Quote:Actually it was not in Battle for the Palace that he died. This battle was a part of the Siege of Terra. At some point late in the Siege he teleported above Earth to Horus' battle barge (the Vengeful Spirit) and died fighting Horus. One of them is Sanguinius (the guy with the big sword), primarch of the Blood Angels. It was in that battle, iirc, that he was struck down. I'm guessing the others are his personal guard.
So... I guess it depends on your definition of battle. It wasn't were the fighting on that diorama happened... but it was during the Siege of Terra.
As an aside, the Emperor got to the fight a bit late, he then fought and killed Horus. During the fight the Emperor recieved a mortal wound and is now (10,000 years later) held in stasis in the Golden Throne.
You can read about the siege of Terra here. -
In regard to your day 1 event:
The people dying in the warehouse is quite some time ago. Not a recent event.
Also I think taging this with * Spoilers * is customary. -
This happened to me too. I had to use Teleport to travel back up the hole to the point I got the server select window.
There are more than one Dark Astoria's. I believe that is the issue. I have to wonder if test ever generated 2 of that zone. -
I am a big no vote on this. I LOVE feudal Japan. But this is not Ancient World of War and Crafting.
Until we get a Moon Zone, Modern comic book themed Atlantis (not an ancient mystical swords and sorcery atlantis please) and any other modern comic places I really think Cimerora is enough on the ancient. -
Ok, how does the converter work? I checked Paragon Wiki and there just isn't much info.

How about Striga. That is a bright zone. Most of Paragon is sunny. I think DA dark is the exception not the rule. Reading here makes it sound like the entire game is dark and gloomy. I don't find it so.
Blue side that is. Red side is fairly dark and gloomy. -
I don't go to Praetoria for a different reason than I've read here.
I do admit that the arcs are very well done. Great stories, and wonder job on the whole shades of grey.
So, it isn't that it is poorly done. It is just that I have no interest in that kind of story.
I like City of Heroes because there are no shades of grey. I like to play a tights and cape hero. That is what I like in this game. Because of this Praetoria has little interest to me.
I don't begrudge that anyone actually likes the zones. (Variety is the spice of life, and to each their own afterall.) Just putting in my 2 cents as to why I've no interst in going there.
I do have a couple characters there, both mid teens (so I did give it a chance). -
I prefer A
Although... I hope the box in the chest becomes a Chest Detail as I don't think I'd use that bit. (Options... always like options). -
I am very far from a numbers person. The incarnate I have Diamagnetic on is my DM/Regen scrapper. I looked at what was offered and not getting hit looked good to me. (also none at the time were thematic with DM).
When I'm doing missions at +8 I get hit an awful lot more before I do an AOE power.
I try to run into the middle of a mob and hit Soul Drain. As soon as I see the animation for Diamagnetic I seem to be getting hit less.
I notice that when I don't get it on the mob I am very busy with regen clickies. And when I get something off that hits everyone suddenly I'm not dieing as fast.
Yes, no numbers there. I just know that when I hit with an AOE I take far less damage.
;shrug YMMV -
When I read the title of this thread I thought it said Lusca was going to retire. o.O

My deepest condolences. You and your family will be in my prayers.

Quote:Seconded!Honestly we need the capability to apply the current Chest insignia symbols to every part of the body in some way. There should be at least one costume option, per attachment point, that will take all of our current chest symbol options. One for head, one for Chest, one for arms, one for gloves, one for belt, one for shoulders, one for legs, and one for boots.

Everything SilverAgeFan said gets a big YES from me. I'd also like to add the following:
Quote:I keep seeing just white. How about any color we have available? White would be nice. But so too would red or green or black (I have an all white ghost that would look good with black eyes). So I agree with white eyes... just make it tintable eyes.Masks:- Masks with white eyes as has been suggested above repeatedly.
Quote:- White. Something needs to be done about the white on masks for faces. It blends with skin as if it were a very thin white watercolor wash rather than opaque fabric.
Quote:- Take a good look again at the super science goggles, especially in a full mask setting. This is a good starting point. Could use a few goggles like this that color well to blend with full mask colors and carry even more eye shapes: Cat eyes, sneering eyes, dot eyes, etc.
We want options. Any and everywhere you can give us A or B, or A through Z, options are always appreciated.

Missing some basics like a good checker board pattern. Suits of cards patterns with some baked in symbols but room for a chest emblem. Question mark patterns.

The Hobbit and The Avengers are the only movies on that list I'm looking forward to. The others... meh...
Now Promethius and John Carter are two I'd add to the list. Otherwise there really isn't much else that excites me. -
Fair winds and following seas!
I wish you the best. You will be so very much missed. -
I loved Silent Running. There are a ton of movies I've seen mentioned that I wouldn't have considered as they are ourside the time period from the OP. The OP clearly stated 80s and early 90s films. Silent Running is from 1972.

Purple Rain (Ultimate 80s movie)
Raiders of the Lost Arc (Did I really not see that on anyones list?)
Excalibur
Dead Poets Society
Rocketeer
Ladyhawke
Caddyshack
Big
Heartbreak Ridge
American Werewolf in London
Scarface
Pink Floyd's The Wall
Porkeys
How about close to the time period?
The Warriors (1979 is almost 80s)
Hacker (Does 1995 still count?) -
Anyone have a close up picture of his pistols?

Quote:Solomon Kane FTW!Then again, had Paragon offered this in time for the Halloween event, they would have been open to the charge of "Pay to Win" sales.
Here's hoping they learn that consumable sales are ultimately not as good business as costume pieces (the special monster costumes were great).
Pilgrim hat? I'd buy that for a dollar! I'd love to make this character:

Quote:Wow, no kidding. This is pretty much my experiance. I have read about this trial in the forums. I thought because of what I read that I understood. Boy I had no idea. The raid leader was saying what to do, and I did my best to follow, even so I still had very little idea what was going on. This is the only trial, tf, or whatever in this game that I didn't "get".For me, I have zero clue what is going on in that trial. I've run it twice now, and doubt I'll ever do it again. The flashy text pops up and I'm like? What? What does that mean? In the first stages when you're picking up blinkies and trying to use the powers on the terminals I would get the message that Warworks were nearby when there were NONE nearby, which was confusing. The whole trial seemed like a massive clusterpancake and at the end people congratulated each other on a smooth run.
...no thank you.
I've only run this once, and did not get hit by the beam. As I said I read about this before the run. So I knew that the beam was a bad thing. When ever I saw the warning I would just run from the fight. I was playing a scrapper, so running away made it feel like I wasn't really contributing. I never did see a green cross hair on the ground. With all the player's effects and what not it was pretty impossible to pick out just one thing like that. So I ended up running a lot. By the time he was down I felt like I had hit him just 3 or 4 times.
This was the only event like this I've played in the game that at the end I just felt like a confused spectator. -
Reading some of the posts made me think about this dilemma of yours another way.
Having to hand wave the contact dialog is necessary for more than just being mute. I have a character (see sig) named Schattenmaus. She has a very odd accent. There is no way any comment I've ever read involving contact dialog could have come from her. I have had to hand wave that portion of doing missions, there is just no way around it, at least that I would find enjoyable.
Not to mention the only in game voice we get for our characters. The "grunt" when we jump. No way that sounds like Maus. Just another thing that I basically ignore.
BTW, if you're curious here is a page that talks about her, and at the bottom is an explanation of her accent.
Maus' Roster Page
Bottom line for me has been lots of hand waving (just mentally adjusting the dialog to how it should be). -
I have a mute character (Silent Knight). He uses American Sign language. Basically as somebody else said I use the ;emote bit. I also tied it to one of the actual hand moving emotes so there was a visual tie to the statement.
At the end of the day this is an MMO and a character has to find a way to interact with others whether "in character" (as in RP) or "out of character". That is unless you are going to solo this character's entire career.
