Ok. If they can make this, they can make a good Daredevil movie.
-
Bah. I don't like the costume.
-
I guess the thing that I would like the most out of all the things that I suggested (I got kind of carried away) would be the ability to use the whip attacks from Demon Summoning instead of the dumb looking swords.
And.....I WANT A FIRE KATANA!!! -
I'm with you there. I bought a combo pack with both games, and didn't touch CoH for the first couple of years. Nowadays my toons mainly play heroside, but it's only because there aren't many people playing villianside. I much prefer CoV and hope that the influx of new players will revitalize the Rogue Islands.

It looks a bit off to me as well. While watching True Blood the other night, I was watching the werewolf guy and thinking "Man, if that dude would shave he'd look like Superman!" I've since seen where others have suggested him as Supes, but I'm guessing he probably doesn't have the acting talent to be the star of a feature film. But damn, that dude looks like Superman!

I'm suggesting that a pool of animations be available for any power in the game. Meaning that if you don't like how Thunderstrike's animation looks, you can substitute a similar timed animation like Knockout Blow for the power. I know that alternate animations have been made for some sets, but it's still not what I'm looking for with some of the powers. I've been thinking of two powersets that I've been playing a lot lately that might benefit from this:
Fire Melee has three sword attacks, but I HATE how both of the swords look. One is the scimitar and the other is the giant sword. I choose the scimitar, but it's not much of a choice. I suggest a third option of sword be available, the Fire Katana that the mastermind pet, Oni, uses. Also, though, I'd love to see the option to use three of the fire whip animations (Corruption, Lash, and Crack Whip) from the Demon Summoning mastermind set, instead. One of them, Crack Whip, has the character swinging the whip around in a circle, so that could be used in place of Fire Sword circle easily. One is a ranged power, but maybe the animation could be changed slightly, or just be left alone for less work, and have the effect remain the same for Fire Sword and Greater Fire Sword. Anyway, I think it would be really cool to have the whip be available for more than just the demon summoning powerset.
Martial Arts/Kinetic Melee:
This is the real mashup I'm thinking about. While playing a new Kinetic Melee/WP brute, I found myself wishing for Martial Arts for Brutes for the millionth time so I thought that it might be cool for the option to have alternate animations from some of the kicking animations from MA in place of the KM ones. Also, I think that Martial Arts would be better if the option to have some strikes, from KM, be available instead of almost all kicks. -
I think the main reason for Walk to turn off all other powers is so that the female form can be seen clearly while strutting around without being occluded by various auras, armors, and power's effects.

They should have just called that movie "The Ultimates"
-
If I have Shield Defense as my secondary, I want to Hurl the shield!

I just started a KM/WP brute, redside. I guess I should have tried Preatorian to really test him out, but KM is just wiping the map of the low level baddies in Mercy Island. Fun so far!

Quote:I did include her in my list of "Bat-Family" didn't I?Isn't Cass now known as BlackBat, working in Hong Kong, and she was adopted by Bruce Wayne. Wouldn't being adopted by Bruce make her part of the family?
I also stated that I haven't read any monthly comics in several years, so I was unaware that she had been adopted by Bruce.
I'd define the "family" as anyone who works/worked with Bruce regularly and actually knew that Bruce Wayne was Batman. In a very literal sense, I guess Bruce's family is Dick, Tim, Damian, and Cass, since he's adopted or fathered them all. -
I'll agree that the "Bat-Family" has grown exponentially. In the current pre-DCnU continuty we have:
First there was Alfred.
Dick Grayson as the first Robin. Then Dick quit/got fired and went to work with the Titans and eventually became Nightwing, but they have reconciled since then with Dick filling in as Batman on occasion.
Barbarda Gordon as the first Batgirl until she was shot and paralyzed by the Joker, but still remained close in her role as Oracle.
Jason Todd was the second Robin until the Joker killed him, but was resurrected by a retcon punch and is currently the new Red Hood. (I don't consider him a part of the Bat-Family unless they have recently come to terms, but I don't see how that could be since Jason has killed truckloads of people since he came back).
Tim Drake became the third Robin but has since become Red Robin. (I'll admit, it's been several years since I've collected comics monthly so I'm a bit behind)
Cassandra Cain became the second (?) Batgirl. I know that Huntress was wearing a "Bat" costume when No Man's Land began, but was quickly stripped of that by Batman. Cassandra has since become a villain for some reason and I guess she may be part of the family again in the DCnU.
Selina Kyle as Catwoman was a villain for years, but turned hero/vigilante and eventually became romantically involved with Batman, and thus became part of the family.
Stephanie Brown was connected to the family by her relationship, both romantic and as The Spoiler, but really became a part of the family in a brief stint as the fourth Robin when Tim Drake quit. Stephanie apparently died, but has since come back and is/was a new Batgirl.
Damian Wayne is Bruce's son with Talia al Ghul, and is the current Robin.
Those are the ones that I consider to be close enough to be part of the "Bat-Family". As I said before, I haven't been collecting monthly in years, so I don't know how close Kathy Kane/Batwoman is to Batman and his Family. -

Quote:Not to derail the thread, but since you brought it up, I stopped watching Burn Notice because I was bored by it. Also a major factor in it was that I couldn't believe how underutilized Bruce Campbell was. My wife and I watched it a few times and yeah, he had a couple of amusing lines as Sam, but man, what a waste. If they are letting him cut loose with the role, I might have to start watching again. This could be good, but if Bruce Campbell's tweet in that article is correct, then it's a remake.
Also Bruce Campbell has been hilarious in Burn Notice, he has way too much fun with that role.
Back on track: Yeah, I'll be seeing this, whatever it may be; remake or sequel. -
I really like it. To add to it, if you survive the Deathtrap, the boss you encounter could be a new contact since you survived his/her test.

I posted that pic because it actually appeared in a comic, and because Power Girl is a prime example of why things should be revamped. Since the Crisis, she's been an Atlantian to possibly a Kryptonian, to being Supergirl from another Earth, and as a result, total inconsistencies in her powers and story. The only thing that remained the same, although they did get bigger as did the hole in her costume, was her boobs. From seeing the pictures of the DCnU, I'm assuming that she will appear in a costume that covers her up a bit.

I read that series. It started VERY strong and I'll say that the first couple of trades are worth picking up, but after that creative team of Brubaker / Faction / Aja left I wouldn't really bother with. Awesome stuff in those early issues though.
-
I've been reading comics for 20+ years and instead of getting pissed about this author forgetting what this other one did 30 years ago, or on the previous run a month ago, I just treat it as "it happened on Earth 2" and think of all the stories as separate.
As someone else mentioned, this DCnU thing is most likely on an Earth somewhere in the multi-verse and the DCU Earth we've been reading since post Crisis still exists elsewhere. -
Quote:It happens to me often with RoA, Lightning Rod and Shield Charge. I'm sure there are others that I'm not thinking of right now, but yes, I' have experienced this MANY times. And many times it's been the death of my SS/SD brute.Ok, so I had been away from the game for a while. I played for about 2.5 years prior to 2009 and I came back in 2010 some time. At some point something must have changed with the way that location AOE's are planted on the ground. I used to be able to reliably hit boost range on my archer and drop ROA in the middle of a mob with out any fuss.
Now I find my self doing the same action only finding that I am clicking on the ground like mad trying to find a spot where it will actually let me drop it. By which time most of the mob has been wiped out by my team, sometimes the circles will actually expire and I'll have to activate the power again.
Is this a known bug, a "feature", is there a fix I am unaware of?
All I know is it is incredibly frustrating and slows me down. -

Who cares? As long as it features Power Girl's boobs, I'm a fan of it.
