Dark/Elec build for your critism....
I'd probably move Shadowfall forward, but not sure what I would push back.
Fearsome Stare is nice to have ASAP, I'm guess just a switch with Aim or put Lightning Bolt in later as you're going with an AoE focus

I play Dark/Elec and if you're looking for damage, you're taking the wrong Secondary. That said, with Power Sink and Short Circuit you can do some mean endurance draining. Elec also has the advantage of another Mag3 hold in Tesla Cage that will stack with Petrifying Gaze and you get another pet in Voltaic Sentinel that isn't targetable by your enemies. However, this really only comes in later levels. As it is, you'll be teaming with a good damage dealer so with two holds (which you seem to be skipping, argh!) and Fearsome Stare, you'll be able to lock down a lot of the aggro while they go to town.
I find that my Dark/Elec is very Controllery and doesn't do very good damage at all. If you want to do better damage, you might want to consider Dark/Sonic. The resistance debuffs in Sonic Blast will stack with the one in Tar Patch and help you to do more damage. Sonic can give you some soft controls too with a cone sleep and a ranged stun. I've tried Dark/Sonic too and it's pretty nice.
I will make a quick comment on Thunderous Blast. As a Defender nuke, it's not going to do huge amounts of damage and by sapping your endurance, two of your best defences, Darkest Night and Shadow Fall will crash, leaving the team almost defenceless. I'm not a fan of Defender nukes for this reason but then you're welcome to disagree.
Good luck.

Not all defender nukes are that bad, the Rad one leaves the foes held for an acceptable duration, at least long enough to pop some blues and deal with the problems

That is true and with a combination of Short Circuit, Power Sink and the End Mods in Thunderous Blast, it'll probably be quite survivable as anthing left standing will be completely drained. Still, I don't think the endurance cost and retoggling, redebuffing (is that a word?) is worth the damage but then, that's just me.

Noooooo ive been waiting for 38lvls to get that damn nuke and your saying its [censored] *goes sits in the corner and sobs gently*
edit: just thinking if i cast lightning cloud and sentinal then TB i should be ok as they will continue mopping up for me.
*pats self on shoulder and drys eyes*
Oh I wouldn't say it's completely rubbish by any means, if you want to take it, please do. I love nukes but when I'm playing a Defender, I always consider that my first priority is to look after the team and draining my endurance away on an attack that will not have the damage capacity of a Blaster at that level seems to be a waste of time to me. That's just how I play my Defenders but it's certainly not a slight on the power itself.
Besides, as I've said, combined with some of your other endurance drain powers, it is quite survivable and can render your foes unable to attack due to drained endurance.

And of course get your endurance back to full fast enough.
I'd probably want a chain of Fearsome Stare, Short Ciruit, Thunderous Blast, Catch a Breath, Power Sink, Fearsome Stare.

Cheers for the input, gunna stick with it for now...so the damage might not be great, but the cossie looks cool and i get 2 pets
Which brings me nicely to another question...Voltaic Sentinel, does it last till end of mission/zoning or does it fizzle out after awhile, the planner i use says duration 45secs...if it last that long, is it worth a recharge or 2 to make it as near perma as poss?
Sentinal just fades away after a bit but tbh is pretty much perma with hasten running. But be warned the damage is a lil bit on the poop side
Every little bit helps
I'm planning on slotting HT with 2Rech and 2Disorients. It's a great debuff/disorient power, it shouldn't be used just as a rez. Give it a try, it will make things so much easier.

Yep, i use it as a control debuff too. The animation is too cool to waste just when someone keels over.
Sods Law of course dictates that as soon as you trigger it some poor fecker on the team will faceplant of course
Hehe murphy FTW.
HT deserves at least 3 slots. Excellent control tool and the -regen/-recharge is very nice for EB's/AV's too.
I build my dark/elec staminaless
It was hard at times and solo it's no good, but it gave me room to get lots of other nice powers like vengeance and the 2 holds.
Conserve power from the power epic does wonders and together with the little end return from elec and the inherent vigilance i can cope pretty fine even with all (5/6) toggles running all the time. Just bring lots of blues and alert your team to provide you with some along the way.
I play her as a total debuffer for flooring accu and draining end. Even got the nuke to top it off on those occasions, but maybe will respec it out.
This toon has always been a joy to play.

How does this build look? I wanted a slightly move offensive build and decided on the above...but thought i'd run it by you people first.
Couple of things about this toon, it's going to be mainly Duo'in with a Fire/Fire Blaster/Blapper and we're not fussed about rep levels...the higher the better, but heroic if fine as long as we have fun. I was trying to go for more of a AoE offender as my Duo partner is a Fire Ball junkie (aren't we all ) so thought Ball Lightning would go well in a combo with that, Tar Patch and RoF, but at the end of the day its my job to keep her standing...hence the mainly late slotting of my attacks.
Basicly...long and short of it, does it look like it would work and if not what can be done to improve things (prehaps a different Blast Set?).
Thanks you for your time.
