    for easier arresting

    [/ QUOTE ]

Arrest?! Get back to Paragon. Corruptors kill nightly!

As for the three holds question. On anything else Petri-Flufetri-Patron is a very nice way to keep many people mezzed and keep anything higher perma-mezzed for ease of defeating. But with Ice you have two holds to pick up if needed (nice early one too).

Bitter Freeze is a long animation though, Freeze Ray & Petri would both be in with the same Mag in half the time of it. Then Fluffy likes to hold and generally debuff things, I wouldn't knock the heals though, only thing Fluffy is unreliable on is getting in melee where her CotN belongs and mass Immobs with her Tentacles.

Joy of Fluffy is no matter how you slot, it'll have 99% chance of Success.
  2. One of the fun issues I have on a team with Rad is the fact by the time I get the debuffs down and ready to attack I'll have one anchor down and half the mob are dead.

"Oh well, at least I made them squishier."

    Life of a debuffer.

Punch and haymaker have knockdown as well, so the total list of powers that can knock down/back and could proc are: Punch, Haymaker, KO Blow, Handclap, Hurl Boulder and Footstomp.

This was why i was planning to put explosive strike: chance for -recharge in bruiser.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That set is the Smashing Damage.

Do you mean the Force Feedback +Recharge? (Which of course means it shortens the time of [X])

At the moment FF +Recharge causes pets with it slotted to go full on loco in melee. One reason folk slot in their Bruiser, unfortunately Phantasm and Singy aren't better in melee for other reasons, so we have to do without.
  4. Fiery Embrace is one of the signigicant reasons SS/Fire Brutes exist. Why? SS has Rage and then you get (as mentioned) an 80% increase to Non-Fire attacks from Embrace, this makes KO Blow the KOiest Blow, Foot Stomp the Big I Am and all your other attacks get a tasty boost too.

For my SS/Inv I took Jab, Boxing and have Brawl set to auto, you'd be suprised how many folk get wobble-headed from this. I generally leap into a mob, get them all meleeing around me and tab through them hitting attacks before ending with a Foot Stomp after enough Fury gets built up (doesn't take long). With Burning Aura this should take even less time.

I've always liked /Fire for its Healing Flames, comes up often, don't always need it, but I don't have to click and then worry about the next one being too far away. Never know what's around the corner...well unless you have a stalker on the team.

But when does that ever happen?
  5. Drakmarth

    O M F G

Only Bruiser takes KB from Thugs. Enforcers and Thugs take Pet Damage and Def Debuff (ergo put some Achilles -Res or LG Neg Dmg in ).

At least Handclap COULD do damage, rather than be a really annoying opener. The damn dolt actually stands there in handclap range (1 step outside Jab/Punch/anything range), but not melee until the next cycle some instances.

A Traps MM can only babysit for so long before the next poison trap needs planting!

Drakmarth and his Black Guard shout most heartilly out to the villains of the world. Aid Ms. Silver Mantis in her reclaimation of the Lost Spoon!

A spoon that has been passed down from father to son through house to home from century to centimetre, one that is still made of illegal mixtures of lead and sawdust, one that may have been used by Jesus (the Peuto Rican) on one of his many soup-based breakfasts.

So the doors of Eternia (The Black Guard) have been flung (gently) open because his is a base with a mission computer!! Attend one and all! Attend and fight the Raiders of the Lost Spoon!

For the majority of board-readers, TTSFG! is an unheard of acronym (some even think, whispered only by the priviledged few that have snuck into the team and giggled when they thought they were unnoticed, but we noticed and we let by gones be by gones.

Team Task Strike Force GO! is the coining of myself and Eskimo Spy (some may know as Luna Blackheart), it is a sacred bond of friendship, adventure and all the debt you can cap. Other than that it follows the same standard of any other TF or SF..except for the rules.

Yes we have rules, rulings and rulers. But fear not, they are here to protect you..unless you are a robot.

Team Task Strike Force GO! Rules
    1. There are no rules.
    2. Must put fear into your enemies with the dreaded Coyote Ugly Homage Monkey Dance! (aka ;dance3) at least once per TSF (Task Strike Force). (Photo Moment a must!)
    3. When in doubt, blame the robot.
    4. Don't bicker or argue about who killed who, these are happy times!
    5. Don't shoot the duck.
    6. Goto 4.
    7. Above all, remember rule 1.

    Task Strike Force: Silver Mantis
Location: The Black Guard VG (meet at Cap Au Base Portal)
    Level: 20-25
    Minimum Team: 4
    Date: Saturday @ 7pm
    Turn-Ons: Needlepoint, Nuture, Metalwork
    Turn-Offs: Saddle-stitch, Nature, Metallica

    blackhole?

Blackhole is unfortunate in being the Ginger Cousin of Dark Miasma's purely formed Aryan Race. I grabbed it on Test (along with any other Dark/Dark I had not picked) to...Test.

It really is a bad power in most terms. Can be snappy out of the box with half-n-half mezzing, but in most teams everything else from /Dark will halt/hinder/suitably recover from the OH SHI-moments of the game.

Think of Blackhole as allowing you to take another power rather than tipping heavily over on your [censored] from Secondary-itis, kinda like O2 Boost or Gale in Storm. All else is win!

2x times a combo of nightfall+tentacles do about as much dam on paper, so do the maths...

    [/ QUOTE ]

And you'll have done 5x as many combos in the time it takes the -rec to wear off.
  9. I love the emotions of Kappy, suits the cheeky whippit. All the rest are great, love the action pose zwei for Screwloose and even the Old Man's overbite (under-overbite?).

As for Jen, I'm still trying to find a cossie that suits her overall appearance. Have a desire for some kind of Jester-ish attire for herself like the little ensemble I have in cossie slot 1.

The current cossie I'm usually on is The Black Guard's VG Cossie.
  10. Would have first thought the most electric self-buff to be Power Sink or Conserve Power, but with Mu PS it'd be overkill and Conserve Power? We have domination for most (if any) end-troubles.

It'd still be fun to have Lightning Rod, even if it isn't as often as PSW. I hope its something actually Tier 9-ish rather than the ST Mid-Teens throw-in.

I'm actually fond of Earth as a set for Doms as it'll give some neat treats, I have a horrible love of Stalagmites (I only wish they were as over-powered as a Rikti Mage), might just be the 'HUR HUR ME BR00T' stomp animation. To my knowledge Earthquake is KUp (like Ice Slick), but like most KUps it'll KB enemies below Con (and I think any Underling).

Earth/Fire would be a nice complimenting set, throw that lava!

I can't think of a primary that would 'suit' /Elec..other than an Elec primary. But that's purely because I like something I can explain beyond 'A WIZZARD DID IT!1 MAGIK!11'

    Best debuffer?

    [ QUOTE ]
..and her own personal DN on top of that.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Finally someone else noticed that. I've mentioned it before but people assume I'm on about the Chill of the Night Aura Fluffy has. She can sometimes un-DN if distracted or not re-apply another DN right after defeating an enemy, but with AVs it is usually a much longer fight.

I personally love Miasma for this sort of thing, it's great to fight AV/Heros and not get hit due to the combined efforts of Fluffy, DN and Fearsome Stare (both are just about equal in debuff %).

Never really seen myself comparing the heals between Rad and Miasma, Grasp heals bigger, for the same price and adds debuffs, Rad is autohit so you're not worried about missing, but it costs a lot for what feels like so little.

Rad is a dander of Debuffing all around though in toggle format.

Given the similar debuffs and different ways of applying, it is all down to what you prefer? Making enemies neon green and sterile or blinding the [censored] out of them with a blanket of darkness.
  12. [ QUOTE ]
So what would you recommend vines or spore burst or neither??
could a high lvl post up a build?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Spore Burst is a Sleeper, it can be nice. But as with most mass-Sleeps it just gets negated by any damage.

Most PANIC! happen when you're in a group and you aggro more than your worth, likely to have a lot of AoEs flying around, makes it a bit pointless.

My main dom tends to use Cinders situationally, generally spamming Flashfire and Char around and does well without Cinders up every four mobs let alone every mob.

With my Plants/Ice I'd see myself working Creepers/Seeds/ST Hold more with PB so Vines seems even less likely.
  13. I'd be happy with either. Earth is quite a good mezzy/controlly set that would bring nothing but wonder to the Dominators. Domination Stalags, Domination Quicksand, it's all good.

clumsy rock thing that probably walks with loud *smash crash* noises

    [/ QUOTE ]

You are not a "clumsy rock thing". The only power that does that is GA, and I would expect a stalker to use that power a lot less than other ATs.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'm sorry, but have you SEEN all the armours on at once for a Stoney? You have bunchs of rock sticking out of you, bright magma, flashing floating stones and big bits of brightly colour rock coming out your kidneys. All this and (if you chose to be this way) you look like a human + transportor-room-kiptin experiment gone wrong. NOT a Crouching Tiger, Hidden Boulder.

And yes you would make loud crashing noises because you're a heavy SoB that can't run very fast because Rooted is -Speed oh and it kinda stops traveling (well cept TP), maybe stalkers trying to run off (it happens sometimes) like being mez'd in Crazy Land.

Instead of 'Darked Illussions', the set could be named 'Shadows'... very villainous...

    Shadows/dark FTW

    [/ QUOTE ]

Whilst it's a nice idea, I can't see Illusion getting much more than a cosmetic makeover.

Replacing Group Invisibility or Spectral Wounds with a second fear power would make it feel more villainous, but it would also make it flat out better than the hero version!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Would be nice to get a Chill of the Night toggle, that's some dandy -Acc and Damage. Would of course have involve you being in the enemy, but Ice has Artic Air which isn't too dissimilar.
  17. Flying Solo is indeed slow, dull and flat-out boring.

I have a few villains in the works at 35+, at 35 a Corr by the name of Diegesis, a 36 a br00t called Bardiel and then after that a Dom at 40/41 known only as Jenseits.

My globals are below, if you see any of these three I'd probably reply quietly back.
  18. The AT that goes to Grandville, stands by the infamous TV door and shouts "PL PL0X".

Other than that, solo-wise, it can be easier for a Brute/Stalker, possibly certain Corrs that don't gobble up AoEs, just for those times you find yourself against an EB and Corrs do have a nice part that most of the secondaries focus on debuffing with at least one power.

    Souls! MORE SOULS!
  22. Electrical Domination and Elec Assault would likely be a combo of Mu-stuff and Brute/Blasfenderism, would be a neat little concept because as any real villain knows, the blood of the Mu runs deep.

Too bad it would require more than a little cobbling.

DoT Lava Damage for Earth Domination!!....what we're evil? Lava is a must!
  23. Sorry folks, but I don't agree with some of the comments on Life Drain. I didn't take it original, but then had a respec and decided to throw it in.

Sure Grasp is more bang for your buck, nothing against that, but as an aggro-grabbing, darkest night-herding, tentacle/fall-spamming son of a gun I'm bounded by law of Sod to have some of the attacks hit me despite the -Acc and when they do I don't want to have to wait the length of Grasp to heal, a quick snap of my wrist and I get a tasty 20% of my health back, and it's pretty quick spam to boot.

Plus nothing feels more corrupting than stealing some Behemoth Overlord's last drop of health to save yourself. Too bad it doesn't do a little -regen like Grasp and Howler though, that'd really open some eyes.

There again I'm also the guy that fires off Moonbeam in the middle of a big fight to take down runners.

Anyway, other points have been quite valid regarding Black Hole, Dark Pit and Torrent. Took these on Test as a laugh going around Sharkhead torrenting Sky Raiders off their base roof.

    [ QUOTE ]
Unlike other nukes, Blackstar has the advantage of throwing extra accuracy debuffs around. So it's a bit "safer" to use then other nukes I'd guess.

Than again, I've only seen the nuke from the Fire set, and that's high damage, and little else. Definitely you don't want anything to be alive after using THAT. Whilst it seems you actually may survive using Blackstar and leaving some enemies breathing.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'd say Dreadful Wail is safer. My son/son jumping into a mob of freaks and nuking leaves most dead, any live souls have bleeding eardrums and bobble-head on for quite a duration. Enough for a team to clean up.

Meanwhile I find my Dark/Dark doing so much else in terms of debuffing and attacking that a one-off nuke would hinder my productivity. Two of the Three major aspects of my team survival are toggles, the three being Shadow Fall, Darkest Night & Fearsome Stare.

Everyone plays a little differently though, though no one should play Darkblackholetorrentpit.

I never realised that my bind was so popular

    [/ QUOTE ]

Bind is popular, you still suck though.
  25. Drakmarth

    Slight problem

Dimension Shift is very debatable, is it a worthwhile power in the long run? Perchance not, my controller never required it and I don't really like intangibles for the reasons you stated: People still attack them, probably attack the intanged more so (more on that later).

BUT is it a good power? Well ask any group that's had two/three/four mobs get aggro'd at once and suddenly half of them stopped attacking. I know from Dom Night that our Grav has saved our [censored] a number of times with 'Calm down dear, it's only Dimension Shift'. That's something to consider, bind a key to say you're using that power.

It really can save skins. Smart skins. Smart skins that notice 'unaffected' text above their heads. Smart skins that notice 'unaffected' text above their heads and that someone else without the wibble aura is still shooting them.

It is very 'showy' in terms of effecting your enemy, which is probably the reason why people attack them, meanwhile the actual holds and immobs of grav are sleight..well except the whole 'why iz I floating, me no have fly!11' of mobs.

Wormhole however is very tasty. Tasty because it has a unique action.

You see it has a 'range' for use, if you select a mob whilst out of range and then chose your 'wormhole to' spot, then you get the 'Out of Range' over your head. But the power is still slotted for use just like any other range power.

Walk into range you will suddenly perform the WH action and BADABING! the mob gets wormholed to your original selected outside the original range. This means you can really start pulling mobs to locations that suit you and your team, debuff patches can be set, anchors can be slotted ready for in-range use, you bring the mobs to them, all bunched up neatly in a corner.

Another tidbit if you have Fly/Hover then you can even use the floor as your corner and throw them down packed onto it, though you have to be in range as you need to be pushing vertical towards the floor. Any movements otherwise would cause you to angle the hole and cause a 'spill'.

But do what I did, test the [censored] out of it against lowbie packed mobs in Cap Au, it's seriously good fun and you have all the range to test out the unique quirks.
