Quote:it's because they're using that terrible smooshed boob look from the jackets top. So the breasts are all deformed, which the jackets chest is so that the jackets fit better. Looks atrocious on the corset top by itself and I'm guessing is the cause of clipping or was on the other chest parts that it is available in. Seems the fix was just to use the ugly smooshed boobs everywhere. Bad fix.I'm having the same issue with the non-jacket corset top. It looks just awful. This piece was the main reason for me to purchase the steampunk pack... I will be extremely disappointed in my purchase if this isn't addressed quickly.
After today's patch the colors on the boots of the same costume ("Classic Steampunk" boots) were inverted -- thankfully that was an easy fix.
EDIT: I noticed while playing with this issue at the tailor that the shape of my characters chest changes noticably when I apply the sleeveless jacket + corset model vs the jacket-less corset.
What the art department needs to do is either have the geo/mesh shape change with the top chosen or if thats not possible then add another .geo/mesh file for the proper chest look for the non jacket tops (and really should add that same chest shape for the jacket tops using this geo/mesh only)
And from now on they should be designing these tops with the breast slider at max to prevent clipping then check it against the normal chest size and then breast slider all the way down so that they can see how the mesh deforms and prevent this continuous poke through that we keep seeing in the various parts, some of which have been reported numerous times and still clip badly at full slider, like the clockwork chest detail piece. -
Quote:its the show/hide supergroup emblem setting at the very bottom of the set supergroup colors on your costume page.I saw mention of something similar to this in another thread.
It was suggested that they check their SG costume settings (sg register -> settings). Something in the SG costume settings page was causing the chest piece to disappear.
.
IF that is toggled on and you're in SG, your supergroup emblem will show up replacing any other chest detail you may currently be wearing. -

Here's a tweaked build for more recharge, more aoes, less defense but still enough that 1 small purple will softcap you to fire damage. You're still going to be stuck with the tanker damage cap. this would work far better on a brute
According to the brute farm threads you want moar recharge! to get those aoes up faster, to get your heal back faster, to get consume up faster etc... and blazing aura does fearsome damage over time when added upAlso the force feedback proc in footstomp for more recharge goodness.

Quote:Of course the box itself doesn't mention incarnate but you must own it if you want access to that content, thus it is required to purchase to get incarnate content. You MUST buy GR to do incarnate content. So by buying GR you have paid for incarnate content access. The devs even stated in a forum post during release that GR was required for incarnate content. They never said Incarnate content was included in Going Rogue, just that Going Rogue was a requirement to utilize said content.
The box, which I am holding in my hand right now, doesn't even mention the word Incarnate.
So stop bandying about with vaporous points. By downgrading and having paid for GR you will LOSE access to content you paid for. -

I lost a respec recipe that dropped for me due to this bug. Was listing something else and BAM respec recipe sold for way less then it was worth, which was not the item I had placed up for sale! Pissed me the hell off.
-
Agree. Been wanting the slider to work for random rolls since inception. Doubt it will happen though.
-
Quote:This right here is Incorrect. You MUST Buy Going Rogue to access Incarnate content, yet when f2p goes live and if you downgrade to a Premium account you LOSE access to incarnate content, which you PAID for access to with Going Rogue. THAT really burns my biscuit and is downright wrong for them to do!If you bought Going Rogue, you'll always have access to everything that launched with Going Rogue--the four new powersets, the new costumes, access to the Praetorian zones and the ability to start a new character there, and the ability to switch sides from Hero->Vigilante->Villain->Rogue->Hero. If you bought extra character slots, you'll have that many more than the two base free characters available to play on your Premium account in CoH Freedom. Any booster packs you purchased will remain with your account. Even all the Veteran Rewards you've earned in the past as a subscriber will remain and will be available for any new characters you might choose to make.
-
That doesn't work for random recipe rolls. You get whatever level you are with random rolls, unlike buying a recipe with the various merits that exist...then the slider actually does something.
Quote:Huh. I was sure that when I locked a character at 30 and rolled with her, she got level 33 recipes. Too bad the slider doesn't work properly, because I sure would like to get level 30 random rolls on my farming brute. What we really want is the ability to have random rolls affected by the slider.

here's another little tidbit that can be added to a Useful Menu of commands. A menu for the different logout options.
Code:Menu "Logging Out" { Option "&1 Quit to Character Select" "quittocharacterselect" Option "&2 Quit to Login Screen" "quittologin" Option "&3 Quit to Desktop" "quit" }

Quote:why celerity+stealth in sprint and superspeed when you can put it in ss itself and obtain full invis with just one power? The endurance cost of SS+swift is far more then just SS, of course sprint wont be suppressed in combat but you'd still get full invis suppression.Couple of question:
- Why no procs into mortar?
- Why SJ +stealth instead of -slow from Winters Gift (Stealth can go into sprint with celerity), well generally I use Cele in sprint+Super Speed.
- Are the x3 LotG really worth it compared to just +recharge and x2 Enzyme?
- Is Empty Clips worth taking?
- How is Dual Wield better than Pistols (DPA looks better on Pistols)?
- Is Triae Beacon really worth taking if you dont go for max +recharge +heal? I mean, tripple dip +300% regen looks sexy. Single 150% shouldnt make the difference on a fight, should it?
You're forced to take Triage or Empty Clips unless you took pistol, at L4 so I'd guess it would depend on the slots you'd have to spend yes? At least 1 slotted beacon does something compared to 1 slotted Empty Clips
I think people skip the pistol on Corruptors due to the fact that there is a lot of stuff to cram into a build if you're softcapping so you may not have slots/power picks to take it and other stuff. I'd have loved to have gotten aid self in my build instead of triage but no slots and 1 power pick short as you have to take aid other/stimulant first. -
Quote:Thank you for posting the build and thank you to the other posters for sharing their builds too. Now, I know you don't need a build this expensive to solo the ITF, especially with all the incarnate powers now. Last time I did a solo MoITF in about 50-55 minutes was with only T3 Cardiac.

I find it very educational to see how people are slotting powers out and keep learning interesting little tricks now and then -
I'm betting, outside of "Bases/Supergroups Moving to Another Server with Transfer Tokens in F2P...being looked into" that any other base changes are down on the list under "root canal day at the office".

Quote:you mean move that decimal point over 1 place so it's the same as all the other auras, which Castle refused to doIt would be ineresting if they did something a bit more broad reaching with taunt auras in general
Basically --- Improve Willpower's taunt for Tankers
- Make sure all tankers auras are roughly (+/-50% at least) equivilent in taunting.
Pick some midway point and change all the brute auras to that level.
- That would give you Scrappers that taunt solo, but dont steal too much aggro when not wanted..
- Tankers who all have usuable auras - Inv could still be better than WP but not 10x better.
- Brutes who have auras that work decently when there are no tanks availible, but cant do as nearly good a job as a tank's aura.
(rttc)
seeing as we're talking wishful thinking I wish they'd remove click status protection and turn it into toggle status protection or make the click ones work like a breakfree. -
Quote:Blinding Feint:I'm leveling up a db/elec myself at the moment. Don't have power sink yet, but I do have an electric controller, and I'll back up what Valorin says about the effects of sapping. If you can get enemies to bottom out even for a moment, that significantly reduces how much attacking they'll manage to do even if you can't actually stop their recovery.
This actually looks pretty similar in some ways to the theoretical build I'm working on. It's got more s/l defense, but less e/n. I'm beginning to have doubts about the value of some of those sets though.
The one thing I'm really wondering about is Blinding Feint. My in-progress doesn't really have room or slots for it, which I felt comfortable enough with, since I'd read that it wasn't that useful for brutes due to the lower base damage/fury. But it seems to be in most DB brute builds I've seen anyway. So, now I'm not sure.
My first test build didn't have blinding feint and the original character, I think has every attack from DB. It is a build up style power so useful for damage and hitting, even though it has to hit to be useful, like follow up, so I figured I should take it but wasn't really sure on how many slots to devote as I feel if it's an attack it should at least be slotted to do fair damage.
I could go less damage more +to hit to move slots around I guess?
Sapping:
Yes on my current build I sap quite often, my problem with having 0 defense meant that I kept getting floored by alphas on teams, though energize helps a lot since they added it in (or changed it) to elec armor.
Not sure I have enough sapping power currently... -
Thank you for the reply and suggestions! Anyone else have anything to chime in on or better slotting advice? EDIT: and LO there are more replies then when I last looked ^_^. Will check them out and add any comments/questions I have afterwards
-
So I dusted off an ancient brute of mine, theme concept, Harlequin type carnival girl....and she's so squishy it's not funny. I've read some guides and checked out other builds and looked at what I did for my ss/elec brute and really want to fix this character and keep in concept.
- I want to keep jump kick for theme
- I'd like to keep the +perception IO as I hate being blinded by foes like arachnos.
- I'm not thrilled on giving up SJ (for maneuvers) but can probably get around ok with Ninja run & the jump pack power
- I know this build is rather pricy but I do have some of the stuff stored up from ticket rolls and what not.
- PvP IO's are out of the question for now, too much time/money to get one on my schedule. Something in the future possibly.
I could take a slot out of health and stamina and boost my 4 typed to 38% or so by putting a slot into tough and one into one thousand cuts but I'm afraid the endurance drain will be too great even with power sink.
Sooo HELP!What can you guru's do?

I personally they're far too tiny. They look pathetic. I was expecting something a tad bigger, about the size of the wisps in croatoa as they're smaller then a singularity and not overly big. Big enough to see yet not overpowering like some of the giant robot pets.

Quote:4 kinetic combats + 3 or 4 Reactive Armors should get you a fair bit over 20%, more like 35 to 40% s/l defense (with weave)I don't know. I'm not a total noob but I'm not a finely aged vet either ( I love to say that lol ) although I am a total addict and probably play more than a lot of people. That said I'm still learning about slotting. In almost a year on this game I've talked to so many people that all have different opinions on how to slot from 'it's not needed' (lol) to 'frankenslotting'. So I got me some mids and respected that darn brute so many times... I could never get lethal/smashing def over 20% no matter what I did. I'm talking 5 7.5's, enzyme hami's, set bonus' w/ focus on defense... and spent I don't even know how much 1... maybe 2 billion? or more? I don't keep track cuz if I did it might make me sad lol. So if you have a mids build to share or advice about slotting I'm ALL EARS. =)

It kinda sucks. You get a t4 Ringmistress that can attack and a Strongman that can attack and both stick around for 5 min OR you get a t4 Ringmistress who only sticks around for 3min or so and can attack and a non attacking seneshal who doesn't buff often enough and is not killable who sticks around for 5 min I would have much rather had the Ringmistress and Seneshal who could both attack instead of that ugly strongman. The lower level Seneshal that is paired with the ring mistress also doesn't attack (t3) and is killable. All other paired attacking pets, one of the two in both cases, is the strongman....paired with either ringmistress or seneshal.
