Where to slot Hecatomb?
Find the ST melee power you use most often, and put it there.

Auroxis - Emp/Rad/Power Defender Pylon Video Soloing an AV
Pelvic Thunder - SS/Elec/Mu Brute
Sorajin - Elec/Nin Stalker
Neuropain - Sonic/Mental/Elec Blaster
Tier 1 attack requires least slots, it is the 20% -res bruise power and you can use it most often (although if you have an attack chain each attack you tend to use the same amount).
Aside from that it should be part of a set in an attack and aside from that I would prefer to have it on an alt like a scrapper if it were me.
He will honor his words; he will definitely carry out his actions. What he promises he will fulfill. He does not care about his bodily self, putting his life and death aside to come forward for another's troubled besiegement. He does not boast about his ability, or shamelessly extol his own virtues. - Sima Qian.

Unless you have a character that can slot it NOW, I'd sell it and use the funds for some of the IOs your tank will be wanting. Such as Kinetic Combat.
Running the ITF last night, and my level 35 inv/ss tanker (!) received Hecatomb, Chance for Negative Damage.
Are there any super strength powers that would really benefit from slotting this? Or is the Inv/SS build a sub-optimal place for this proc? (Y'know, port it to a scrapper, brute, or just straight up sell it). Since the character just dinged 36, he's still a ways off from slotting this, so feloow forumites, what are your thoughts in the meantime? |

I would agree, but the Procs in my experience will fetch less. Still worth a nice chunk though.

If your going to keep it and plan on slotting a full Hetacomb set I might suggest Knockout Blow to get the most out of it. If your planning on using the Proc alone, then Jab as it's your fastest attack.
