Oh, and I think you can cap the flight speed if you go with 3slotted swift instead of hurdle. 3FlightSpeed on Swift and 1 on Fly should cap it. You save a few slots like this.

    Fire/Ice Respec

Hiya mate My opinion might not be reliable since my highest blaster was a L12. Anyway, here it goes:

Fire Blast: 4 seconds recharge (base) - You really want this to fire even faster? Take off that recharge and place it somewhere else.

Fire Ball: I'm guessing most Fire Blasters use it after poping Build Up and Aim (speaking of which you should try to have both pre-30 so you can use it in Sirens) so you really don't need that 2nd accuracy (some players don't even slot it with accuracy).

Ice Sword: I do believe you can take off that recharge. Try to keep in mind that you don't rely on that attack only. You're attack chain will be something like Build Up + Aim + Fire Blast - Blaze - Ice Sword (this for PvP). By the time you're done with this attack chain, you'll always have another power ready to shoot.

Aim and Build Up: As I said before, try to fit both in your pre-30 build so you can use it in Sirens. It really makes a difference. Also, 3recharges are the best slotting. THbuffs are only worth on Aim irrc.

Aid Other - Again, do you really want to waste slots on this? Go Stimulant instead. Stimulant is almost as good as Clarity or Clear Mind (except for the lack of +perception I believe). No need to slot Stimulant (put 1Rech or 1EndRed in the default slot if you like).

Aid Self: Maybe 2Heal2Int2Rech would do better.

Blazing Bolt - It got a base recharge of 12 seconds and you got hasten. Go with 2Acc3Dmg only. Or 1Acc3Dmg if you pop Aim and Build Up first.

    Freezing Touch - I'd go 2Acc2Hold2Rech or 2Acc2Hold

As for the Ancillary Pool, I believe either Force or Cold Mastery are the best choices. Force offers you nice S/L resistance, Personal Force Field (really good for PvP and a good power to have with Aid Self) and a "God Mode" (Force of Nature). Cold Mastery got Snow Storm (good to spam and unhide Stalkers) and Hibernate (I love it on my tanker).

    Hope this helps a bit
  3. I'd say DM/SR. Elude -> Soul Drain -> Attack Chain = Uberness

    Ice/SS and Epics

Actually I think there are currently more MMs than Stalkers. And the number of Dominators has increased a lot in the past few months, so having a hold might be a good option.
  5. I'm planning on slotting HT with 2Rech and 2Disorients. It's a great debuff/disorient power, it shouldn't be used just as a rez. Give it a try, it will make things so much easier.
  6. I'm up for it. Got TS already
  7. My point is... Will one of them boost the other?
  8. I've been wondering what power should I activate first on my trollers: Vanguard or Power Boost? Or any order will do? Thanks.

    Fire/Rad

Sorry about that. Probably I explained myself wrong. I was talking of "real" Super Heroes like Wolverine, Human Torch and many others. They're heroes who like to try things on their own. I never said it was a bad thing. They rock

Fire/Rad is a good combo. You might be able to solo GMs/AVs, but it will be tough and will take a long time.

    Fire/Rad

    [ QUOTE ]
I agree with dark here, imps are your main dam dealers and they are way too squishie; one or two (AoE) attacks from AV = dead imps.
Ill/rad makes a better fit indeed. (ofcourse lvl dif with AV makes a lot of difference) But still, what's the point really trying to solo an AV?

    [/ QUOTE ]

To test your limits? There are always egocentric super heroes who think they can take everyone down by themselves.

I tried to solo a few Monsters, GMs and AVs myself. Beaten Paladin with my Fire/Rad a few months ago (still on I8). Got my [censored] kicked by many others tho. AVs tend to be a bit harder to solo imo. Maybe you can do it with a few temporary powers and filled up insps tray. Still it should be pain in the [censored].

Myself, I have the most fun and feel more like a hero when I'm in teams. Never been the solo type.

    Ice/SS and Epics

Why don't you go Ice Mastery and pick Tactics? My Ice/EM took Energy Mastery cuz I can stun pretty much everything with TF and ET. I just needed the accuracy bonus. But with Rage slotted with To Hit Buffs and 2 accuracy SOs on the main attacks you should do fine.

I wouldn't worry about the Stalkers using Elude. Maybe you can't kill'em but they can't kill you either. At L50 you should have over 3200HP (with hoarfrost and accolades). Oh, and you got Hibernate. So, you're pretty tough to kill. When he runs out of Elude he'll become quite easy to kill.
  12. Any build can do fine without Stamina if you got a team provinding you Endurance all the time. But that's not the point here.

My opinion was based on the capability of the player by himself. Regen and TA are the only sets that I believe you can do totally fine without Stamina. And most Masterminds too.
  13. It seems to be the right choice to me You could probably do it without Stamina, but you would have a much more limited playstyle.
  14. Wet Ice only needs 1 EndRed (default slot).

Is Membrane Exposer a */DefBuff HO? If not, I would slot EA with 3rech2DefBuff1EndMod. It works much better. You can still fill get a good amount of End with 3 foes.

Taunt is autohit for PvE. I'd put 1Rech instead.
  15. The only reason I would pick Aim on a Defender is because of the Nuke. Since your nuke is up quite often (60 secs base recharge IIRC), Aim should be a good choice.

My advice would be dropping Flash Arrow (IMO it's an OK power at low levels, but at your lvl I believe it's easily skippable), pick Aim and pick Stunning Shot at L35.
  16. I have no clue how oftern RA is up with 3Rechs and Hasten. Anyway, if you want to be a good Earth troller you do need Stamina. Earth Control is uber because of its ability to control entire mobs. Fossilize, Stone Cages, Quicksand, Stalagmites and Earthquake are powers that I use on every single mob with my Earthie and it requires a bit of End (even if you put a few End Red in there) to keep the mobs locked down.

However, if you're willing to be a healer with a few nice controlling tricks to be used once in a while , then it shouldn't hurt much to go without stamina (still you might have to pop a blue once in a while, except when RA is running).

Anyway, if you're dropping something I would advice on dropping Mr Poo and maybe Earthquake. Stalagmites+Stone Cages offer some nice control already. Or drop Stone Cages and keep Stalagmites and Earthquake. Both options should work fine. Salt Crystals is meh power unless you're soloing. VG is uber, I wouldn't advise on dropping it.
  17. I haven't looked at the slotting but I certainly would take Blind at L1. It's way too good. It's your ST hold, does decent damage and helps you doing double damage with Spectral Wounds (containment). Also I wouldn't pick Conserve Power. You're Kinetics, just go close to an enemy and borrow some End
  18. That's a fairly rare combo Or at least I haven't seen any in the past few months.

    Force Field:
    - Deflection and Insulation Shields
    - Dispersion Bubble
    - Force Bubble (Good for both PvE and PvP)
    - Detention Field (Great value in PvP)

From Fire Control I'd say the must haves are Char, Flashfire and Imps. Bonfire is quite handy too. Cinders is ok, but Flashfire is way better. Ring of Fire can be considered a must since it will be pretty much your main attack 'til L32.
Fire Cages + Hotfeet is a nice combo, but I'm not sure if it will work that well on a bubbler. It rocks when paired with Radiation tho.

    Enjoy your toon

    Slotting Char

    [ QUOTE ]
The question is: when you stack char on a bad guy, does the DOT component stack and does it stack with its containment damage?

    [/ QUOTE ]

    I believe it does.
  20. False_Fiction

    Slotting Char

I'd go with 2Acc/1Hold/3Rech. You don't need your hold to last that long. Fulcrum Shifted imps will get stuff killed in no time, so it's better for you to be able to spam it than making it last.
  21. False_Fiction

    Stone/??

Between Kinetics and Empathy I would say Kinetics. You will be welcomed for teams and you will be able to solo decently (still slowly tho).
On the other hand, Earth is a very strong crowd control set but quite weak for damage. That said I think you should consider a secondary set that could offer you even more control like Storm or Radiation.
  22. I love my Ice/EM. Once I got ganked by 2Stalkers, 1Corr and 1Dom at RV and managed to kill the Dom, Corr and 1 of the stalkers without dying. The other one just kept running away and popping elude.

Later on, the Corr sent me tells saying I was really tough to kill and started asking me stuff about the Ice set
  23. False_Fiction

    ice/fire tanker

I would change a few things:

CE: You can and should slot it with 1-2 Taunt durations.
EA: 3Rech2EndMod1DefBuff works fine for PvE. For PvP I use 3EndMod3Rech
Fire Ball: I think 1Acc3Dmg2Rech would work better.

    *Edit*

I would take off Hurdle and Icicles and go for Stimulant + Aid-Self. It's not that you're gonna need it much, but it might be more useful than hurdle. Beside that, Icicles is quite end heavy and you already got enough AoE potential
  24. False_Fiction

    Spines / SR

It would be easier to give you an advice if you showed us your build My Spines/SR is L41 and it got all SR powers and Lunge, SBurst, BU, Impale, Quills and Ripper from Spines.
  25. Here goes my opinion on a [u]solo[u] build:

Note: These are the powers I consider as "must haves" on both Illusion and Kinetics set for SOLOING. On my build I got all powers except Group Invisibility on Ill set and all but IR and Repel on Kinetics set. But since we're talking about Soloing, this would be my choice:

    [u]Illusion Control[u]:

    [u]Spectral Wounds[u]
This will be your only attack for all your carreer as an Illusionist or until you get to Epic Powers. It does Psionic damage (quite unresisted) with a decent range (80f iirc).
    Slotting: 2Acc 3Dmg

    [u]Blind[u]
This is your single target hold. You must pick it. Not only it holds a foe as it also allowds you to benefit from containment damage.
    Slotting: 2Acc 2Hold 2Rech or 2Acc 1Hold 3Rech

    [u]Deceive[u]
This power isn't mandatory. On late levels I always found myself rushing into the mobs on Invincible without a problem. However, I love it. You can use it on Sorcerers to benefit from their Hurricane and Heal; on CoT Mages for Fortitude, on Sappers (end drain), Skyraider Engineers (Force Field) and probably some other nice stuff that I can't remember right now.
    Slotting: 2Acc 2Confuse 2Rech or simply 2Acc 2Confuse

    [u]Superior Invisibility[u]
    Great for ghosting and/or scouting.
    Slotting: 1EndRed (default slot)

    [u]Phantom Army[u]
Th3 Ph4nt0m 4rmeh! There are a few ways of using PA. Some people like it to help doing damage, others just want it to be up ASAP so they can use it as combat opener to take the Alpha. I'm part of the second group.
    Slotting: 2Acc3Dmg1Rech or 3Rech or 3Rech3Dmg or 3Rech1Acc2Dmg

    [u]Phantasm[u]
This is your personal blaster. It will do all the damage you need and it has a great duration. Plus, it clones himself.
    Slotting: 2Acc3Dmg1Rech or 3Acc3Dmg

    [u]Kinetics[u]:

    [u]Transfusion[u]:
AoE heal around a foe. Excellent heal.
    Slotting: 2Acc3Heal1Rech

    [u]Siphon Power[u]:
Buffs your damage and Debuffs your enemy's damage. I believe the buff/debuff is around 15-20%.
    Slotting: 2Acc1Rech or 1Acc1Rech

    [u]Siphon Speed[u]:
I find this power to be underrated. Most people pick it on teen ages to help on travelling but then respec it off. Gentlemen.. Pick it, spam it, love it. It boosts your recharge in 20% and it stacks. Not to say that it also debuffs the foe in speed and recharge.

    [u]Speed Boost[u]:
Lovely on teams. But it can also be good on solo. Boos your Phantasm everytime. The faster it kills the better, right?
Slotting: 3EndMod (Phantasm doesn't needs end but if you'll ever team with someone you'll want to have it properly slotted)

    [u]Transference[u]:
AoE end "heal". It boosts your blue bar in 48%, draining foe's end in the same ammount I think. I probably love this power more than Fulcrum Shift.
    Slotting: 2Acc3EndMod1Rech or 2Acc2EndMod2Rech or 2Acc1EndMod3Rech

    [u]Fulcrum Shift[u]:
Yea, I lied. This is the power I love the most. On solo you can't push it to its maximum strenght but it's still lovely. It boosts your damage.
    Slotting: 2Acc3Rech or 3Acc3Rech

That's it. As for the pool powers I'll always recommend Hasten and Stamina. I went for Flight power just cuz it fits better on my toon.

    Hope it helps a bit
