New Items
Ben 10 / Generator Rex - Heroes United
Star Wars Clone Wars
Thundercats

-So far watched B10/GR-HU. Fun hour long spec ep . That being said - they definitely hinted at a sequel, and it appears this ep is considered continuity / cannon for atleast Generator Rex.

EDIT:

Star Wars Clone Wars - fairly decent ep, and showing more shades of Anakin going dark.
Thundercats - man.. if you have not started watching this series.... YOU NEED TO START!!! OMG PANTHRO NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Yeah, Thundercats has been really good. And I *really* like the elephant monks.

Loved the Thundercats episode, but could you really call what happened at the end of the episode a betrayal committed by Tigera?

I'm sure it feels that way to Lion-O. Though really, compared to the genuine shenanigans Tygra's pulled on him thus far in the series, I somehow suspect he'll get over this one eventually.

Thundercats I kind of call BS on this one. I mean seriously the whole season leading up to the "Betrayal". It's been one way, then the previous episode flashback just so they can justify her choosing Tygra? OK, not going to stop me from watching, but they could have hinted it a bit more. I mean we knew Tygra liked her from Episode 1 and the various comments he made. We never ever saw how she felt about him, and the flashback seemed a heavy handed way to do that.

So what's up with Young Justice? Is the season over or what? Or are they pulling a Firefly and bumping it for any random thing?

I chalk it YJ absence due to the Holliday season.

This Friday we have an hour of Lego commercials followed by a Batman: BatB repeat, a new Ben 10, a new Star Wars and a Thundercats repeat.

Don't worry, they released the pictures for the series 2 toy line: he's getting some cybernetic ones.

Having watched the previous ep again; that's not quite what the elephant said. He said

By evening bell tomorrow, you will know a betrayal from your brother like you have never known
A very clever play on words with Lion-O quickly assuming Tygra would betray him, not that he would simply feel it from Tygra just being himself.

Now we're 13 episodes in; I'd say this is a wonderful revamp to the series and I look forward to the continuing adventures of the new Thundercats.

It looks like they've put it on another hiatus. Nebulous airdates of 2012 for the remaining eight episodes, which Weisman confirms are done and ready to air. Not such a bad move, really. Thanksgiving through New Years is a hectic time for most, and premieres in that period are likely wasted, not getting the viewers they could at pretty much any other time of the year.

Apparently, this was it for season one, but the series has been picked up for another. Who knows when that will debut. They're starting over from episode one tonight, so it's a good time to catch up for those that have missed it. It's better than the original in every way, in my opinion.

Having got all 200+ 1985-era episodes, I can agree that being a lot shorter is definitely working for the show. On the old series it's a bit like Star Trek where they get the same plans being used against them but in slightly different ways.

To use the Yahtzee analogy; they're both like Branston Pickle but the old one has it spread too thinly.

Now comes the waiting time till we find out what happens next.... meantime I'll just keep singing 'Tygra and Cheetara, sitting in a tree'

The 1985 era was all about selling toys. True with He-Man, true with Transformers, true with G.I. Joe. Thundercats and SilverHawks were just a year or two newer franchises. New season = new characters and/or equipment = new product in stores.

Then the FCC or someone tried to shut down the whole "toy tie in" but agreed to PSAs tacked on at the end of episodes ("Knowing is ..."). Personally I like how that idea was parodied in the 90s ("Wheel of Morality Turn Turn Turn...").
