Quote:Click on the "Powers" tab on your tray. At the top of the tab that opens up is "Combat Attributes." Click that.I actually have a quick question that is not related to the marketeering part of this thread. In the OP's picture in the 1st post, there is a window on the left of his screen that shows HP, End and Influence. How do I get that information window on my HUD? I couldn't find any options that turned on a window like that.
Now, browse through the list of attributes. Right click any of them and select "Monitor this attribute." This will put that attribute into a little window you can drag around the screen. This window can hold up to 10 attributes, and can be reordered. -

Quote:LR's a chump. Dark Armor Sucks. After watching a dark tank take on LR with out breaking a sweat I thought it was time to give dark a try.
Here's a decent build to get ideas from. It's the one I used in the video. I've made a few improvements since then, and inherent fitness also helps, but you'll get the idea. -
If you're going to use Dark Melee, you will have one of the best variations of build up the game has to offer. That said, one of the best ways to leverage that buff is to pair it with a damage aura.
Further, Dark Melee has very little to show for AoE capability, which can make holding aggro difficult. I don't care how well you survive as a tank, if you can't hold aggro you're not helping anyone. To that end, I again suggest using a primary that has a damage aura.
This narrows your choices to Ice, Elec, Fire, Stone, and of course Dark. Out of the choices you haven't heartlessly eliminated, I would recommend Fire or Elec. Fire will allow you to do much more damage, and there is synergy between Midnight Grasp and Burn. Elec has the benefit of Lightning Reflexes, to help you use Soul Drain more often. -
I should have been more clear.
Quote:This much I get. Heard, understood, and acknowledged. Therefore choosing Stealth (and slapping an EndRedux in it, probably, especially if your build already has enough Defense powers that you don't need it as an LotG mule) as one of the 3-4 freed up power choices saves you from having to spend an extra slot on your movement power (and thus taking it from somewhere else) for a stealth IO.
What I don't get is how inherent fitness is new powers without new slots. -

Quote:Winter's Gift does not need to be activated. Nor do the KB protections. They act like global bonuses; as long as you don't exemplar more than three levels below the IO level, you keep the bonus.Good idea on the slot the KB protection/winters gift.. probably the gift works best in dwarf step as that's where I'd most often be and activate it.
There's a little icon that shows up in your buff bar for some reason that makes it seem like it's an activated bonus, but I've checked and seen the bonus active full time.
That's why I called this one a preference. I don't think either set is particularly better. -
Alright, done giving it the once over. It looks really good.
You can save yourself a slot by moving the winter's gift or the KB protection to black dwarf step or shadow recall. If I were you, I'd put that extra slot into Gravity Well and slot a common damage IO.
Other than that, not much else I see. I prefer going with Decimation as opposed to Entropic Chaos. You get +Health instead of +Regen. -
Quote:It was BaBs.I see this and it brings to mind an old quote (and one i believe someone had sigged) by BaBs, i believe.
"Did you just use "casual player" and "purpled out warshade" in the same sentence?"
LOL....still gets me to this day.
And yes, mine was done casually. -
This topic was ill-conceived.
Of course the newest content is going to have a bunch of people clamoring to be a part of it. -
Quote:Bah, this kind of math is fun.I'm glad someone is looking at #s for us...apply online and see if the two of you can get positions as interns implementing Kheld changes
Hell, I'd do the changes myself for free if it meant I could enjoy my Peacebringer again. -
Quote:This is good advice from level 1-50, on any AT.I was given this advice about Brutes as well. For the 1st twenty or so levels you may want to put at least one end. red. on each of your offensive powers.
Few people realize that attacks consume a lot more endurance per second than toggles ever will. -
Quote:If anyone has a right to be picky about who joins the team, I think I'm it. I either run with a fully purple setted warshade (Thanks to Organica), a softcapped to S/L/Ranged bots/traps that can solo anything he fancies that day, or the Dark Armor Tank that Sucks (solos +4/x8 Malta/Carnies).Agreed. Besides, I'm in no position to be picky about who is bringing what, even if I wanted to.
My policy has always been, and always will be: Any build, any budget, no exclusions.
Bring me your petless MM concepts. Bring me your AR/Dev on SOs. Bring me your stalkers and peacebringers. We're going to have a good time regardless.
If I can do it, so can all of you. -
Fair warning: It is also intended to be quite humorous. I do not suggest reading in a place where laughing out loud will result in dirty looks from co-workers.
-
So it's my turn. What did you think of the zerker set idea? Would you play that, Rangle?
That's all I'm asking for. I don't need a critique or suggestions. I just want to know if you'd play it. -
For the less ADD version, but slightly more humorous and helpful...
Quote:This reminds me of LÜBKE, something I posted some two years ago on the German boards. I would roughly translate it as iBITE (increased Brutishness In Ten Exercises).
1st exercise: Create a brute, any brute.
2nd exercise: Log in your brute and notice the funny bar below your health and endurance. This is the iBITE bar implemented into this game for our therapy by the cooperative devs. (Thanks again!) Watch what it does. Notice the difference between activity and inactivity. Notice how your xp bar behaves differently when you have high iBITE.
3rd exercise: Repeat to yourself "More iBITE means more awesome. Only a full iBITE bar is a good iBITE bar. I will never let down my iBITE bar." until you have fully understood the message and know it by heart.
4th exercise: Play your brute and try and keep your iBITE bar filled as much as possible. When it is about to reach zero do something, anything, to fill it again.
5th exercise: Repeat exercise 4 only without looking at the iBITE bar. Only look at the iBITE bar when checking your progress in guessing your current amount of iBITE.
6th exercise: Cover the upper right corner of your monitor with a sticker, a post-it or anything similar so that you can see neither your health bar nor your iBITE bar. Then repeat exercise 5.
7th exercise: Create a toon from any non-squishy AT other than a brute. Seeing the iBITE bar with these ATs is the tricky part. In most cases the iBITE bar is invisible, but if you try hard enough you will see it in your mind. This is a special kind of interface for this therapy only.
8th exercise: Repeat exercises 5 and 6 with your non-brute non-squishy AT. If at any point you receive comments from other players that acknowledge your awesomeness or insanity proceed to the next exercise.
9th exercise: Create a toon from any squishy AT. As with the previous ATs you have to access the special mind-interface to be able to see the iBITE bar. If you are still unsure you might want to create a dominator as that AT has a special version of the iBITE bar called iBITE U. (U stands for "uber" of course.)
10th exercise: Repeat exercises 5 and 6 with this toon. Notice other players' reaction to your playstyle. Mind that most people find it unusual for a defender to rip his shirt apart, scream "HELL YEAH!" and jump headfirst into the next spawn while the tanker is still tieing his shoelaces. Remember that words like "nutjob" and "insane" have essentially the same meaning as "awesome". -
ADD fashion. I like that. Here goes:
You're not a tank.
You're not a scrapper.
You are a brute. You like aggro, which works out nicely for most people on your team, but you're not there to save them.
Let's go ride bikes.
DM/willpower will be pretty strong and solo capable. You will set the pace of the team. If they can keep up with you, great. If not, you'll still have full fury and they'll have scraps to clean up.
Ooooh! Shiny!
Go have fun. -
I really suggest you give my MFing Warshade guide a read; the link is in my signature. It's designed around helping you find how you like to play and get the most out of an aggressive triform shade.
I don't give you builds, but I do have a lengthy explanation on how to build your own. I'll look over your build when I get home (I don't have mids here at work). -
Quote:From the way I understand it, City Traveler does not allow you to take the fourth power in a pool without two other powers in the pool. It only grants access to the travel power without a prerequisite.I'd like Concealment to be included with the City Traveler vet reward so that I can choose to skip Stealth/Grant Invisibility on certain toons so I can straight pick up Invisibility then Phase Shift. As is, I have concepts for several characters that Phase Shift fits but needing to pick up 2 powers to get it is a hefty price. I can see picking up Stealth or Invisibility but not both >_>
-
Forget that, show me anyone who gets perma hasten with only SOs and alpha slot.
-
Well... It's time to get that damned rare then.
-
I like it, I think I'd get around to playing it. I like resistance sets.
The only thing I have a problem with is the Tier 6. I think it should be 10% regen, stacking up to 60%. Against AVs, you'd still only do 9% debuff, but at least it'd be enough to notice.
You can have this set as soon as I get my Berserker set. -
