I showed 0 also, and then bought some to see if it would work. It did (at least as far as the Master Account page shows), so it will be interesting to see what happens. Hope my vet amount doesn't replace the ones I bought.

Great info to know, thanks for posting it. Just wanted to be clear for anyone thinking they'll see the actual I21 patch notes (which I expect to be fairly massive).
-
Those aren't patch notes, that's a list of known issues...

I have done this as well, many times and recently. As far as my experience goes, a dropped O-portal is an O-portal, regardless of the portal's owner.
-
The way I read his question isn't because of the stacking, but because the veteran program will now be defunct. But like I said, if you've earned it you should still have it come I21, either by it not being touched, or by it being auto-selected for you due to being previously earned.
-
I don't know that it's been specifically addressed, but I wouldn't expect them to disappear, since they've already been "earned".

Congrats, Snow!
Now if only I could get the same kind of thing going on Victory... -
Quote:That is correct (although I don't know what effect it would have for someone in the OP's situation -- hopefully only good).Disclaimer: The following is hearsay, and not directly experienced by me.
If you can hold off until Tuesday, I believe Mender Ramiel's arc is changing such that side-switching will no longer disrupt running his arc. (It might just take that long to get back to hero anyway depending on where you are now.) -
Quote:As far as I know that is generally sold off-market because of its relatively high perceived value.Right, I'm speaking more in terms of monetary value, ie: Would it be worth more on the market at a lower level.
edit: To clarify, once again, that I don't plan to sell it. I just figured if it was worth more at a lower level in terms of inf. that I might as well get it at said level, just because.
Whether someone will pay more for the level 10 version I don't know -- maybe. It can't really be worth LESS than the highest level version, all things considered, I suppose. -
Quote:The ONLY difference its level provides is the point at which the IO can be slotted.I've been saving Villain merits for quite a while for the Gladiator's Armor 3% Defense/TP Protection IO and I'll be getting the last one tomorrow. Now, I don't plan to sell it- I've spent so long saving for it to be used in a build. I am still wondering though if it is more valuable at levels lower than 50, just to get the most bang for my merits.

Well, if you either do a search here for them, or at least list them, we can try to answer them...
-
Getting into First Ward can be done through the portals in Talos and (IIRC) Cap. That puts you in a room in the Underground in Praetoria, where there's a portal directly to FW.

Quote:Except newer players won't as easily be aware of that fact. I think it was a great addition, except that they added access to the trainers as well (not that I'm complaining about easier access to the tailor interface -- just seems like a weird decision).Which didn't need one, since we've been able to get into RWZ at any level.
-
My guess is that it was done to try and show off one of the strengths of this game, the costume customization capability, giving easier access for that to newer players (who may not realize there are separate tailors).
ZM's idea is great -- wonder if that occurred to the devs (bizarre if it didn't, considering all the other purchaseable/earnable stuff added with Freedom). -
Quote:Agreed. That makes it even more incumbent on us VIPs to help them out, answer questions and do what we can to show them how great our game is.Ah. My mistake. I apologize. I would contend, however, that I expect most folks that are new to the game will enter it using the free method.

Quote:Nice, DG, thanks. I tried searching the forums, but didn't see that thread listed (it was probably in the search results but I didn't check it closely enough).
-
Actually, you apparently didn't read my post closely -- I used the word "subscribers" purposely. Free players only receive a taste of the game (and of course can purchase more ala carte if they wish), but subscribers are, and WILL REMAIN the primary focus of this game's management team.

Quote:I have to think that everyone is unique, and some would react one way, and others a different way. So really, it's something we just can't know.Well...I can't deny the wisdom of your point. I would have to agree that is likely. But would a new player look at it that way, or would they simply power through the lousy combo like they do in most games?
Speculation, sure, but my guess would be most players do not like to delete and reroll and are resistant to the idea...which could weight against the game, fair or not.
Consider the first ten levels to be the "transition" period between other games and this one. There is no doubt that this game presents a very unique system.
But I will point out that this game offers its subscribers a plethora of character slots over quite a few servers. That suggests an environment that is particularly alt-friendly (in fact, actually encourages the creation of many toons). Hopefully newer players will either realize this, or have it pointed out to them if need be. All we can do is try. -
Quote:Maybe because it hasn't been released yet? Even though I21 is scheduled to drop this coming Tuesday, nothing is set in stone and is subject to change.I just really don't get how this stuff hasn't been transcribed onto the interwebs.
Right now, you can either log into either the Beta or Test server and look at the numbers there yourself, ro you can wait 3 days until Tuesday. -
I think if you spend any time here in this community, you'll find that more the opposite tends to be true -- I've rarely seen anyone (in-game or on the forums) wail and gnash their teeth about re-rolling. Some keep the previous toon, others delete, but leveling is SO easy and fast in this game that there's really no point in decrying "having" to try out a new powerset and/or AT combo.
