I suppose it will depend on how you will play e.g. solo'ing or teaming. If you are teaming lots then it shouldn't make to much of a difference what AT you want. If soloing then I suggest a brute or a stalker. Energy has massive burst damage and so would do very well soloing as you won't have lots of mobs to have to kill (and thus not really need AoE's).

The AT that goes to Grandville, stands by the infamous TV door and shouts "PL PL0X".
Other than that, solo-wise, it can be easier for a Brute/Stalker, possibly certain Corrs that don't gobble up AoEs, just for those times you find yourself against an EB and Corrs do have a nice part that most of the secondaries focus on debuffing with at least one power.

Stalkers aren't exactly what I'd consider fast levellers. Nowhere near the speed of a brute. Some MMs are pretty quick to level too (my bots/dark took less than a week to 33)
I'd say Brutes all the way. Teaming evens things out for everybody but solo, the Brute isn't even being played properly if you're not smashing your way really fast through missions in a frenzy of ultraviolence.
I find MM's to be safe, but slow. The constant setup is arduous, and the damage acceptable but by no means swift until 26 and your most powerful minion. Except Thugs.

By the time you've gotten to 32 though, the Brute is already at level 50 and spending his days punching Statesman in the face.

Started an all corrupter team this weekend and it is indeed crazy fun. We've got a good selection of secondaries and are just rolling through missions (most of the time giggling). However I would suggest that a group such as this would not be best if you are rushing to 50 since you need to wait before everyone else is online before you can play. Also, to the OP, you probably do not need to rush. I reckon you have a month at least before i12 is released!

I've been with CoH since about half way through the American beta, and due to taking month long breaks and general alt-itus i have NEVER gotten a toon to 50, and from what i've read here i made a real mistake thinking i could get to 50 quickly with a Dom, even though she's already lvl 38 x_x.

i'd disagree my stalker was the quickest total time to 50 my MM was longest with brute second .. but i think my dom will beat even my stalker (now if i can just get a corr past 10 i will be fine!!)
doms solos really fast, but u must know to play them... Once u got the trick, it is faster and easier than any brute...
In numbers: killing all longbows pvp mishes in 4 mins. On relentless. Without being shotted.
