Quote:Pfft...like they need to shut down the servers for that. That's just ongoing.
White Hot Flash goes old school:
Or they stealth-nerfed accuracy again <.< -
Quote:It's only spelled "schadenfreude". It's pronounced "Throatwarbler Mangrove".
Sailboat has an interview:
Can I call it schadenfreude instead? -
Eh, I can live with that kind of broken. Invulnerability was always way too flashy for what it was anyway.
I even claim that Decorum has a suit made of diamond fiber to kind of hand-wave it away. -
Quote:Mockery is a learned skill. Keep at it, you'll get it.
Samuel_Tow just has rookie problems:
I almost never try to make fun of people, and even when I try, I rarely succeed. -
That's something I've wanted since the first day I played. Of course, it might be easier if the streets actually acted like real streets. I wouldn't know what part to name what when it's just a long road with no outlets ending in a circle cul de sac.
-
Or it was a stealth fix of an exploit. They don't always tell us when they do that, for obvious reasons.
-
Sure. Someone's gotta stand in Independence Port while another is kidnapped and near death over in Praetoria.
-
Are you plugged in and turned on?
-
um, when I signed up I was assured there would be no spelling.

We now return you to our regularly scheduled thread, already in progress...

Quote:Proper use of KB is a wonderful thing. Even better than defense buffs. The enemies can't hit you if they're on their backs and jammed into a corner. That's 100% defense buff!
SkarmoryThePG thinks them useless:
Really? Because to me that seems somewhere between "enemy size pad" and "leech"... -
And it never said I could, but I can use almost all the functions. I'm not sure they should have bothered with that pop-up part and just let people fiddle to see, since we have to anyway.
-
It seems reasonably open-ended. I used the "Kyle Rayner" method myself (with my own touches, of course). Kheldian encounters a homeless musician with no direction in an L.A. alleyway and they combine to become The Starguard.

Quote:"Bait and switch" is advertising one product, "running out" and trying to foist a different product at a different price on you. How does that even come close to applying here?
The_Alt_oholic confuses me:
It isn't worth the price of admission. I'm getting the "bait-and-switch" vibe here which is never a good thing - in fact, it's illegal in some States. -
Quote:See that "Plus" at the bottom you use to zoom in and out? See the little tags on each side with a moon and a sun respectively? Those lighten and darken the background.
SkarmoryThePG is unaware:
Unfortunately, since the only way I can access that look is through the costume load screen, I can't do anything about the background. -
Oh, whew. I thought something in Inv actually broke.
Yeah, I'm with the others. It's fine like it is. -
To be honest, that's probably how they should have coded it in the first place. The cat being already out of the bag, as it were, I'm sure there's be some public resistance, though ("Hey! That's not what I paid for! It eliminates the usage X!"). How much would be hard to say.

Quote:I'm a bit confused as to as to how that relates, but OK.
Umbral wanders:
Well, just because you're not as tough as invulnerable super heroes doesn't necessarily mean that you're not tougher than the average human. Even the lowliest hero or villain in CoX can take a number of bullets before going down and fall from enormous heights and walk away. Your armor could simply allow your "normal toughness" character to achieve the degree of toughness that is required to accomplish virtually any heroing. Otherwise, the character would likely just fall over and start bleeding out whenever a hellion looked at him wrong.
Quote:Tony Stark isn't much of a fight out of his armor. Your character could easily be the same. -
So what mag stun is Dushku's bikini fashion show?
-
Nuke us all from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

Quote:David mentioned the possibility of a Monstrous pack sometime after GR, but nothing concrete. So yes/maybe.
Doctor Delirium waits patiently:
I like the new costume parts. They're very interesting. Though I was expecting some new beastly head options, and some new tails.. especially the wolf tail, since that's a highly-requested item.
Maybe in a future release then? -
What do you mean by "active"? When you pre-order, you put something down (or the whole thing...reports seem to vary from store to store) on it at GameStop and when the actual game comes in, you go pick it up (or possibly they can ship it to you). Nothing from it will be "active" until the stores get the box. Conceivably, the actual game will have GR started before you actually have the box in your hands. I'm expecting so for me.

You would have loved Julius Schwartz' editing the Flash in the '60s. It was full of that kind of stuff.
-
Bingo. Tropes are important. Details are often hand-wavable within them. I think the Lore project is going to find a lot of stuff that's not really explainable simply because they're mimicking comic/fantasy tropes that never had real explanations to begin with.
And pseudo-science. Lots of lovely comic booky pseudo-science! -
