  1. 1. Fury increases when you are attacked, or attack something. It has nothing to do with damage.

    2. Some people need both powers, and others don't, so it's hard to tell. The recovery cap is pretty high - you shouldn't have to worry about getting there without outside help. If you're doing fine with both powers, great. Also, if you ever needed more endurance, you can put the performance shifter chance for +10 endurance proc in each power.
  2. Rage -> Build up would probably make it "acceptable" for scrappers, but... yeah...

You may already have an incredible caffeine tolerance built up... I'm not sure if coffee is going to do much for you.
  4. I've never heard of a goal for that either. Don't forget that extra hp with regen works well too. Grabbing the +hp accolades is a good start. I have an SR brute with about 25% extra hp overall, and some small regen bonuses. Checking the number in game, it turns out I have just over 20 hp/sec, and that's enough to solo a few AVs (the ones without any wierd tricks).
  5. I know that this has come up before, albeit much earlier. There might have been another set found along with it.

    Fast Healing, not Instant Healing
  7. I haven't personally played it, but check out this thread (also on the first page): http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=221314
  8. Got more time to mess around with costumes... I had pompeii in mind, making this one:
  9. The bioluminescent parts look like they'd be good for a lava-themed costume.

Edit: Unless I just missed it, I'm kind of surprised they didn't throw in any claw pieces.

A version that targets just you or just one ally would be new, although in beta, Indomitable Will for Widows was bugged to give a small heal on every server tick, thus making Widows leave a plume of green numbers wherever they went (and making them pretty much invincible to boot).
Yeah, I was thinking more of indomitable will with that one.

How about a self or ally targeted heal-toggle?

A single target teleport-to-your-enemy type of attack. Ranged melee attack.

On the topic of teleporting, a power that switches locations of the target and player.

Like SR's scaling resists, a power with some other scaling attribute, like regeneration.

A big what-if for me is a partial positional, partial typed defense set. Something like smashing, lethal, energy, and ranged defense. What would that be like?

Other powers with the toggle behavior of phase shift, where there's a maximum duration and something that happens when the power ends.

A -special taunt aura (it would sort of act like mez resistance)
  12. From city of data:

    * Stun +98.34% for 15s
Effect does not stack from same caster

    * Sleep, Confused, Terrorized, Immobilize, Held +98.34% for 15s

    * RunSpeed, FlySpeed, Heal, ToHit, Endurance +98.34% for 15s

    * DEF(All Types, Defense, Melee, Ranged, AOE) +98.34% for 15s

For the mez effects, it actually increases the durations (not magnitude) if I remember correctly. Also, defense is only enhanced if there isn't enhanceable resistance from the same power that the defense comes from (like /cold shields for example).
  13. I see that sort of technology as having potential for indoor missions, like the office/cave maps.

    Energy Aura?

While it's not a toggle, energy drain provides a taunt for brutes.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure crits are handled in the attack in question, where it just does more damage if a certain condition is met. I assume that's the same reason why we'll haven't seen a +fire damage proc effect in fiery embrace.
  16. Probably something less common like Evil Scientist.

    Edit: Or Pohsby! Yeah!

Yeah, I got the impression that the glove color change was when protean took his place.
  18. I think that was sort of the goal, to make it more useful with primary sets (like the other secondaries?). The suggested changes are simple enough and wouldn't nullify any existing playing styles, to my knowledge.

Well, except for taser shockwave. I would probably just make taser a small cone with a target cap of 4 or so.
  19. I went with spines/elec, and I definitely appreciate power sink - no worrying about endurance.
  20. Honestly, I put powers like hasten, PB, and rage at the end of the first power tray, and use them whenever they're available (just as if they were attacks) for the most part. That way you can avoid situations where having something on auto prevents you from using another power at a crucial moment. That said, practiced brawler would be my top pick for putting on auto.

    Iv noticed.....

Spines/Elec is pretty fun, but I haven't seen many on Justice. Then again, I haven't seen a lot of Spines/Dark or Spines/Fire scrappers either.

The slotting you show definitely wouldn't soft-cap a SD build.

Also, I just don't see the point in using a common IO instead of the 3rd or 4th enhancement in a set. For sets like Serendipity and LotG that have desirable bonuses, why not just slot another of the set to get the bonus?

In addition, I don't know why you'd frankenslot attacks and leave them underslotted in damage, which is true of all your attacks except Fire Sword Circle.

My post was about frankenslotting attacks. Sorry if I didn't make it clear enough.

As for the build itself? It's actually pretty old, from when that character had little inf to work with. I sacrificed that 20% or so damage for more recharge because damage was easier to come by, being a brute and all. It's easy to change to full damage slotting by changing, say, an acc/rech to an acc/dam.

Edit: also, because acc/rech taunt IOs are ridiculously cheap redside.
  23. 45% defense is like 90% resistance, but more exciting.
  24. Ice is nice but it just wasn't doing much for me, so I rolled a traps/energy. It's interesting.
  25. You can get good slotting for relatively cheap (~4mil per power if I remember correctly). Here's an example for attacks:

For electric's AOEs, check out endmod, stun, taunt, and knockback sets. Using thunderstrike as an example, you could use a Rope A Dope Accuracy/Recharge instead of once from Scirocco's Dervish since it's probably way cheaper.
