I just got an explosive strike chance for smashing damage proc and i can put it in my Genins on my ninja mm. But i CANT slot it in thugs on my thugs mm am i doing somthing wrong here or are they racists against thugs?

What set type is explosive strike? It may be that you can't put that set-type into thugs as they don't have that kind of attack.

Explosive Strike is a Knockback set. Can Thugs take Knockback sets? I know they can do knockdown with some attacks but they mustn't be able to slot with knockback sets.

Your Bruiser should be able to take it, but it'd only fire with Handclap AFAIK.

Only Bruiser takes KB from Thugs. Enforcers and Thugs take Pet Damage and Def Debuff (ergo put some Achilles -Res or LG Neg Dmg in ).

At least Handclap COULD do damage, rather than be a really annoying opener. The damn dolt actually stands there in handclap range (1 step outside Jab/Punch/anything range), but not melee until the next cycle some instances.

A Traps MM can only babysit for so long before the next poison trap needs planting!

KO Blow and Footstomp would benefit too (the bruiser does have KO blow right?). I don't even use the first upgrade on my bruiser, the handclap drives me insane. Second upgrade definately gives him Footstomp and that would get a nice benefit from the proc.

Punch and haymaker have knockdown as well, so the total list of powers that can knock down/back and could proc are: Punch, Haymaker, KO Blow, Handclap, Hurl Boulder and Footstomp.

This was why i was planning to put explosive strike: chance for -recharge in bruiser.

That set is the Smashing Damage.

Do you mean the Force Feedback +Recharge? (Which of course means it shortens the time of [X])

At the moment FF +Recharge causes pets with it slotted to go full on loco in melee. One reason folk slot in their Bruiser, unfortunately Phantasm and Singy aren't better in melee for other reasons, so we have to do without.
