  1. Ahh the good old Raised Inflection. I remember a teacher of mine in Sydney who left after a few weeks because all of the students (it was an adult college too) would laugh at her for her stupid voice. I got used to the kids doing it, but a full grown woman should have known better!

I remember my first toon was called Mr Toxedo, I got laughed at in Atlas "lol dude u cant spell!!11". I then popped his Spines out from his Tuxedo, and they went "ooooohhhh" *cue facepalm*

And I love fridays on this forum
  2. Get the +stealth IO anyways and put it in sprint, but only really if you want to head into a pvp zone.

Knives of Artemis thankfully only pop up rarely, usually in Malta mishs, so they aint a pain that often. Ruluruu are a big pain too, as the eyes will see you no matter what level of stealth you have.

The most annoying I find are the drones, annoyingly hard to hit and they see you coming.
  3. Time for an update methinks (well I've gotta kill 30 mins somehow)

Our ITF 5th diff race had the winning team putting in a time of 1.45, and was very far from optimal, but managed it in fine form!

Currently have 4 regular teaming nights going, an all fire/rad corr team, an all blaster/troller team, and regular hero and villains superteams.

We are having a lvl 7 pvp tournament soon too. The voting is going on for our very own creativity competition and many other events being planned too! A fortnight of TFs is planned in september, and at least 1 TF can be found running every day.

Our forum is always busy, and spiffing new website will be up soon too! Also, many of us are now on each others Facebook, and have taken to playing the games on there too and killing each other there

For anyone looking for an invite to this SG, please sign up on our forums, or send a tell to me ingame @Mime Artiste, or @Von or @Enkil or just ask any Dirty Handprint you may happen to see, we are the ones in the green and gold!
  4. My WP/Mace was built more on a concept than anything else (A Hill Billy wielding a 'Tech' mace, what else do you do with a big lump of shiney metal?) But I found the set worked nicely. Mace may not be as damaging as Axe, but its more so than Ice, and has some great controlls. I think it's a good alrounder really. Not that special, but not as bad as people think.

Would be nice if it got more buffs though
  5. Ooo I like Alphanes thinking. Hmmm lets see if we can get it down to just 7 powers for survival on a Desert Island...

    1. Psi Lance - No need for arrows, setting stuff on fire or sending it flying, just a simple thought missile to knock stuff out of trees!
    2. Flares - To let others know where you are, also usefull for starting up a fire.
    3. PFF - for when the rain starts to fall, or you fancy doing some diving
    4. Ice Bolt - Easy way to get nice cool drinks
    5. Hover - Then you can get all the good fruit from the trees
    6. Instant Healing - Might get infections otherwise!
    7. Chop - For getting through the undergrowth, and coconuts
  6. Well it's a busy time for us at the moment!

Tonight we have a Hide and Seek night! Lots of TF/SFs planned. Monday is our regular VEAT team night, Tues is our regular fire/rad corr and also all blaster/troller team night. There will soon be an ITF Race done on 5th diff. We also have a Creativity competition running too!

Lots going on, and our own forum www.thehandprints.co.uk is busier than ever!

    E.V.I.L. Returns

Happy Birthday Max!!! Here's to hoping you drop a LotG +rch!

A record of 14mins 10 seconds for the 3rd vill respec? Yowzerz, that blows mine out the water at only 22 mins!

See you in game, my Domi is looking forward to another tussel with you, especially now he is even more 'improved'

    Purple Drops...

I was playing my lvl 46 Fire/Rad Corr last night in my usualy /rad teamw. Doing the Black Scorpion arc on 4th diff, and after killing a LB, much to my stunned amazement and joy, I drop a Purple Recipe (and one I need on my domi too ).

But how is that that a lvl 46 fighting lvl 47/48s, on a team where no one was above 46, managed to get a purple? Am I just very very lucky? Is it a glitch? Or do you start dropping them before you start fighting 50 mobs?

My understanding is that only lvl 50+ mobs had a chance of dropping them. Anyone able to explain, or should I just be very happy I got one?
  10. Waterballon - Ranged attack causing minor cold damage, makes enemies less resistant to electric attacks, and more resistant to Fire attacks

Custard Pie - Low to-hit. Will cause minor hold on foe as they lick off the cream from their faces.

Hand Buzzer - You extend your hand to your enemies in friendship, only to give them a sharp shock as they grip your hand. Especially good after the Waterballon power

Large Wooden Plank - Possibility of knocking over everyone around you, even team mates, unless they are much shorter than you.

ACME Needle - Causes foe fear when brought out, an emote of "This will only hurt a little" is also played.

Banana Skin - Causes foe knockdown and minor smashing damage

    I love CoX!

    [ QUOTE ]
Does it get any stranger when I say that my wife started off by playing with my CoX, until eventually she decided that it was so much fun that she wanted to get CoX herself. Now I have two lots of CoX, and my wife has one, and we're both very happy, never more so than when we sit down together of an evening and play with our CoX together?

^ This is Full of Win
  12. There are lots of tactics for this. Paragon wiki outlines several of them that work nicely. The 'pull method' is tough, and you will usually get at least 2, and if unlucky, the whole lot bearing down on you.

My personal fave is the 'rush' method. Get a few people with the buff and debuff nukes, cast veng on a dead teammate who takes one for the team (its stackable too if you get it right), buff shivs and team, pop insps (if needed, once with 4 stacked veng, we didn see the point) charge in to the Heros focusing on Numina first, drop debuff nukes, by the time Numina is down, most of the rest will be down too, and just clear up whats left. With enough nukes and shivs, taking out all 8 takes about 30 seconds or so and will make you giggle, quite a lot.

But no nukes or shivs, THAT is a lot tougher. Get in on a MoLRSF run and see how they do it.

    pets question

I'm gonna get the Arachnobot Blaster just to complete my spider army of DOOM!!!!
  14. Try a Plant /emp/thermal

Spirit Tree goes nicely with it, and Vines are fun too, plus extra -def.

Or go Grav, who doesn't love Dimension Shift?
  15. I'de love to see a proper Luddite arc as they are so much tied into the history of Cap, maybe at the end you should get to fight Deathsurge.

The Knives don't need much in the way of development, they are part of the Malta group, and they have plenty. Wailers have lots as well.

I'de love to see more Skulls and Hellions in the rogue Isles too. That and BP, some cool mobs, but not much made of them.

There are a few mob types I'm quite glad are not in the game much; Shivans, storm elementals, Knives etc, mostly cos they are just naaaaaasty.
  16. I'm veggie, BBQ sauce doesn't do it for me. Cheese dip or sweet chilli for me please.

    *passes Shadowe the nachos*
  17. But what if I don't like BBQ sauce?
  18. Can we throw Nachos instead?
  19. *throws popcorn back at FFM, and then worries that he might be considered an 'aggressive' player *
  20. *waves at Thorny to pass the popcorn and wonders if the forums are going to survive the Redname holiday to norcal...*
  21. Well I have a lvl 50 WP tank who uses taunt as part of his attack chain (psi proc ftw!) but then RttC is a weak aggro aura and he isnt made to be a scranker, so taunt on him is essential. On my new Ice tank, i'm not planning on taking taunt till late. Why? Because chilling embrace and icicles are just awesome at grabbing aggro. I've been on teams with high level ice tanks who run around grabbing aggro like loonies, and I feel safe on a squishy. I've seen tanks with taunt miss some in the cone, and then the squishies get splatted. A well played ice tank can easily do without taunt, but I will be taking it for use against AVs etc. As for other tanks, I'le leave it to the player. But a well played tank, regardless of them having taunt or not, will be able to do there job. A poorly played tank, even with taunt, is what I look out for, such as on that took stealth so that the mobs didnt notice him....

    I feel Guilty.

    Best arc in vills!!!

*goes off to AS a beggar*
  23. Ask them when the Villains will get TF to fill in gaps (30-35 and 40+) And yes I know it's development, but still.

More interaction would be great too.
  24. I had a fantasic moment on my domi last night while on LRSF. We all charged the Vindicators, and I hit Glacier, only to see all of them get incased in ice! It may have only been a few seconds, but to entrap all of them in one go and give the rest of the team a chance to pile in, that was just awesome!

    I love my Domi

    Artic Air ???

It depends on how end heavy your toons is on who you need to slot it. I have a full purple confuse set in it and a damage proc at the moment, but this is being taken out and replaced with the 4 damage procs that can go in it, and 2 end/confuse IOs. For leveling up, I'de say best not to run it much untill 22, or even, pick it up late. It's a great power, but the end usage is nuts.

If you are an ice/psi, you can get away with less end rdx, but otherwise, at least 2, if not 3 end rdx are needed. The confuse and fear aspects take a second or two to kick in, and even then its only a chance to confuse.

I have the contagious confusion proc in it, and its hard to see what it does. My combat log tells me if something is infectious, but every so often, an infected mob will confuse Jack, who will then attack me (bug?) But it does seem to turn a chance for confuse into something more reliable, and creates more of a chain reaction. But that said, I'de rather have the 4 damage procs.
