alignment change and incarnate arc problem

I have a nice lvl 50 scrapper. He started out a hero long before GR and when GR did come out I got him to lvl 50 and then made him a Vigilante. So I had a little look at the incarnate contact in Ouroboro (Mender Ramier or similar) and then bailed because I thought it too hard and that I should get my friends' help.

Then I became a Villain (hmm... did I go through rogue? I cannot remember). Now when I went to do the mission for Mender with my VG friends I entered the mission late and got no reward as I have been in there less than 30 seconds. Basicialy I got no credit for the mission. Now, when I talk to the contact he only lists a bunch of things about the arc but wont let me take up the arc again.

I need to know what I have to do to get that arc started at least. Do I need to be a hero? or, a vigilante? rogue?

ty

edit: contacting help and support tells me that I still have the arc somewhere on the other side or such. What do I need to do to finish my acr from what I think was Vigilante

You have to go back to being a hero to complete the arc, though you can drop down to vigilante again since it is classified as a hero. Then you can go back to villain if you want.

(No, you didn't go through rogue in your fall from grace. It goes Hero <-> Vigilante -> Villain <-> Rogue -> Hero)

You need to switch back to Hero (or maybe even Vig, but I think just hero), as you get any content from one side hidden when you switch to another... so open story arcs like that mess with stuff.

Just an fyi, but the alignment cycle is Hero -> Vig -> Villain -> Rogue -> Hero

It doesn't matter that I dropped it as a Villain while testing what was wrong? All I did was choose "abandon mission".

still, thankyou for a good reply.

Even if you didn't accept a mission at all, it still puts it in your story list. I don't know why. It's a terrible way to do contacts.

Disclaimer: The following is hearsay, and not directly experienced by me.

If you can hold off until Tuesday, I believe Mender Ramiel's arc is changing such that side-switching will no longer disrupt running his arc. (It might just take that long to get back to hero anyway depending on where you are now.)

Champion 50s (blueside): Marc Bridge, Nicole Bridge, Fred Blaze, Colleen Storms, Sun's Chariot, Moon's Huntress, Point of Pride
Guardian 50s (redside): Connie Mand
AE arc: Spirit Plane Invasion, #29282, @Honbrid

That is correct (although I don't know what effect it would have for someone in the OP's situation -- hopefully only good).
