  1. I don't have a problem with people paying $12 a month for nothing more than the Vet rewards. NCSoft would get their money and when they find out that they get nothing other than a couple badges when they hit the real vet date, they will cry and leave.

    Day/Night Cycle

There are some hunt missions that the mob type only come out at night or during the day. A 24 hour cycle would mean that anyone that can't play at the right time will be stuck having to drop those missions.
  3. Trying to bribe people that don't like PvP to go into the PvP zones is just a bad idea no matter how you look at it.
  4. The only problem with your idea is that the Devs have always said that PvP would be optional, never required. The outcry of required PvP would be so bad that the Devs would change (or get rid of) the mission within a week of it going live.

    PVP Bank Robbery

As long as the announcement isn't set up on the zone event channel, I don't see any problems with it. If it was, the PvP haters would bug the Devs till they got rid of the announcement
  6. Adding a way to turn off the prompt for those that want it on auto is the only way all sides will be happy. That would even work for all buffs. It would make a huge options menu to set each buff settings, but it would end the buff fights because people that don't want it don't have to worry about the drive-by buffers and everyone else wouldn't have to click a prompt.
  7. I don't see why they would want to send players to servers they don't control. It would slow down the release of updates and new issues. That would mean higher cost to them and they get less of the monthly free. Not such a good idea.
  8. It doesn't take 3 weeks to upgrade the hamster....

But i agree, these aren't really major changes. They're changes i agree with but won't make a huge impact.
We had PvP since before CoV launched and it didn't do anything. This game way made without PvP in mind so the ATs have always been unbalanced. i13 was an attempt to balance it and it cost us half of the PvP population. I don't ever see this game having a large PvP group. They couldn't get one in the 5 years before i13.
  10. Have you ever thought that the problem with only virtue isn't even something that the Devs have any power over? For all we know it's the hardware that is failing. If ultra mode broke everything about the game, wouldn't all the servers be having the same problems? To sit there are say that they are doing nothing at all because they are going to a con for a day just shows how little you know about things like this. But if you really feel that the Devs are worthless, you can quit. Just don't let the door hit you on the way out.

As for me, I can see that they are working on it so I'm going to be right here playing the game I enjoy.
  11. While I would love to see the PvP system get turned back to the old version, I don't see where this would do anything to help the future of the game. At it's peak, the PvP population was around 15% or so of the player base. Now it's half that. Most of the players don't care about PvP (or hate everything about it) and any changes you make wont mean anything to them. I hate to say it, but everyone who thinks that fixing the PvP system is what it needed to save the game are totally wrong. If people wanted to PvP, they would have been doing it all along.
  12. I'm glad the prompt is back. I hated when they took it away. It wouldn't have been so bad if the buff didn't make noise every few seconds. With that said, I really hope the Devs are planning on adding the option for people to set it to auto if they want. Then all we will have are the people that will complain that they wasted a buff on someone that rejected it.

You think it's stupid. I think it's great to have back.

    Game Time Cards

EB games has shipped some in for me when I asked in the past.
  15. The two things I would like more is being able to have more than 2 beacons on each teleporter and making the arcane beacons easier to see what they are.
  16. I think that the server is just about worn out. Maybe it's time to upgrade it like they did for Freedom awhile back.
  17. Something is not playing nice with only some systems. It would be easy to find if it was everyone, but it's not. Most of the time I don't have any trouble. Sometimes I get lag issues. I'm not going freak out on NCSoft over it because I know they are trying to figure out what is going on. They would have fixed it already if it was something easy.
  18. I like to explore the back alleys and areas that people never go to see what fun things the Devs hid there (Like the Skull that got the purse in KR.)
  19. Some buffs can make a toon almost unplayable (like my scrapper.) Saying that a person that doesn't want a buff is really obnoxious isn't right. I have watched buffers go around and look for the people that don't like buffs just to bug them. I've even been kicked off of a team because I asked someone to please not give me a SB (oh noes! I'm slowing you down.. wait, I'm beating you to the next mob and my end isn't going down... guess you really do need the SB.) Buffers that refuse to stop buffing someone after being asked to stop are just as bad as the people the demand buffs over and over again after they already have them.

Adding a way for someone to delete a troublesome buff isn't that much to ask for. It would let the trigger happy buffers buff to their hearts content and let the people that don't want the buffs run free from the people that don't listen.

Oh, and a "random act of kindness" to someone that doesn't want it is not showing kindness at all.

Again, not exactly sure what is causing all this.
There is a known issue with Virtue right now. Avatea posted a sticky in the Virtue forums to let everyone know that they are working on it.

Unfortunately... this would be too much fun for the devs to ever make it a reality.
It would be fun the the 5% or so of the population that like PvP. It would not be fun for most of the people that play the game. They have always said that PvP would never be forced on anyone that doesn't want to PvP, but this idea would do just that. Anyone that is in a mission when it happened would come out into a forced PvP environment. Same for anyone that happens to log in during it.

This is a bad idea no matter how you try to make it work.
  23. As an admin, you of all people should know that even a small update to the software you are using can cause huge problems in other areas. To say that the devs are not doing their job because problems with a huge update is just plain wrong. You say that your system is fine, but you don't give us any reason not to think that some of your problems are in fact in your system. I say this because not everyone is having problems with the game. Sometimes, the newest drivers are not the best to use.

There are known issues that they are working on now, but with how large the game code is, it takes time to find the problems.
  24. Everyone needs to calm down. They are working on it. They learned the hard way that they can't say anything about how long it will take because of people calling them lazy if the problem takes longer than they said.
  25. I love how people go straight to calling someone a furry the moment they ask for animal costume options. It doesn't seem to matter that there have been a large number of animal like people in comics for years. Wanting to play a Beast Boy type hero does not make someone a furry.
