  1. /Rad is more user-friendly in zones than /Cold because of the self-heal, not to mention that it matures early.

Edit: /Cold has Snow Storm which can also aggro NPCs.
  2. It follows you around (rather tacky) and it only fires one attack, Charged Bolts (does it at Corruptor scale, with Scourge). The recharge timer on the attack is 2.5s, and is not affected by Hasten or SB, but it benefits from any RchgRedux enhancements that you slot into it!

I've found that it attacks once it's withing 45" of an enemy that is closest to it.

    Sparky

Got my epic villain, a Mind/Elec Dominator to 38. I had high hopes for the Dominator version of Voltaic Sentinel, because of Domination, it being Corruptor version and of course, it being red. Red lightning. Epic red lightning.

But no - what I got was a fuzzball that doesn't benefit from Domination as it's somehow classified as a real pet and not a "pet" like Lightning Storm, so you guys can forget any epic Sparky damage even with Domination popped beforehand.

Second, it doesn't shoot faster with Hasten popped beforehand, just like it doesn't benefit from damage buffs.

    Third, well.EPIC RED LIGHTNING!

Edit: also you can only have one of them out at a time.

    Dear Devs,

The NCsoft team (Norcal) is growing, isn't it? Perhaps if we're patient enough they will eventually have a big enough team to allot the PvP side of the game to some of them, so that it can be taking care of - both with and seperately from PvE.

    A curiosity

I think it would look something like this.

They're both a good primary and secondary, just remember to take the key powers and you're good to go. With SoC bunching the mobs up you can follow up with the ISC and the Breath for some nice AoE.
  6. Depends on the power, and how Domination is coded to affect it.

One power that comes to my mind would be Arctic Air, which is autohit and benefits from Domination, giving another chance to give a longer confuse on top of the normal chance.

Then there's Impale, with its immobilize effect, which currently does not benefit from Domination. And it has a ToHit check
  7. Show us your build and we will find room for at least TT: Maneuvers

    Take it, it's crazy good.

    Remember that's 10% Base.

    [/ QUOTE ]

It's actually approximately a boost of 11.1% to base (1/9) which is very nice, as it would translate as like having 22% +dmg from set bonuses (with just standard slotting and no other buffs like Assault or BU)

So if you Stalkers want to 'test' the new damage effects now on Live, eat a red. The boost will be about that in effect outside of BU and other +dmg buffs.

The new critical rate for Stalkers (10%+3x%Teammate) only happens in the radius of 30", and that's just 5" longer radius than Dispersion Bubble (and those who have played FF know how hard it is to keep all teammates inside it)

I wonder if MM henchmen affect the % like it does affect Domination gain as per team member?
  9. Not to mention Doms' BU would give just a 68% damage boost as opposed to 100% of Blasters and Scrappers.
  10. Best defense against Stalkers (and majority of villains) is moving - at all times. cant bet teh WASD
  11. Or it could be 135% +rchg if the natural 100% counts to the 400% rechg cap (like in damage enhancing)

135% is possible with heavy investment in purple sets.
  12. [ QUOTE ]
Plus, Drain Psyche is just full of win with its -500% Recovery & -500% Regen which lasts 30 seconds. Can easily be made perma.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    [censored] son!

You'd only need 235% +rchg from set bonuses if you had Hasten and had slotted DP to have 95% recharge to make it perma!

In other words you'd need to be at the +recharge cap to achieve this, which isn't possible unless you're packing multiple kins in your back pocket.

-edit- Drain Psyche is pure win still though.

    Snip
Also Psy Doms suck in PvP, if anything I'd switch it to /Thorns. Aim ftw.

    Snip Snip

    [/ QUOTE ]

Depends on type of Pvp and who you fighting. You noticed that people are starting to pick up on psy (I have noticed a lot more about). I am sure my Psi dom would take down a thorn dom. It might lack the damage and aim but the -recharge really does hurt your opponent.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Villains packing Thermal shields also don't have res to psy, so Corrs with -res powers combined with "unresistable" psionic damage is definitely better in a team vs. team standpoint.

Not to mention that Thorns has long long long animations!
  14. It was by the AoE attacks and PbAoE moves such as Power Sink or Consume that gave instantly 80 Fury.

Still wasn't as OMFGBBQ as this Blaster one.

Castle said he knew of the bug and how to fix it. Lets hope its not "Soon"

    [/ QUOTE ]

This has been on for a while so the fix date will be declared to Soon™.

Last time I checked SC on my Corruptor it was 3 Blasters & 1 Emp against 6 assorted villains and me as a Thermal. Electric Brutes getting 3-shot even with Thermal Shields is just so sad.
Oh and 2-shotting me without BU + Aim, lol.

I wonder how long the Brute Fury bug lasted...
  16. This will probably be fixed by tomorrow's patch.

    Oh, it's a Hero AT?

Then it's going to take 5 months minimum.

  18. FYI, damage cap for Doms is 400%, so you will need 300% worth of +dmg buffs (100% is your base damage).
Enhancers giving 95% prior to ED plus Domination(75%) plus FE(85%) will bring you as far as 355%.

That's only 45% away from the cap, achievable with by popping 2 small reds or getting a Forge from a Corruptor (Forge is 40% damage boost so you will still lack 5% from the cap)

    Why?
    Blasters are fine and balanced.

    /Thermal

Rad/Thermal has proved to be good enough for me in zones so far -- the build is very tight so the do-it-all Cosmic Burst is handy, yeah.

For high-end though I'd suggest Ice because other villains generally have weak resistance to it, and the opponents' Thermals' shields offer less Cold protection than say, Fire, which is resisted lots.
  22. Incinerate is nice damage, about 10% better than the other level 2 Dominator melee attacks, balanced around its DoT. You will want to use it against EBs and such when your attack chain looks like Blaze - Fire Blast - Fire Blast - Blaze - Fire Blast, etc. Incinerate makes a great addition to your damage.
