  1. That's a bug that comes and goes (like when they are walking through the air in City hall.) Just report it and they should have it fixed in the next patch.
  2. I had this happen to me on both of my computers. One fixed itself after I had it check the files, and I had to reinstall CoH on the other.
  3. It was removed the first time because of an exploit. They took the prompt away as a temp fix. The put it back when they fixed the exploit. The prompt is Working As Intended because of the special type of buff it is. Rather than blaming one group for having it added back in, let's all get together and talk them into giving us an option to have set to prompt/auto/reject. That way everyone will be happy and they will stop yelling at the devs over it.

I only said that because people keep saying that it was the people that didn't like the prompt that cried to the Devs so they put it back. Posting that you like something or don't like something takes the same effort. It was just my way of pointing out that the people that are complaining now are acting the same way as the people that they keeps saying were crying about not having the prompt.
  5. Just because people don't like it doesn't mean that not having the prompt was working as intended. The reason the prompt was there was because the buff lasted 20 minutes. Rather than crying about the prompt coming back people should spend that energy on getting them to and the Autobuff/Autoreject/Prompt option. After that no one will have a reason to come here and cry about having to click the prompt or having someone do a buff drive-by.
  6. Nvidia mobile GPUs run hotter than they should. Add that to the flaw in how HP built the heatsinks on some models (way too large of a gap between the GPU and heatsink) and you have over heating laptops. Some laptops are getting so hot that the GPUs are melting the solder between the chip and the board.
  7. I'm still trying to just run the normal TFs once. Someday I'll try a Master of, but seeing as it's taken me 5 years just to get half of the normal ones done I don't have very high hopes of getting them done before CoH2 comes out (if ever.)
  8. ummm Tokyo, you know this is an almost 2 year old thread, don't you?
  9. What I wish they would do is have an auto response to any tell to a trial account like they do when you are AFK. That way the person sending the tell knows that the other person can't reply.

    Why no CCs?

Whenever I host a CC I tend to look past the ones that are copies of comic books unless they have done something unique with them. They don't even have to be fancy if they just look good. As with all things art, it really is up to what the judges things is good though.
  11. I'd have it so they let you know the 'new' contact wanted to talk to you and then gave you the choice to say "ewwww, Not again. No thank you" and the go on your way. That way the people that like the contacts like Stephanie Peebles could still go talk to her and everyone else got the joy of slapping her with an /ignore.

Bottom line hating the way other people play/buff/don't buff is fine until you are looking to get a badge for a TF or something that requires more than your solo play!!!

    LIVE WITH IT!!!
The Mystic Fortune was first designed with a prompt. That was working as intended. The prompt was removed because of a bug that let people use walk to get several MF buffs at once. That was not working as intended and they removed the prompt while they fixed the bug. Now that the bug is fixed, the put the prompt back as they intended it to have all along. Why am I saying all this? Because I'm going to use your own words and tell you to "LIVE WITH IT!!!"
  13. The most common complaint is that it's a 20 minute long buff that makes sound every few seconds. People seem to like to give them out in places like WW where the buff isn't doing anyone any good and the sound is bothering them. If people didn't find it funny to do that, then I don't think you would hear other people asking for the prompt back. The only way we will be able to have both sides of this argument happy is if they put the auto/prompt choice in the options like they have for TP. heck, this is why they put the prompt for TP in the first place. A few thought is was really funny to TP people while they were at a trainer or buying enhancements.
  14. It was known that it was coming back because it was in the patch notes on the test server for awhile now. The double animation is bad, but to say that there was no notice that the prompt was coming back is false
  15. They have been adding small sounds to several of the buffs that didn't have them before. They add up when all you want to do is talk with your friends. Another way they can help with the people annoyed by driveby buffs is to cut all sound but the sound at casting. That would help a lot. It wont help with the people that can get headaches from the bubbles, but it would go a long way.
  16. They just don't like when people hit them with a buff that makes noise when they are not running missions. Then again, I put anyone /ignore that has kicked me from a team because I asked that I not get SB in a cave. It's not fun and if I'm not able to move, what good is the buff anyway?
  17. It's weird, of the people I know, only a few like that it's gone. I guess that means that around me, only the "whiniest 1%" don't want it back.

See, I can make up numbers too.

    Sidekicks

Are you sure you want a Fusionette type AI running with you in every mission?
  19. I don't worry about getting a toon to 50. I have 3 accounts and only 2 50s (most of my toons are between 20 and 35 with a couple between 30 and 45.) I just play what is fun and switch to a different toon when I get bored. Because this game is all about the journey to 50 and not what happens when you hit 50, I just never felt the need to make the push to 50. RP has done wonders for getting me to stick with one toon for longer, but that just means that I tend to chose them when I want to RP and one of my nonRP toons what I just want to smash stuff.
  20. I'm willing to bet that the first builder just had two beacons for one of the zones placed. It bugs some people when there is a teleporter with only one beacon.
  21. Even if they just added a level slider at the top of the respec screen. Slide it to the point you want to start changing. The game has the info to what you chose and when.
  22. People have been asking for an option to send invites to offline people for a long time. I think the problem that is holding it up is the fear of griefing. I know it would be annoying to me to log in and have to click no 50 times before I could start playing. If they could find a way to keep that from happening, I would be all for this.
  23. The money paid for more slots goes to cover the cost of making the storage system larger. I would love more room per server. I have 2 accounts full already and I'm working on my 3rd

It certainly doesn't do the game any good, unless the leavers are the sort of people who grief others and cause them (the griefed) to leave.[/I]
Simply put, anyone that will leave if they can't get the Vet rewards before they are due will leave when they find out they wont get anything free later. Someone that is driven away by such a minor thing isn't going to stay anyway. It's better for NCSoft to get their money before they leave.
