I thought I saw a post some where that stated the new halo auras were tint able, is this true?

I just wanted to give my two cents feedback on the halloween event. the only thing that really bugs me affects every special event we have where there is a zone announcment. there is no distinction between different instances of a zone when they get over crowded.

Case in point, I see the announcement that zombies are attacking Paragon Island. well that's fine but I was in PI but nothing was happening. I went to my base and started zoning in and out of my base till I found the right instance of PI that was being attacked.

In the end it was PI3 that was being attacked but there were 6 versions of PI that were populated. also I was very lucky to get into PI3 when I did because each time I zoned back to my base to check the next ver the previous versions were full.

my suggestion is to either add the event to ALL versions of a zone that has multiples or state in the zone event channel what zone has the activity.

I have noticed this issue with several events past, please take a look and see what can be done about this annoying anti-player friendly issue.

Just a guess but I think the reason they have it is to give them a chance at actually fighting the hoards of players and all their AoE effects, otherwise they would constantly be on thier backs and unable to fill their role as something that needs fighting

for those who have created tons of story work in anticipation of making their own arcs, I hope you had fun doing that but in no way are you "let down" by expectations that are too high or too low. we haven't been given the full details of issue 13 yet so anything is pure conjecture baring its live debut.

I think one of the reasons they are being so tight lipped over the architecture aspect is that they are probably working on some new features that they normally don't have and are working to perfect before announcing it. the system they use to make missions will likely be EXACTLY like the system we will get our hands on with perhaps a different user interface.

I never said that. I said I believe (and still believe) that the majority of reasonable players don't begrudge NC for creating exclusive marketing giveaways.

There are lots of decisions that either the dev team or NCsoft in general make that I either disagree with, or which go against my personal preferences (which are two different things). But thats not the same thing as saying I believe they are idiotic, incompetent, ignorant, unresponsive, or poor decision-makers every time they make a decision I disagree with.

I'm disappointed I missed the last double XP weekend. I do not believe NCsoft had an obligation to check with my schedule first. I can be disappointed in something without thinking that that fact alone makes the source of my disappointment deficient.

I also stand by my assertion that it is unreasonable to presume that being disappointed in a circumstance carries with it the presumption that someone made an error to create that circumstance. If I end up not getting the costume option, I'll be disappointed. It won't change my mind that NCsoft is being completely reasonable in its approach to marketing exclusives. I'm saying that with the full knowledge that there is very little probability of NCsoft being at a public venue anywhere within two thousand miles of me.

Amen, THATS all I was asking for. I wasn't being pissy at who is given special treatment cause they can go to these events, I was simply asking for the access for the rest of us. I am one of the proud purchasers of the wedding pack. proud because I helped the VEATs get released an issue early. Proud because I helped the game and all I want is to help it some more by being able to purchase these costumes they are just giving away to those who happen to be near their public showings or stupid with their money.

ok not to sound like an [censored] but this exclusive stuff is getting to be a bit ridiculous. first I love the CoX game and have been a log time player. I understand that giving something away special to people to attend these events but are you planning on releasing these to the rest of the community after x amount of time has passed, like as a costume pack kind of like the wedding pack?

I just started listening to www.wor-radio.com (world of roll players) so far it seems good but havent heard any spoofs or skits or funny songs like the good old days of W00T but we will see

ok so I know W00T still exists but not as it used to be. frankly I don't care for their W00T studios stuff. there are better resources for that stuff else where in my opinion. when W00T Radio was on the air I hardly listened to anything else. the variety of music was good, the spoof commercials and skits rocked and I got to hear stuff I normally don't hear any where else.

I am not faulting them for closing their radio doors they had legitimate reasons, but can any one point me to a comparable internet radio station? hopefully one that focuses on Freedom server where I was born and raised?

yeah I saw another thread that posted a bunch but they didn't have one for freedom and a few I tried were busted links or the media player link didn't work. am I the only one having W00T withdrawals?

just wondering, given that Freedom has had a track record of always being the most populated in general but especially during events, was there ever any thought into getting a higher capacity server for freedom than the other server upgrades?

any chance we will get a bigger server than the upgrade now that you have seen its particular popularity?

I think I have the perfect solution for the current email issue.

give the email system a brand new shiney button that toggles between letting any one email you and letting ONLY global friends to email you.

when the global friends option is toggled on, the email that is sent by any one else is sent back to thier mail box with a message that says something like "The player you have attempted to email is only accepting emails from friends."

this will do two things:

! it will flood THIER inboxes of thier characters and make THEM get irritated with spam and also giving them a clear and concise message that WE DONT WANT YOUR SURVICES. hopefully this will discourage thier desire to hastle us with undesired advertising.

2. we wont have to put up with them any more and customer service can get a ticket every time an email is returned to sender making it easier for thier accounts to be banned faster and faster.

I found an issue with the new enforcer set, well sort of. I remade a character who origionaly had the entire vanguard costume set along with tech wings. changing him I used the Enforcer hat, detail 2, shoulder, gloves, boots, chest and legs. I kept the hat detail 1, chest detail and belt as vaguard and used the dagger pattern for the chest and legs.

the problem is that in this combination the vanguard 2 chest detail, the middle piece and not the bottom piece dissapeared. this left the bottom of the chest piece still showing as well as the top. ordinaraly I would consider this a ugly bug but it actualy looks good since the bottom of the vanguard chest piece looks like it is attached to the vanguard belt. I dont have screenies atm but will try and update it later.

I just want the badge heh. no worries though. they pretty much HAVE to fix the IOP and put it in the game or risk being sued by thousands of players as the IOP is a feature printed on the box of GvE so it would be false advertising to drop it all together. technically they are in danger of being sued over it now.

they have however stated through issue 11 convos that the list of things they ARE working on includes IOP as well as the vill khelds and vill EATS. I think there was something else but cant remember.

you are seriously mistaken, SS is one of the most used travel powers in the game. I don't know where you got your info from but you might want to check it again.

so question, if any one might know, since the dual blades are offensive and the will power is defensive does that mean i can make a dual blades / will power scrapper? I mean the secondary set is typically the defensive part of a melee char build while the primary is the offensive right?

at least this will give me reason to actually use my samurai armor vet costumes

I thought that IoPs were temporary and would dissipate after a certain amount of time?

as jay mentioned, the NPC costumes were never designed to work on players. player parts have different considerations since each part moves independently of each other while NPCs costumes are animated together as a whole.

swift and hurdle are supplemental, they are not travel powers.

if you are not using a travel power such as super speed, super jump , fly or teleport self then don't be too surprised that teams will leave you behind on a regular basis.

don't get upset because the developers aren't pandering to your unconventional style of play.

I think we should have some polls so that the devs can see what questions we are interested in hearing the most. the devs would not have to be involved in any way but it would be a hard numbers thing to help the devs who look at the "City Scoop" Ideas on what we want to hear about in the ask a dev sections and any interviews they have on w00tradio.com and such.


Also I was thinking of a funny "whats this scene?" or "whats he saying?" section where people make up funny (but tasteful) subtitles to submitted screenshots.
