Victorian Steampunk 01 Chest Piece clipping with body
I was asked to post this by my wife, who is having the same problem...
"Clipping on some of the steam punk items seems to have been made worse.
The Jackets look fine now. But the Tights, Tights with Skin, Magic Bolero, and the Robotic Arms options look horrible (All female of course).

Wardrobe malfunction, anyone?
I'm out of signature space! Arcs by Tubbius of Justice are HERE: http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=218177
I have tested several characters using this costume piece. Adjusting scales does not reduce the clipping. It appears that they simply plugged in a dimension adjustment straight into the spreadsheet without checking for compatability with non-jacket tops.
M'Teru couldn't get the job done. So she sent Mot to Astoria. Bad call.
I'm now getting the same clipping issues as the OP. These clipping issues did /not/ exist before the patch today. No amount of scaling will fix this.

You can see in the screenshot my husband posted it looks like that they just squished it back a bit (the sides look pokey and jagged!), looks fab with the jackets but crud with everything else.
Also the no cameo option of the choker is ONLY on plain heads, hats masks and helmets don't have it. I apreciate that they wanted to fix the jacket issue and gave us the sleeves on the shirts, but if it means nothing else works I'd rather have it the old way. Most of my outfits using this PAID pack are ruined. Free stuff I don't mind waiting or such glaring issues being present when released but this was bought and paid for and the fix we waited a month for came out like this? boo
I've seen a lot of unfortunate clipping with the Steampunk pieces. Many of the high necked collars clip with the neck skin, unless the physical scale setting is shifted to the range I refer to as Chunky.
It's a very poorly animated release, with all sorts of graphical flaws and failures. The sleeves don't color match the shirts/jackets. There are a plethora of existing colors that are unchangeable (hair under hats, for one, and gold buckles everywhere). It appears that the animators did a poor job of testing the steampunk pieces compatibility with existing costume sets and pieces.
I'm having the same issue with the non-jacket corset top. It looks just awful. This piece was the main reason for me to purchase the steampunk pack... I will be extremely disappointed in my purchase if this isn't addressed quickly.
After today's patch the colors on the boots of the same costume ("Classic Steampunk" boots) were inverted -- thankfully that was an easy fix.
EDIT: I noticed while playing with this issue at the tailor that the shape of my characters chest changes noticably when I apply the sleeveless jacket + corset model vs the jacket-less corset.
Getting the same issue here, as is a friend of mine.
Gonna verify this one myself. Hope this gets fixed in the next cycle of patches!

So...any chance of an official confirmation the fix is in the works? Or, even better, completed and will be applied to live soon?
Even a wink or a nod would be stellar.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.
Black Pebble is my new hero.
Having the same issues myself as well, but given the age of this thread and lack of response I dun think its gonna be fixed =/ Shame really.

What they're waiting on, I don't know. I've got quite a few characters affected by this.
My problem is it keeps disappearing...It shows in the load screen, but then just goes away in game.

It was suggested that they check their SG costume settings (sg register -> settings). Something in the SG costume settings page was causing the chest piece to disappear.

I saw mention of something similar to this in another thread.

IF that is toggled on and you're in SG, your supergroup emblem will show up replacing any other chest detail you may currently be wearing.

What the art department needs to do is either have the geo/mesh shape change with the top chosen or if thats not possible then add another .geo/mesh file for the proper chest look for the non jacket tops (and really should add that same chest shape for the jacket tops using this geo/mesh only)
And from now on they should be designing these tops with the breast slider at max to prevent clipping then check it against the normal chest size and then breast slider all the way down so that they can see how the mesh deforms and prevent this continuous poke through that we keep seeing in the various parts, some of which have been reported numerous times and still clip badly at full slider, like the clockwork chest detail piece.

Since the patch today, my character, who is wearing the Victorian Steampunk 01 chest piece as her top, is experiencing severe clipping issues. She has the Eden top beneath it and as you can tell from the photos, if she didn't, there would be some severe wardrobe malfunctions occurring!
Please fix this soon, it looks horrible. I'm going to have to change my character's costume because of this until it is fixed.
