And now an update... within a few hours of the new patch. The GM ExFarm has been replaced with a new AV ExFarm.

It's final solution time... remove EXPs from AE
I'd rather they didn't. I have a character I'm leveling up there the regular way. I have no problems with them nerfing the XP as long as it's still possible to reach 50 there, even if it takes longer.

    Add a mini-game

I would be fine with more mini-games, but I seem to recall resistance from the player base for this when it's come up before (along the lines of "wasting the devs time and resources that should be on other things").
  3. "God" (in the context of the old pantheonic gods) can very much be a function of perspective anyway. In much the same way as the old "any sufficiently advanced technology can be viewed as magic" saw. Maybe the Three Sisters don't consider themselves and their peers "gods", but the ancient Greeks did.

    Ghost Widow!

As long as they aren't R'ik and R'll.
  5. Even Freedom? I always had vague plans of making a zone PvP guy there.

But then, the whole I13 change made me rethink being interested in PvP at all...

No doubt. The thesaurus is my number one go-to name resource.

Oh no, can't do that until you have maximum charges on every Day Job power.
Beat me to it. Once you get all the badges, Day Jobbing doesn't stop, it just changes emphasis.

The dummies that were in the War Zone went to Blueside. In other words, became Heroes.
Possibly. I just assumed he was jokingly calling all bluesiders dummies.

  10. Most of the NPCs actually show as pretty huge compared to the player character scale. No idea why they decided to go that way. Decorum is 6' 5" and he's often shorter than NPCs (even the civilians just walking the street).

    I don't really see how..
Of course you don't, because you don't know all the stuff it entails. I'm to the point where I assume "it's harder than it seems" unless I KNOW better.

Or if you look at it a different different way, the full potential of a Blaster is realized in collaboration with teammates who cover the gaps in their portfolio, just like Tankers and Defenders, the other specialist ATs. All of whom are still capable of soloing, and all of whom do great things for teams.
Yeah, but that applies to pretty much everybody, doesn't it? I look at the solo aspects of sets first, because on a team pretty much everybody rocks.
  13. Sorry, no. Now you must bedew your beard with eyeballs.

    Hello,

I have found the recipes that had been lost. It appears that each of these had reached their 30 day limit and were deleted. At this time I have returned the below emails to your character.

Keep in mind that emails sent to yourself, or returned to you from another player will be deleted if they are not claimed within 30 days. If you need assistance again, please let us know and we will gladly help you.

    Regards,
    GM Roland

This is the response I got.

Thanks to the GMs for getting my stuff back.
Thank you very much. This indeed answers those questions.
  15. Or if you look at it a different way, blaster secondaries like that are there to help you out when THE FOES come into melee with YOU.
  16. No, those things are a lot more than "beating on a bag of hit points". Soloing things not meant to be soloed is more about preparation and strategy than that. And it's an outlier challenge, not a normal part of the game.
  17. I think this may be part of my indifference to that set. The Shadow-like character I made on test looked like he was goofing around all the time. /signed for some "settle down, Sparky!" anis for DP.
  18. That'd be neat. It'd make us "more powerful" like they said.
  19. Thanks, guys, but I've seen all kinds of speculations and they all have merit. I want a redname answer to point to.

Mystic Fortune killed Inigo Montoya's father.
    It should prepare to die?
  21. No, they've already confirmed it won't be like that. It's some kind of system we haven't seen before.

    Dr_Mechano picks:

Aye, if you use Fly/Super Jump then you usually maintain enough forward momentum to be able to travel past a target. If you're just using normal running on the ground, the rooting takes full effect and stops you from moving.
Sort of. I jump over or run by foes and travel a bit on a regular basis while fighting and using regular speed, it's just not as far. Speed determines the momentum factor. Superspeed does well with this, too, with a "move past" jousty thing.
  23. You probably do.
Players may once again choose to not accept or decline the Mystic Fortune buff power.
This only means the prompt is back. No turning it off...yet. Rumor from one post says they may be working on that, but rumor is rumor.

EDIT: Oh, and no clue about the chat thing.

    Dr_Mechano confuses me:

Hmm not really, all the attacks in city of heroes do not allow movement while the attack animation plays. You are rooted to the spot as soon as you fire off an attack.
If that's what you really meant, then I have to join Spit in saying "Wut?" I'm almost constantly moving while I'm fighting.

EDIT: Wait, never mind. I see what you're saying. Having a Senior Brain-Fart moment I think. It sort of roots. I use momentum to keep moving past it.
  25. I think he was referring to WoW's attack rooting.
