Personally im so-so about this. Will have to see how it looks with a decent costume [a costume MAKES the attack imo]

Like I said in the other thread, I think they'd be good for a brawler type character.

Never mind the alternate MA animations the Super Strength ones are awesome! The new (but now oddly named) footstomp where he punches the ground is so cool.

Yeah saw that clip and that move alone makes me want to make another superstrength tank! Now if only the ground erupted when you did it . . . . . . . .

Ok all these new characters im going to make in i16 is just unreal Up to 8 new characters now!!!!

Just a rumor - but the MA details and PC info from the same survey were pretty accurate

That'd be a great icing on the cake imop. I think we've earned some more ATs what with our dilligent sub paying and such-like for so long *bats eyelids*

Also a great way to suck in people to do the new low level content, by forcing said new ATs to start in the new zone, or give those who want to an excuse to give it a go, if they haven't any plans for new toons of existing ATs/Powersets.


Adding new ATs with no prior alignment would be a stroke of genius, forcing the player to make a decision about how they want their toon to grow up.

I look forward to starting a new toon in praetoria/whatever, without actually deciding on an alignment, and then seeing where the character takes me. That would just be the best.

I haven't seen anyone mention it yet, but the spines scrapper appears to have at least one new option for spines. At the start of the clip they appear to be straight spines, not the usual bananas.

Yeah, BAB mentioned this, I believe you can choose between the old bananas, thorns, or straight metal spines now.

And they are colorable.

I saw the video and the new spines look a lot better imo. I might even create a character with spines now.

If I get into closed beta I was planing on using a Spines/Electric scrapper called Spikey Robot as my test character.

Hmmm.

I was keen to see how the new Martial Arts animations were going to turn out given that my main is MA/SR.

Punches were deffintaly needed. Having only kicks always felt like the toon was missing alot in him.

So its good to see the new punches. However I now somehow would like to see an option to set power animation to random. I don't particularly want to be forced to have a power be ether a kick or a punch and thats it. I don't really want to get rid of the current kicks but don't want to miss out on the new animations ether.

So here I hoping that there is a random option down the line. Would be cool to hit a power and get one or the other each time its used to add varity.

Now I am liking the SS animations! Will be nice to have some seperation from my WP/SS Tanker and my SS/Invul Brute. I'm thinking of giving the Tanker the new animations with Knockout Punch being kept as it is as I feel the new double axe handle launch animation suits the Brute more.

I think the only method for mixing them up right now, is to have kicks on one costume slot, and punches on another, and flip between them.

Which brings up an interesting question. Are the new anims tied to your costume slot, or tied to your character? I haven't seen anything saying one way or another.
