    Good points on the Health/True Grit Slotting, and finishing the Obliteration. Hasten is fine as is, I'm not looking for Perma Hasten on this build. I tend to use it as an 'oh snap' button or when I know I'm stepping into a tougher fight.

  3. For control and mitigation Dark works well. It has -To Hit for starters, Touch of Fear (Which works well with DA's Cloak of Fear) and it's Dark Consuption helps mitigate DA's end heavy nature. Also it comes with a second heal for a bonus.

    I know, but I had the slots to spare, and I like the idea of the Psi resist.

    It's not set in stone, but I like it. Could move most of the slots from CJ to GC, but like I said, I like the Psi Resist.

    SD/SS Rebuild

    Remaking a build of a toon of mine. Originally she used Maneuvers and Assault, but I decided after a bit I should ditch them and Hurl for Tough and Weave. Turned out better than I had hoped. HP and Regen is high, End Recovery is high, global recharge is 77.5%. (67.5% if I replace the purples in the build with 5% boost sets) Oddly, on a lark, I got Psi Resists up to 26%, which I found a bit astounding, but I like the idea of having my resists well rounded. I though I'd put it up, see if anyone liked it or had further ideas.

  6. As mentioned, it's better to softcap S/L rather than Melee. Most everything thrown against you has one of those components in the attack. Also you are way overslotted for Knockback Protection, one will do the job against 95% of what you'll fight. Some of your toggles were underslotted. Also Eradication isn't a great choice for Death Shroud, not enough end red for something that draining.

    Soul Transfer should be usable with one slot. Shuffled a few other things about. In the end the Endurance Recovery is a bit less, but Endurance usage is much, MUCH less. A Cardiac Core Paragon should take out any remaining Endurance issues and buff up your Resistance too. Have a look at it. Took about ten minutes to swap things about.

    Ranged damage and non-S/L attacks are probably what is killing you. You should try to even your defenses out. The first will likely cost you fewer slots, but not cover the rarer damage types.

    I would agree, but the Procs in my experience will fetch less. Still worth a nice chunk though.

    If your going to keep it and plan on slotting a full Hetacomb set I might suggest Knockout Blow to get the most out of it. If your planning on using the Proc alone, then Jab as it's your fastest attack.
  9. From what I've heard (Never played DM or FA to 50, so do not take what I say as gospel) FA does crazy damage, but it's a bit on the squishy side until you slot in Defense. If you can get S/L Defense softcapped, or even near softcapped it's liable to be a real beast. Until then you do have two self heals and endurance recovery moves (One from FA, one from DM) to rely on.

    DM meanwhile has a lot of -To Hit in it, meaning any defense you get becomes more effective, and Touch of Fear can be used as a form of soft control.

    You big issues will be a lack of Knockback and Immobilize protection (Outside Burn) but these can be mitigated easily. Combat Jumping takes care of Immobilize issues and gives you a defense boost, and you can set the Blessing of the Zephyr -KB proc into your travel power. If you can't afford it you can slot one of the other -KB procs into your powers.

    I also have Super Speed slotted with the Winter's Gift Proc, meaning my Slow Resist is 60%.

    If I can spring for Hetacomb and Apocalypse (Big if, I know) I can push the global recharge of the build to 97.5%. Even if I can't I can use Crushing Impact and Decimation instead, 88.75%. Assuming I can get the Purples loaded in, plus a Spiritual Core Paragon I can make Haste perma with only two Recharge IOs in it, bring Practiced Brawler down to 51 seconds.

    Oh, plus softcap.

  13. On my MA characters, truth be told, I stopped using Crane Kick once Cobra Strike was buffed up. Since CS does the same damage for the same end and rech but with Stun rather than Knockback it's much more useful in combat.

    Crane Kick is awesome, though, for going around Atlas Park at level 20+ and knocking Hellions around.
  14. I have a KM/SR Brute (Sidelined at the moment, but at about level 40) and she is fun to play. Still not softcapped yet (Working on it) but she hits hard and hits fast. She's a speedster concept, and a workable one too.

    I would SO make a BS/SD Brute if I could...

    As for redraw, maybe make the weapon work with the animation of an attack if another weapons doesn't need to be drawn. (Like a Revolver temp power from a BA)

    This would mean slinging lightning or fire from the power pools from your sword/axe/mace ect, using Burn or Active Defense without dropping your weapon, and so forth. Just alternate animations that work solely with weapons. I understand it could be time consuming, but it would a) solve the issue once and for all and b) look bad ***.

    Maybe something to look into for Issue 22 or 23.
  16. Nothing too much I can say (Since I only really glanced at it) but I would advise aiming for Cardiac Core Paragon. End use is very high, and the lower you can get it the better off you'll be.
  17. No problem.

    If you plan to keep Parry then I'd recommend flipping the slotting with Hack so Hack can get the Achilles Heel Proc. Since that Proc only works in powers with Defense Debuff effects Hack is your next best bet for it.
  18. If your going to use Parry over Slash you can drop some melee defense. Otherwise replace it with Slash for the extra damage and defense debuffs to the baddies. It's also a good place to slot in a Achilles's Heel Proc since Slash is your fastest recharging attack, outside Parry. You can get the slot by taking out the Winter's Gift Proc from Combat Jumping and moving it to Super Speed since enhancing it is mostly pointless unless you feel you MUST get there faster than everyone else.

    You can also move the Glad Proc to One With the Shield and move the space to Deflection. Then you can move the Steadfast Proc there, offering a boost to S/L Resistance. It's a small boost, but every bit helps when you get hit.

    Also if your worried about Endurance then may I suggest working towards a Cardiac Core Paragon? 45% extra end red with 2/3rds ignoring ED is nothing to shrug off and it offers another 20% Res with, again, 2/3rds ignoring ED.

    Beyond that I can offer little other advice. I made the changes as well, if you wanted to look them over.

  21. This is a build I made up on a whim that I kinda liked. I'm still focused on building up my BS/SD Scrapper, but it was an idea I couldn't help but make. Though I'd see if anyone else liked it.

    S/L softcapped with E/N/F/C at 32%. Some Psionic Defense is present, but at 17% it's not much. Dull Pain and Siphon Life are both slotted, further boosting survivability. End use is higher than I'd like, but with End Recovery just over 4 per sec and Dark Consumption it shouldn't be much of an issue.

    Soul Drain is frakenslotted to gain a defense bonus and to give it some amount of accuracy. The ST attacks are also frakenslotted with Kinect Combat for defense bonuses and Mako's Bite to make up for KC's shortcomings. Over all I like the build, but with only limited experance with Dark Melee I'm not exactly sure how well it'd do.

You definitely need Hasten in your build if you want to do real Scrapper DPS, and not be out-DPSed by Defenders and Tankers.

    Gaussian's is a great set for positional defense users. Focused Accuracy is a good place to put it.

    Combat Jumping stacks with Hover for added defense. I'm not sure if you will need it, though. Slotting your powers, Hover, Weave, adding a Gaussian's set and Steadfast 3% defense should put you at or near the soft-cap, leaving the rest of your slots for recharge bonuses.


    Other than that, it would be nice to know the goals for your build. If you just want to hit the soft cap and do the DPS chain mentioned above, that should be fairly simple. I'll try to post a skeleton build for you tomorrow if you haven't come up with a better build by then.

  25. Took Sydd's last build and swapped things around a bit. Much better Recharge, Regen and HP all in all. Swapped out Melt Armor for OWtS. Swapped Shield Charge and Slice's Slotting, adding a Achilles Heel Proc for res debuffs. I'd advice taking Cardiac as an Alpha for End Reasons, but it's a start.
