Powerset Proliferation and Dominators?

Of course, being a villain, I'm bitter as hell about controllers getting Plant Control.

I wonder if Dominators are pencilled in to receive something. We're pretty short changed on range of choice anyway.

I'm guessing Earth is very likely. But I'm kind of secretly hoping for Illusion, very much like Malaise's set on the RSF. PA looks so much better in black .

I guess earth, so masterminds can get some form of "illusion".

MMs are only getting a new secondary. Doms are getting a new primary and secondary. I'm also guessing Earth but I have no idea what the secondary could be for a dom because they have secondaries that are a mixture of melee and range with some utility.

I think Earth Control is more likely for Dominators as Illusion doesn't really benefit much from Domination since it only really has 3 true "control" powers being Blind, Flash and Spectral Terror! Shame though because an Illusion/Psionic Domi would make an awesome concept

Maybe /dark? There are plenty dark powers which fit into one of those descriptions.

They could potentially make an Earth Assault set out of Stone Melee and some ranged powers the Legacy Chain use (and Hurl Boulder, of course!).

If the devs aren't sticking with a themed secondary to go with Earth Control, then both the Dark and Electric powersets provide the most compomnents to work into a new set in the shortest time.

Or maybe a weapon-based set of some kind? A Ninja Assault set combining Ninja Blade/Katana with Trops and shuriken?

I'd guess it would be the 'easy' route and using stuff thats already there, so Earth Control for me if the doms get it (which would be really nice as its off the chart hard control).
Secondary (if any) would be really nice to have Electric Assault but Dark Assault is quite likely.

At any rate, its all exciting and 'terrible' news for altaholics like myself

I think if they are matching powersets thematically then illusion and dark would go well together. With electric... would it be possible to cobble together an electric primary out of all the different powers that are out there ?

It seems like we dominators gonna get earth control, which I dont like much, but it isnt so bad... I would like sumthin like 'Dark illusion', a similar set to illusions, but with some changes in F/X and swapping group invis with anything from dark set... that would be nice...

Well, i liked the idea of a gadgets primary sets, part of /devices and part of /traps... that would be nice too...

As the secondary, my bet goes to electricity assault, mixed of defender and brute powers... Which in fact I wouldnt like for a secondary...

Maybe an archery assault?? I highly doubt it becoz its hard to go melee with an arrow... Maybe a dark assault, mixed of brutes/corrs... dunno, the secondary, I would like it would be an unique set for us alone

Hoping they will fix that with I13 and give us whips and chains to play with.

Electrical Domination and Elec Assault would likely be a combo of Mu-stuff and Brute/Blasfenderism, would be a neat little concept because as any real villain knows, the blood of the Mu runs deep.

Too bad it would require more than a little cobbling.

Seriously any new dom sets will mean at least 1 or 2 more doms to my collection. I think its time for us all to "muhhahaha" some more.

I'd have thought so for sure. Animations for ST and AOE holds are around I guess too. Tesla Cage OFC and so on. I'd have thought you could just about scrape together enough for a primary and an Elec' Assault secondary really. With the work really being limited to balance etc.

I think it'd make for a really "Dominator" flavoured set surely too.

Whilst it's a nice idea, I can't see Illusion getting much more than a cosmetic makeover.

Replacing Group Invisibility or Spectral Wounds with a second fear power would make it feel more villainous, but it would also make it flat out better than the hero version!

Would be nice to get a Chill of the Night toggle, that's some dandy -Acc and Damage. Would of course have involve you being in the enemy, but Ice has Artic Air which isn't too dissimilar.

Illusion is more popular that Earth Control. If only judging by how many people will be happy with the Proliferation, Illusion seems a likely.

I'd be happy with either. Earth is quite a good mezzy/controlly set that would bring nothing but wonder to the Dominators. Domination Stalags, Domination Quicksand, it's all good.

To be fair, I want Earth too.

Actually, I can't decide whether I want Illusion or Earth. What a tough choice.

I just want illusion/psi, for the cool/concept factor really.

Talkin only from PvP point of view, I feel illusion/ would work best there... A fearing pet, some pets for more dmg, an invis power, and all of them checks psi defense...

Thats why I suggest illusion/.

Ah, to the ppl who says that is not a dominator set, we dominators build domination faster with the secondary, I dont need anythin else than my hold and maybe another power to spam in my primary set
