Looking for advice for Kinetic Melee Secondary

I am looking at twp possible builds. either KM/SR or KM/INV. I would use energy mastery build with both. I have built SR brutes and INV tanks, so I am familar with both. Have never used KM..

which sets has better synergy? I like the extra recharge from Quickness. However the Praticed Brawler click power and needing to click hasten seems to be a pain. I like the fact Inv has a heal but SR seems to make more sense thematically...

Just looking for opinions...

Since Inv already has resistance and kinetic melee does -damage I'd say that KM/INV would be a fine combination. KM doesn't really do much to help SR but it's SR... it doesn't really need any help from the primary once fully built.

Have you considered km/wp? It kind of splits the difference - it has resistances (mostly to smash/lethal) to benefit from the -damage but it's mostly a defense based set. It has extra health and its main form of healing is a toggle so it doesn't get in the way of hasten.

My own km is sr, and she's a lot of fun. There's something elegant about those attack animations combined with the 'dodged' messages floating above their head.

Weight training: Because you'll never hear someone lament "If only I were weaker, I could have saved them."

There really isn't a bad brute secondary (yes even EA).

They all have strengths and weaknesses, and when fully IO'd they can all solo at +2x8 with little difficulty.

Thought I have to say the one handed KM animations you get with shield look really dumb.

When something good happens to me, I can never enjoy it....
I am always too busy looking for the inevitable punchline...

I have a KM/SR Brute (Sidelined at the moment, but at about level 40) and she is fun to play. Still not softcapped yet (Working on it) but she hits hard and hits fast. She's a speedster concept, and a workable one too.

Mine's a speedster too! *secret handshake*

It's been said in this thread SR has no synergy with KM, but this isn't true. Quickness helps get Siphon back more quickly, and it helps to get your attacks to stack their effects. The -Damage in KM goes very well with the scaling Resists of SR. It's a solid pairing. KM/INV will mature sooner, but KM/SR will get better damage output and still have amazing survivability in the late game.

SR also is the best Brute secondary at mitigating slows (both by dodging them, and then mitigating the few that do hit by 40%). That's a neat little feature of SR you rarely hear about. You also get ghetto Endurance drain resistance because most Endurance drains have to hit to affect you (Sappers and Carnival mobs have to make positional hit rolls for the drain effects, and that includes the Ring Mistresses since their -Recovery debuff is Ranged).

Hear, hear.

I also have Super Speed slotted with the Winter's Gift Proc, meaning my Slow Resist is 60%.

If I can spring for Hetacomb and Apocalypse (Big if, I know) I can push the global recharge of the build to 97.5%. Even if I can't I can use Crushing Impact and Decimation instead, 88.75%. Assuming I can get the Purples loaded in, plus a Spiritual Core Paragon I can make Haste perma with only two Recharge IOs in it, bring Practiced Brawler down to 51 seconds.

Oh, plus softcap.

i am totally going with KM/SR and I like the SS concept.. in fact I think I have a great concept now.

Im either going to call him EverReady ( because with the recharge I am building in he should always have an attack up and I should be able to get at least Three + End Procs in the build ) or Richochet ( because attacks basically bounce off him )

Thank you very much...

I am in the process of making/building a KM/SR Brute, would anyone be kind enough to post their build? Id like to take a look and see what thoughts they have?

This is the one I'm planning to use. If you can't get the Purples just use Crushing Impact and Ruin.
