Just wanted to share this post of BAB with you because it made me nearly pass out from laughing.

If it has
eyes, you can blind it, if it has blood, you can make it bleed, if it has a mouth, you can make it scream.

hehe..

worst slip I ever had was running a PnP game for a group that included a few females (one of whom was very very cute indeed) , (un?)fortunately she liked wearing low fronted tops. for the whole session the dungeon was lit by flaming brassiers....

though I still get a kick out of the land of evil make-up known as the rouge isles...

If your mouse has greater processing power than your gfx card, the answer is yes.

Incidentally, wouldn't another of the Spelling Fascist's nemeses be a panda with an assault rifle, Super Speed and a large pack of sandwiches?

It's just simple proofreading typos in things with some degree of production value like webcomics that annoy me.

'Allright' does my head in, Greg Dean of Real Life does that so much I'm starting to think for some reason no-one on his large forums has actually told him. Scott Kurtz just loves the 'they're' to 'their' switcheroo. It's almost like no-one told him either.

I’m still trying to get my head around MMO, as in, “I love this MMO.” I thought this came from MMORPG (massively multiplayer online roleplaying game), which means, ‘I love this MMO’ gives us ‘I love this massively multiplayer online.’

Has the need to shorten everything in modern languages really got to the point where we don’t even bother with a letter g?

Sorry, I just got back from pendant school. I’ll get my cape of perfection that I’ve just ironied.

Ah, thats because MMOG is an ETLA while MMO is a TLA.... and TLAs are cooler

talking to a friend once who was describing a computer problem and he comes out with the phrase "and the drive was just filled with a huge 100.2 gig T X T file" ... seriously, why say the letters TXT.... it stands for TEXT.. dropping a vowel and adding two syllables does NOT make it shorter!

This made me remember an old tank from GSG101 called Thubderbolt.

Although unless the problem involved downloading the complete Library of Congress and stuffing it all into the one file, the odds are good that the humongous .txt file didn't actually contain that much comprehensible text.

While we're all aboard the pedantry train, other things that annoy me in this vein are (in no particular order):

People who don't have capital letters for their character names (I appreciate at times that there may be a concept reason, but only rarely).

People who type/say "should of" or "could of" etc.

People who you've never talked to before who call you mate immeadiatly.

I would go on but I'm making myself annoyed at work (I really do hate people though).

Never try and invent anything evil when you have a cold. People just don't take it seriously.

"Depth ray? What's a depth ray?"

"No idea. Something that makes really big holes under you?"
