New Mission Difficulty Settings
Adding a team member increases the number of mobs in a spawn. increasing your level makes the mobs go up in levels.
I'm not sure if there's a way you can differentiate between these two things. Making the game spawn for more players will give you larger mobs and an increase in the frequency of bosses within those mobs. Pretty sure you can't set things in such a way that says "I want more bosses only please!"

Also why would a Mastermind not want bosses? They are crunchy good xp.
For example; for my mastermind, I really want large spawns. For more stalker I want bosses. How do I make use of this new setup to get that?

For your stalker I suggest setting it to +1/x2, with bosses. Bosses don't tend to spawn regularly unless the mission is set for two people.

Thanks for all the help. The game has changed a lot over the past 3 years, but I think this change may have been for the better.

Typically the settings I use (as a solo player) are:
Diff / Team Size -------------------- Stalker: +1 or +2 / 1 Include Bosses when solo Brute: 0 or +1 / +2 or +3 No Bosses when solo.
(sometimes Purple Boss depending on exact level and enemy faction).
In the second case, I get lots of cannon fodder and Lts - great for
steamrolling along with Fury at a fast pace.
These settings seem to be manageable and fun for me - YMMV

um, when I signed up I was assured there would be no spelling.
Dec out.
When I signed up they adamantly refused to tell us any numbers at all...
If you don't mind playing at the default settings, you can still enjoy the game
without knowing any numbers. But, tweaking the numbers can be fun.
As far as difficulty is concerned, there's still no math per se - just static numbers

I have not played COH/COV since Issue 5 and just came back. I am trying to understand what the new mission difficulty sliders do because they are very different than I remember.
I think I get adding/removing bosses and increasing levels of spawns. What does adding removing team members do for difficulty? How does that scale up?
For example; for my mastermind, I really want large spawns. For more stalker I want bosses. How do I make use of this new setup to get that?
