quite spiffy.
-
3rd place is my favorite.
And CaenFuryfist, your wallpaper is good in a sketchy fanart kind of way...but it doesn't have the CoH logo, the website URL, or really anything to do with City of Heroes. And it definitely isn't as good as the winners. Though, really, turn this around on them: make more wallpapers and fan-art, put them on a website, then put ads on the website and make some change off it. -
Hey, because only fanbois can detect BLANTANT IRONY AND HYPOCRISY WITHIN THE SAME SENTENCE.
You cannot start a post with "No ultimatums" and follow it up with "I'm going to delete my account if..." Pointing that out isn't kissing up to the devs, it's kissing up to the rules of the english language and the definition of ultimatum. -
Devs, no ultimatums or doom posts here, I just wanted to let you know that unless you change everything I want you to instantly the second I want it done, I'll be cancelling my account with you just like EVERYONE WHO HAS EVER PLAYED.
*irony detector explodes* -
I'm going to go with "more customizable body types" as evertheskeptic brought to the table. Statesman already said a fix for the model bug some experienced with issue 3 is coming, and that would be it.
-
If this is about the Skills System, I can easily see why it was delayed an issue in lieu of the arena. The Skills System is almost like an entire game unto itself in terms of missions and ways to get XP. It's going to take a lot of time to code and perfect that before we can test it. The arena, on the other hand, just takes some small tweaks and a new Arena map. I'm sure issue 4 will have the usual: a new zone, some new TFs, many new badges, and a new villain group, too.

Lots of whining from geekchick. Don't let the door hit you on the way out...

Except for the fact that Statesman said it was the FORUM POSTS that helped him come to this conclusion. He didn't take the credit for this anywhere in any of his posts here.
Goodbye. Go be negative and demand the world in another game. -
My friend's SG used to have a GM in it. They saw a level 1 police drone floating around, so they invited it to their supergroup and he took them up on it.
-
Starting with issue 4, there should be some kind of filter on the forum that just deletes tankers derailing threads with whiny posts about how horrible they are before they get posted.
-
To be honest, I needed help with a lot of +1 and duo bosses before this change, so perhaps it's always been a bit towards forced grouping for defenders, controllers, and blasters.

Regen is a build, not a whole AT onto itself, folks.

During the PCC event, didn't Cuppajo and the crew ask a few times whether us heroes would like the chance to travel back to fight during the Rikti Invasion?

I have to give a very big thanks to GM Hughe. This morning (at around 4 AM eastern) my SG mate and I were doing an old skull "disarm the bombs/rescue the hostage" timed mission. We go through the entire map 4 times and can't find the last bomb. Now, being level 45+ heroes regularly, we knew we checked everywhere. So we sent out a petition. About 5 minutes later, I came up with the idea of leaving the map and then coming back in again (it was late, or else I would have thought of that earlier). We do so and the glowie appears on re-entry RIGHT in the middle of a room. I click it and just as I get the Mission Complete Hughe shows up. That's 5 minutes at 4 in the morning. He was very understanding of us solving our own problem and very polite. That GM Hughe deserves a bonus of some sort.

I wouldn't mind at least seeing another enterance from another zone added to Founder's to cut back on all the traffic going in and out of Talos. Maybe this will be the new zone.

I'm going to have to agree with what someone else said: no need to waste time looking into elec/elec blasters. Sure, I don't kill/arrest as much as fire or energy blasters, but I don't think I'm gimped at all.
Question : You mentioned at Wizard the possibility of expanding powerpools with new powers, and mentioned a "Teleport to Map Point" power for the TP set. Would there ever be a flying attack-like power added to Flight? Or what kind of fifth power are you considering for that, if you have even considered it yet? -

Both Archetypes have brand NEW power sets.
In fact, there's 16 Primary Powers and 16 Secondary Powers.
Yep. Not 9. 16.

Of which 12 and 14 are useless.... wanna bet?

Iconoclasm is cool! It's what drove Daria to be the best cartoon ever and have millions of seasons. -
It would be fun if there were a one-shot portal missions where you go to a dimension where Blue Steel never found the shield and gained his power. You'd get there, expecting him to be some kind of monster or demon or mutant, you fight off a bunch of evil cops who are on his side, and then you get to the end to find a fat, bloated Blue Steel who found a box of donuts that day instead.
Edit: I would also like to make a formal complain due to this flagrant display of reverse discrimination. Sure, the big superhero team takes the token catgirl to fill the minority slot, but it leaves the perfectly capable "cop with shield and stupid costume" in the unemployment line, taking sidejobs training heroes in the ghetto for spare influence -
Time for a fun little game of "What Would It Be Like Without Exploiting!"
What would it be like without exploiting? Well, single heroes would be running around from door to door, killstealing and leaving mobs behind after they get those badges, possibly putting heroes in the low level zones at risk when the tricks catch up to them en mass.
What is it like now? Everyone is organized in groups of 8, taking turns clicking in the same door.
I don't see where the problem is. It's certainly not as intended, but it's safer for everyone else. -
I found that if it said treat and gave nothing, that meant my inspiration tray was full. I was still getting XP, only it was showing up only on the combat-tab.
And where's the fun in camping at one door? -

Statesman has been infected with a Nictus!

I think what we're most irritated about his how he blanketly stated how electric blasters aren't broke, and how many of us think we are.
I LOVE playing my blaster. I think of myself as a blastroller. I can do a ton more damage than a controller, and have a bunch of holds and hold-like abilities that alow me to control multiple mobs at once.
Another note, ever notice how the electric blasters that talk about how awesome!!!111 Havoc Punch and Charged Brawl are never past level 30? Just a comment.
I think that Voltaic Sentinel is bad.
I think that Lightning Field does NOT drain endurance like it should.
I think the electric secondary is generally worthless except for build up and power sink. (and occasionally the final hold)
I think when newer elec blasters complain about damage, they are just comparing themselves to other classes who have many more attacks. I have three attacks I use on a regular basis, Charged Bolt, Lightning Bolt, and Ball Lightning. Everything else is situational.
I can't remember where I was going with this.
[/ QUOTE ]
Havoc Punch and Charged Brawl are great. I use them every fight as long as I'm sure I have my target either tesla caged or out of END. And I'm level 37-going-on-38.
Edit: I never took lightning field and respec'ed out of thunderstrike, however. I always felt those powers were lacking, but not in a radical "this needs to be changed now" way. In the kind of way a devices blaster might avoid taser kind of way.
