    Too late

So, no Super Speed. No Elude, either. No other click powers at all for that matter. How fast can you possibly run? Which IO sets to slot, even in non-travel related powers, to get as fast as possible?
I don't have Mids in front of me to tell you, but if you can, do this:

Three slot sprint. Put three IO's for run speed into it. That's over the ED cap.
Do the same for swift and quickness.
Now find a place for five sets of Kinetic Combat or anything else that gives the 5% movement increase.
    http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Category...Movement_Speed

That's as fast as you'll be able to go without superspeed.

EDIT: According to the wiki, if you could slot five sets of siphon insight, that's 20% movement increase. Then five sets that provide 5% each, for an additional 25%. Finally, add in five winter's gift sets, for a grand total of 75% movement increase. Find a way to slot all of those? I doubt it.

The best thing about using only sprint/swift/quickness is that your speed will always be unsuppressed.

    EDIT: Darn you Catwhoorg!
  7. Throwing my 2 cents in:

I feel exactly the same about this game. What do I do when servers are down? Mids.

Our devs are a thousand times more responsive to player wishes than any other dev team. We have an amazingly balanced game which has given me hours upon hours of fun.

So let me finish with... Thanks.

But if it connects (and with a large enough scope, it will), it'll hurt.

If they're unresistable, though, then yes, defense comes out ahead here.
    Critical hits should be resistible.
  9. I'm just going to throw this out there as a guess:

Prior to I16, there was no way to "ding" if you were exemplared. Maybe the engine is not checking for a "ding" while you are in exemplared status.
  10. I've got one!

I was running in a team of 6 on a Positron TF last night with my newly rolled Kheldian (and actually my first character to set foot blueside since i4). We were pretty much steamrolling. I had taken to a tactic of teleport in, mire, shift to nova, and kill anything that my team hadn't hit yet.

I have to do this quick because otherwise the team spreads the aggro and I can't get a good mire. Too quickly, though, I take too much aggro and have to spend more time munching insps than fighting.

Well, there was one group of Vahzilok enemies that I jumped into too early. I've done this before, and I wasn't too worried, thinking the team would catch up in time. Port, mire, shift... faceplant? I didn't even make it through the nova form animation! What gives?

    Oh... Mortificator Quantum Gunner.

    /facepalm
  11. But still not as broken as MMs.

    Help, Im new

Are you sure you selected the same server you did the first time you played?
  13. Ah-HA! I have finally thought of a "new question." Take this, Bill!

It really has more to do with the lore and RP aspect of the game, so it might not count.

In one of the first Shadowstar arcs, the Circle of Thorns are doing research on how a nictus possesses a human. Is it believable, then, to have a backstory in which my character's nictus infusion was done by the CoT, possibly attempting to create a sort of nictus demon they could control?

Additionally, how well does the character name "Defying the Curse" fit such a story?

    Welcome to the squiddy side.
Heh, thanks for the welcome. Perhaps I can come up with a "new question" yet.

(Thanks to the new exemplar rules) Have any of you run through a Positron TF in dwarf yet?

I already did a sewer run, exemplared to level 2, in nova form. That was the quickest I've ever run from Atlas to Kings Row. I'll bet having nova in the Oro breakout will help too.
  15. Yellowcoat?

    Amberjacket?

Ok, those are silly. How about:
    Honey Sting
    Pain in the Stinger
    Bumblewasp
    Bumble Belle

I've had this happen to me many times and the only remedy is to either activate Hasten yourself, or somehow rig your macros/keybinds to include Hasten when you next switch to Human-form.

It can be quite an annoyance at times, one more reason to learn to use the monitor attribute window...
I know this one! That's the auto-fire bug!

If for any reason you are targeting something non-living and non-enemy (teammate or otherwise) when the auto-fire ability is ready to fire, it will not fire. As soon as you target a live enemy it should fire.

Also as a silly side question: Are you regular Warshade players jealous of the other ATs? I mean, they each get their own section of the forum. We have to share with Peacebringers...

    DPO? What's DPO?

  18. Thanks for the replies. Glad to hear I'm on the right track to a fun playstyle.

I forgot to ask, is hasten really needed? Wouldn't it be really annoying to drop to human every time it's up?

What kinds of set bonuses should I be aiming for?
  19. Oh, I guess I forgot to mention: The regen isn't really worth enhancing. It's not enough to make a difference in combat, and at best it'll just minimize your downtime between fights. MM's have less hitpoints (and therefor less regen) than any other AT.
  20. Hey, I just rolled a warshade and I've got some questions before I get too far into the build. (Currently level 13)

After reading up on the guides, I think I've decided to be a shifter. If I'm doing damage, I'll be in nova. If I'm taking damage, I'll be in dwarf. Dropping to human for sunless mire, stygian circle, gravity well, and eclipse as needed. I don't see myself spending much time in human form. Does this sound like an effective playstyle?

That being said, I'd like to know about set bonuses. Do set bonuses carry over between forms, or are they only active as a human? Is it something strange like sets in nova attacks only give their bonuses while you're in nova form?

If the set bonuses don't work in forms, does it make sense to just forget about the sets entirely and frankenslot to ED caps and then throw in procs?
  21. As the title suggests, I'm looking to join an RPSG that will accept my warshade. He's still a lowbie (12) and he's new to being "super."

A little about the character: The character's name is "Defying the Curse" and I'm still fleshing out the details of the story, but the basic idea is the standard warshade story. I'm still undecided as to who infuses the nitcus into him, be it Circle of Thorns, 5th, or Council. Most likely CoT, but anyway, the fusion sort of fails due to the cultists not doing it right. Regardless, it is not a symbiotic relationship; my hero hears voices all the time and has to fight for control of his body.

If I do go with CoT, then there's a bit of a twist in the story as well, but I don't want to go spoiling it already.

If you think that's something you can deal with in your organization, let me know.

A little about me: I play pretty regularly; I'm on almost every day. I'm still kind of new to RP, but I enjoy it and like getting involved. I love playing on teams in character. I'm semi-powergamey, but I won't sacrifice concept of a character for "must have" powers. If I can't justify why the character can have the power, no amount of perceived necessity will make me take it.
  22. I wouldn't waste the slots on health except for the uniques, and even then you should be fine with just Numinas, so no extra slots at all.

You're taking health, so stamina is a no brainer. There's no reason you should need any more recovery than a three slotted stamina on top of a numina in health.

On my bots/traps, I don't have the fitness pool at all, and I function just fine. Even with all three leadership toggles.
  23. The new difficulty settings went live and I went nuts. I felt that my Bots/Traps was able to handle just about anything; the MM himself is softcapped to ranged/AoE, and the bots to everything. I occasionally farmed the wall in Cimerora and in RWZ, but always had the feeling I could kill more things faster. So I blindly ramped the settings straight to +0/x8 to see how quickly I could farm purples.

I started with council. Absolute walk in the park. Summon, buff, toggle up and waltz through the mission doing silly emotes the whole way. I didn't have to do anything else.

I thought, "Let's try Rikti." A quick jaunt over to RWZ and I was knee deep in alien scum, cutting a swath through them like it was nothing. I spent more time asleep than awake, but it made me realize having mez-proof bots is definitely a plus.

Ran back to Grandville to do a Circle of Thorns mission, which was nothing spectacular, and then decided to try Carnies.

Now, the carnies may not have been the best idea, but I went for it anyway. Turns out they weren't all that difficult, especially now since I was tired of doing emotes and actually dropped my traps along the way.

Malta. Most people cringe when they hear that. Malta. I tell you, these people get downright annoying. I had to use actual strategy to get through this. Bots on stay, summon seekers, drop triage beacon, seekers take alpha, run in and spam provoke, drop caltrops/poison trap/acid mortar as available. Once or twice in there I hit my panic button (hasten), but otherwise, no trouble.

Last night, though, I failed at an attempt to solo a mayhem mission. It wasn't the cascading defensive failure from peacebringing police that got me. It wasn't the Longbow Wardens that caused problems. It wasn't even the Knives of Artemis that I accidentally aggro'd at the same time as a group of police. None of those things could stop me.

It was the *** **** ****** ******* Longbow Flamethrowers and their auto-hit burn patches!

I started at a decent pace, but the first LB ambush dropped a ton of burn patches, killing all three drones and almost everything else. The scattered bots that survived ran way out of BG range, leaving me to die so quickly I couldn't even realize what happened.

"What's this button about a hospital? Is this what happens when you die?"

Anyway, break out of jail and try again. I heard the ambush coming this time and ran to intercept. I dropped caltrops (mine do knockdown, so it's great mitigation) into the middle of the pack and kept attention on me. That was easy. I liked doing that.

Then the Knives+Police incident happened. It was ugly for a while, had to resummon some bots, but I pulled through. I was low on time, and had just gotten the key for a raid, which is a 6:00 minute time bonus. That would have been nice, if I'd have paid attention to the longbow ambush that came in behind me and ate my bots all over again.

I spent 3 minutes in my cell, weeping.
