Ice/Rad any good for pvp ?
Its good, not maybe the best, but its a strong set for 1 on 1, can be used in teams aswell for target caller/debuffer. I wouldnt bring a rad tho into the zone pvp for going solo considering that everyone will use your rad debuffs to get agro on you from NPC´s, rather a ice/therm or Cold .
All in all, its a nice toon, not the best, FAR from the worst.
Thanks for the feedback falcon, im currently lvl 25 now so im gonna see how its goes, but good point about the aggro from npc's.
/Rad is more user-friendly in zones than /Cold because of the self-heal, not to mention that it matures early.
Edit: /Cold has Snow Storm which can also aggro NPCs.
/Cold does agro npc's but it would also make it alot harder to get to any... lack of heal would have to be made up with Aid self or insps... although i have seen a few very capable Ice/rad in Sirens, and I dont think many people would try to get you npc agro if it was friendly pvp.(if there is such a thing)
but be careful as the debuff from /rad won't stop a blaster with the likes off Powerboost, aim, buildup... so be ready with that heal.
Carlsberg don't do Farming,
But if they did..........
Cold wont agro as many NPC´s as Rad since you hit -slow cap very fast with Cold, your enemy wont be able to run into any NPC´s, rad only has 1 slow.
And i have pvp´d VERY much with Rad debuffs in zones, almost every single time when i start my debuff chain on a scrapper, tank or brute, they instant run for the WB npc´s. And You cant do much really, Cold locks your enemy down way better IMO, i would deffo go for Cold in zones over Rad. Rad is awesome for 1 on 1 in arena or target caller for team pvp.
Yes rad has a self heal, but on a solo cold you probs want either aid self or use phase and go for lots off regen in your build.

Don't get me wrong, I love my namesake Fire/Cold, but I think /Rad is more get-go as far as PvP secondaries go. Corruptor Rad isn't as powerful as its Defender counterpart, but a self heal is huge in zones. It coming from your secondary gives you the benefit of not having to dip into Medicine so you can go Leadership instead. Lack of +perception is a major issue villainside, especially in zones.
Regarding /Cold lock down, you really need a web grenade for that. Super Jump trumps slows in general.
The only thing that usually has slowed me down while SJing has been Siphon Speed, and that's unresistable for all ATs that wield the set.
Good thing that there is the Mace PPP though, Mace makes /Cold awesome at locking down.
I'd pick Rad if my primary intent would be SC. -Res so early is handy, but higher than that? Cold.
Was thinking if this is viable toon for pvp, zonal pvp and the occasional 1 on 1 ?
