Really? Cos my good mate Dave's a superhero, and he's the main reason I started fighting crime. And, best of all, he gave me this wicked roman sword he got because he can't use it.
  3. It's probably because there is maintenance going on. Try again this afternoon

    Really? Whats the 51st?

And It's nice to see an Oceanic Forum, even though I'm not living in NZ at the moment, it's just nice to see the accent.
  5. Not to mention we only have 2 english speaking servers compared to the 8(?) us servers meaning we would only get 12 free slots if you joined them. No dice!

    US Edition?

The 2 versions are identical, apart from the timing of the latest patches occasionally. All you need to do is change something from EU to US (there used to be a sticky about it but god knows where that is now) and create a US account and log in with that. You don't need to redownload the game again.

  8. What did you kill to earn 5 prestige at Level 50? It should scale up as you get tougher but if you are killing greys it'll still be nothing.

    The Bar Is Open

Am I allowed in here if I'm a Kiwi living in London?

As for cocktails... well, it's not really a cocktail, but works:

    Elude:

    Absinth with Water and Sugar,

Leaves you hyperactive for a short period before you crash and burn.
  10. I have a mind/energy blaster at the moment, and everytime someone comes near him he either smacks them away, or down, with some serious damage. Take that away and if someone comes near I would be in serious trouble.
  11. We had a newb on a team where we were hunting Tsoo. The mission was to kill a character called black dragon or something similar. One of the Tsoo early in the mission said we had the wrong place. So we started making jokes about leaving, as we clearly had the wrong place and how we didn't see a dragon on the warehouse roof so maybe it was the wrong place, it's hard to hide a dragon etc. At one point this poor newb was offering to head out and see if he could see the dragon to check we were in the right place.

What's REALLY funny, is listening to Dutch people speak English.

Or should I say... "ssshpeek Englissshh"

    [/ QUOTE ]

That are only who did not have English lessons since Middle school, like most of our government officials

I am so ashamed when I see those guys trying to speak English...

    [/ QUOTE ]

Should have a word with my buddy as well then...

Oooh, if he reads this, I'm sooooooooo dead! Though he IS Frisian... Maybe that's why?

    [/ QUOTE ]Frisian?
They have been fighting for their own language a long time even

He shouldn't kill. He'd probably make you Fierljep..

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yup and having people try and introduce you to Frisian while trying to learn dutch is more than a little confusing.

OK, yes I did know that. Loved den Bosch. But the beach at den Haag is still refered to as 's-Gravenhage isn't it?

    [/ QUOTE ]
    No, that is scheveningen

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Yeah... Got slightly confused.

and orange juice is also very nice. And easy to say in dutch.

[/ QUOTE ]Foreigners tend to spit a lot doing so though

Shouldn't try drinking it while saying it really.

    easy: Den Bosch

Like 's-gravenhage.. its DEN HAAG. Stupid old dutch.

  16. Yeah, wish I had mastered reading and writing dutch. Can speak it OK. Admitidly my vocab has slipped in the 10 years since I learnt it but my accent is still OK. Really must try and get back into it.

And of course Webster did nothing to help

    [/ QUOTE ]
Webster the spider? Who bastardised the English language and then went on to set up Arachnos?

BTW - Are you going to try keeping up your talk about sticky wickets? Can you explain how the game works when you run back and forth between two lines rather than around a diamond?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well apparently the wicket at Edgbaston is "like jelly" according to Steve Rouse, the Warwickshire groundsman. So I imagine only the cream of the players will find success there and should not be trifled with, and any pitch invaders will be remanded in custard.

Edit to add that the Americans have successfully forgotten that they played cricket until the their civil war - when they adopted baseball because they only then needed a rifle butt and a ball

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ahh, but what a perfect opportunity to use this:

    [ QUOTE ]
you have 2 sides; a team that's in and a team that's out.. two men in the team that's in go out and when one of the men who's in is out; the next man goes in until he's out. When they are all out; the side that's out comes in and the side that's been in goes out and tries to get those coming in, out. Sometimes you get min still in and not out.
When a man goes out to go in; the men who are out are trying to get him out; and when he is out he goes in and the next man in goes out and goes in. There are two men called umpires who stay out all the time and they decided when the men who are in are out. When both sides have been in and all the men have been out; and both sides have been out twice after all the men have been in, including those who are not out, that is the end of the game.

    Soft toy or garment?

    [/ QUOTE ]
    I'm a guy, what's the difference again?

    [/ QUOTE ]

A soft toy teddy is a cuddly animal that you decorate your bed with, and a garment teddy is sort of like a linen corset, so a leather teddy would be a corset or basque.

EDIT: And you also don't have zippers on tights

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Again, whats the difference?

Must say I am looking forward to GR, may even pay full price for it.

    MA animations

I haven't seen anyone mention it yet, but the spines scrapper appears to have at least one new option for spines. At the start of the clip they appear to be straight spines, not the usual bananas.

Well, a "refuse all buffs" option in the menu then

    [/ QUOTE ]

    Noooo.. that would be silly..

I wouldn't not want buffage.. Just make it so one can enable or disable custom colors on buff effects (personal) like when zooming in on yourself where you can dispell the effects.

    [/ QUOTE ]

While I can understand your worry, I personally think that it shouldn't happen like that. This person is using THEIR power on you, so the colour should refelct that.

Although if we had 2 bubbled defenders in a team with different colours that could look crazy.
  23. I would expect the buff/debuff to be the colour of the buffer. It's their power so it makes sense that way.

    GR vs CoV

    [ QUOTE ]
Yeah... I think you need to review your reading comprehension:

    primal
    [prahy-muhl]
    –adjective
    1. first; original; primeval: primal eras before the appearance of life on earth.
    2. of first importance; fundamental: the primal resources of a nation.

Maybe you're confusing it with primate?

    [/ QUOTE ]

You're first definition is the one that is evoking these ideas. I think you're just worried you'll become a furry bikini.
