Oh stop. If it were a Liberty or community thing you'd bring more of your events to LB despite whatever problems you or your gaggle of friends may have with it. My gut response is "what a bunch of self important schmucks..." but that's not a nice thing to say.
Good luck on Sunday. I'm crossing my fingers hoping that Wednesday's attempt fails so the Sisterhood (and friends) get the credit they truly deserve.

Same here. It happens with the store is unavailable or apparently when globals and **** are ****** up.
Wait for that to get resolved and you'll get your slots back.

Ops is a good SG to be associated with... DW does not currently have Vent or TS3... however, we are considering a move in that direction in the near future...
There are serveral larger and active SG's on Liberty (ours included) but Ops is a vent capable SG. A few others I would recommend for their size and activity level is A.W.O.L and the Sisterhood... I'm sure there are a few more, but these are the three we have teamed with most in the past and they have all been highly rewarding experiences... You can't go wrong with any of the three... You can do it through the UI. I'm not in game now but the icon is there. Try using the advanced options. You can either release tiers of pets, a single pet or all pets.
The command is something like /release_all_pets I think if you want to macro it.
Type /cmdlist and you'll see it.
Either way you don't have to do one at a time. -
Oh I noticed you didn't take stamina. I suggest it. You don't need the 4 patron powers or leadership to be honest unless you're going for IOs and a specific goal.
So I'd suggest stamina, maybe drop assault and maneuvers then take 2 patron powers. -
Your levels are off but that's the right number of powers and the choices look fine. It'll work.
After lvl 32 the power choices are at 35, 38, 41, 44, 47, 49.
Welcome back to the game and enjoy Demons/Dark, it'a quite fun. -
Here's a thought, you could join DreamWeaverz or DreamWreckerz. They have a website... and and a calendar... and and and you can also join their chat channel and watch them grow!!!
On second thought, join that dude's group above. He's good people.
V-side you can join my group but there's really only 2 of us that play. chan_join LB, it's the best way to get on teams.

PVE or PVP?
To answer your original quesiton I'd say thugs/storm for PVP. Gangwar is a nice distraction.
Now for traps I'd choose bots. Their burn patches are real nice. -
It's expensive but it'll work.
I'd drop stealth and take aim. I'd also drop 2 slots from Hibernate, maybe toss 'em in Shadowfall or something. -
There are several demon/dark builds on this page and some of the sub-pages. Load one of those up in Mids, change demons to thugs and voila!
You can either build for +HP and +rech or go for softcapped s/l and/or ranged.
There are builds-a-plenty around these parts, just do a bit of searching. -

So I run in in bodyguard mode with about 27% defense. I want to ensure that my traps are set off, so I basically drop right in the middle of the group and lay traps. As soon as they attack me, the Bots go nuts. This obviously puts them in melee more than they probably should be, but they are still kicking butt.
What is the best way to keep the bots and range and still make 100 sure your awesome traps are being set off? Or is the way I'm doing it ok?
I prefer to run in and drop poison trap myself.
