Having read both, i knew Earth 2 #1 was just set up for what's to come later and a lead in to Worlds' Finest #1. It served it's purpose in that Earth 2's Trinity is now gone and sets up the stage for the next generation of Heroes who are coming.
My biggest problem was how Wonder Woman got dispatched by Steppenwolf, Kal didn't use his heat vision (he was seeing what was happening) to give Diana a fighting chance? Oh well plot device I guess.
Worlds' Finest #1 I thoroughly enjoyed. Decent story and fills in a little bit the 5 year gap. It'll be interesting when Huntress meets 2 members of the Bat family. Nightwing just because of the relationship they had on the Original Earth 2. Maybe it'll be love at first fight.
Batman should have discovered the seed money Helena "borrowed" by now. Although he'd probably have an easier time tracking down Karen then Helena. -
Yeah i just got back from seeing this. I was floored. Everybody got their time in the spotlight. Would have liked to have seen more of Cap's adjustment to the 21st century. What we got was still a whole can of awesome sauce.
Highlights:
-Widow's Fight scenes are the best in the film.
-The character interaction was almost perfect.
-Everybody had their moment to shine. -
Taken on it's own, The Masters of the universe movie actually played out like Kirby's 4th world stuff (The New Gods and all that) Skeletor is Darkseid, Castle Greyskull is the Source etc.

Quote:Maybe , Maybe not. Lynx-O appeared in the first story arc, and was mentioned in a later episodeThundercats felt a bit plot-light this week. Pumy-ra's hatred vanished just a little too quickly amongst Panthro and Dobo's past and the Thunderkittens interacting with the Racoon. Lot of little stories happening at once apparently as a setup for the next episode.
However; good that there's animosity from other cats against Lion-O showing a clear difference between the sweetness-and-light of the old series where he was just accepted as leader. I hope that Lynx-O will be one of the prisoners in the next episode. -
/just caught Thundercats and I really hope Pumyra becomes a permanent cast member. Would actually be funny if Cheetarah got jealous / protective if Pumyrah shows interest in Lion-O. ( Some women are like that though, even though they have no romantic intentions toward a guy in their group, if some other girl shows attention / interest, they feel the need to assert their alpha female status)

Ugh. Seriously? 5 years, wow Rocket's tenure on the team was a short one , eh? Oh well I'll see if I like the new format.and anyway, is Barabara the same age as Dick? Since she was in the 1st season in the "Artemis goes to school" episode and the parallel Adult / Kid worlds episode. Also was thinking they were going to pull an "Arsenal" on Roy when they finally rescue him from the tank, the poor guy.

YJ, nice mystery as to what the 6 did during the 16 hours they were under control...
Martian Manhunter
Superman
Batman
Green Lantern (John Stewart)
Hawkwoman
Wonder Woman
Notice that
1) 4 are either aliens or deal with Space Aliens (MM, HW, Supes and GL)
2) The 3 most powerful members of the league (WW, Supes, and MM)
3)Why Batman is 1 of the 6 is unknown.
This will probably be revealed next season. Can't Wait. Took a while to find it's voice but it turned into something really special. -
Quote:Avengers: Hell yeah! Carol Danvers makes her first appearance as Ms. Marvel! And she kicks Ronin the Accuser's butt! And she officially joins the Avengers!
And to top it all off, she's voiced by FemShep!
Jennifer Hale voiced her in her 1st appearance in Season 1, so I'm glad she's back as Carol for season 2. -

My updated FP Roster.
Positron
Numina
Synapse
Citadel
-Contest Winning Character-
Aurora Borealis
War Witch
Ms. Liberty (May be too busy with Freedom Corps and longbow, but will be the STF contact)
Notables:
Manticore is going total Vigilante and will be almost an Anti-Hero now
Back Alley Brawler will be the Hero Trainer in Atlas and a reserve Member
Penny Yin takes Aurora's spot on the Vindicators and will be Aurora's side kick
Note that 2nd Signature story arc Pandora's Box, from the looks of it, will restructure the Villain side of the Equation. -
Quote:7. Hulk doesn't fly, he leaps for miles at a time. THOR can fly and thus steer while in flight, Hulk just jumps and lands and jumps again.
Neither does Thor Technically. Thor Actually Throws Mjolnir and rides along with it to fly. which is why you see him spinning Mjolnir above his head when he hovers. -
Yes and too bad Wesley and data won't be here to save us with the Enterprise Disco Lights.

Just got caught up on YJ, and I must say, So the big question is which of the 3 YJ'ers that the villains have a line on, will be the one that betrays the team? Also wondering which of the team will make the Ultimate heroic sacrifice on the season finale? With 3 episodes left this season, I'm leaning on Artemis to make the Ultimate Sacrifice, but in my opinion she's way too obvious a choice for it.
-
I'm betting that the suits are Kree battle suits. Which would make sense.

Too bad, with a certain movie coming out this year, the X-Men are so going to get jobbed to the Avengers, heck they'll probably have Wanda become the host for the Phoenix Force.

While my 1st 50 Dr. Illuminatis, would be too busy with the Midnight Squad trying to get back all the artifacts that Wade stole, my 2nd 50, Ice Veil would release a statement along the lines of this:
"It is with great sadness, that we lay to rest Marcus Cole today. Yes I said Marcus Cole, not Statesman. We, as human beings, especially in Paragon City, tend to see the images we choose to project, rather than the human beings, androids, Alien life forms et al, we really are. Marcus Cole was a man who made a decision to use the abilities he was given to make a difference in the world. A choice that inspired almost all of us to make that same decision for ourselves. We take consolation from the fact that even though Marcus Cole is gone, We take up his inspiration, his courage, and his memory every time we go to fight the good fight against the evils that threaten the world today. Thank You, Marcus Cole, the man who taught us what true heroism is, and let us hope, that if we ever stare death in the face in the course of our adventures, that we face it with the same courage and strength that you did."

Here's another thing, does that mean the Statesman TF is only run able through Ouroborous after players finish the story arc?
-
Quote:Actually I'd bet on Manticore actually taking over the mantle of Statesman, I mean the way it will be done will be through the Pillar anyway, to take away his power, and he'll die heroically saving Paragon City, but that still leaves the question of where does that power go?If he really ends up dead dead instead of comic book dead (Like Johnny Storm whose body wasn't even cold by the time his return was announced) we can just grab ourselves a Marcus Cole from some other dimension. There's millions of him out there.
But my money is on him not being dead dead and the real person who dies permanently will do so as part of the effort to bring States back. Currently Manticore seems the most likely to end up that way since he's got some redeeming to do after the last couple WWD arcs. -
Thundercats I kind of call BS on this one. I mean seriously the whole season leading up to the "Betrayal". It's been one way, then the previous episode flashback just so they can justify her choosing Tygra? OK, not going to stop me from watching, but they could have hinted it a bit more. I mean we knew Tygra liked her from Episode 1 and the various comments he made. We never ever saw how she felt about him, and the flashback seemed a heavy handed way to do that.
-
Loved the Dragon Riders of Pern. We all need to get on our Dragons and fight Thread!
God Speed Anne, you will be missed. -
I have a feeling Tygra is really going to betray Lion-O. (Hopefully not a cop out) He'll get the Sword and he'lll be the only one who comes back from the Astral Plain. His betrayal will be that he abandons Lion-O there. He'll lose the 2 things that matter most to him. Cheetarah will go into the Astral Plain Before it closes to save Lion-O but they'll be trapped there. Next episode will be Tygra dealing with his guilt and Lion-O and Cheetarah escaping. Reason I say this is as a true Leader, Lion-O must learn the path of forgiveness.
I know I way over analyzed it but that's what I feel is going to happen. -
