Help with Dark/Stone Tank build
Your succumbing to spending a lot for a small bonus rather than seeing a power for what it is and giving it reasonable slotting with good bonuses as a plus. Oppressive gloom is slotted for poor bang for buck. Cloak of Darkness and Weave another example, the slotting in CoD is better in Weave and the slotting in Weave is better in CoD. By moving slots about you can get a better overall build.

Thx Dawn, I have taken your adivce and moved a few slots around so now he is looking softcaped to S/L/E/N with 70 res to S/L which seems ok end does not look too bad and if I add the Cardiac Alpha to it should be ok. Any how here is build 2 what do you think.

I started to look at your new build and it looked fine enough... until I saw you didn't take the damage aura.
Given the choice between Cloak of Fear or Death Shroud, Death Shroud will always win. You're damage aura, properly slotted, will provide around the same over all damage as your hardest hitting power. Yes it's does a small amount of dmg per tick, but as a tank you're going to be surrounded by critters and those small ticks add up tremendously.
You really should reconsider taking Death Shroud.
Throwing darts at the board to see if something sticks.....

kk thx for all the advice so far, I have looked at Dechs build and taken into account the need for death shroud, and come up with the build below. I have kept OG as I think the stuns should stack well with Fault and should help team tanking. So here goes build 3 seems to be getting a little better each time so thx guys.

Better, but still needs works, especially end reduction slotting. Specifically:
You have way more KB protection than you need, 3 KB IOs for mag 12 should be enough for almost anything.
Stone Fist and Heavy Mallet are underslotted and need another slot each. If you don't need the S/L def, I'd use 5 Crushing Impact in HM rather than the Mako's.
If you can free up the slots, put two more MB slots in Taunt for the recharge bonus.
CoD, Weave, and Maneuvers are underslotted for end reduction, so be sure you use the LotG Def/End and Def/End/Rchg in each.
Op Gloom is way overslotted. If you want the Stupefy E/NE bonus, move two slots to Fault and leave OG one or two slotted.
Death Shroud is underslotted for end reduction, IMO you should aim for at least 60%. Also, the two purples you've slotted are a complete waste of influence given the measly bonus you're getting from them. Tremor is also underslotted for end reduction.
I am not a fan of using BotZ for the typed defense bonus, the E/NE bonus for two slots is measly, to say the least. If you want to soft-cap E/NE, I'd drop Recall Friend, pick up Hurl, and slot it with 3 Thunderstrike.
Here's what I would do with your build. It's soft-capped to S/L/E/NE, has better recharge, and much better end usage than the one you posted.

Your fault slotting makes sad panda sad! Fault is a great power, give it the slots it deserves! Try to push it to 5 slots and slap the purple set in it, skipping the first straight-up stun IO.
Alternately if you don't like that, at least find room for a FF:+rech IO.
While with DA being a much more survivable set overall than ElA or Fire (my experiences with SM), being able to stun that problematic group who's looking at your blaster funny from range is pretty awesome.
Hrm I thought the stacked stun of Fault and OG would be enought with Fault 5 sloted stupfly. KK back to Mids for me lol.
Just a quick thx to everyone who has posted so far. Feel the build is coming on in leaps and bounds.
I hadn't seen the post with the stupe -- but mainly what I'm looking for in absolute amazement is the copious quantity of recharge enhancement. It should be cheap on the AH too, since it is a stun set not a damage, but I haven't looked that up so don't quote me.

Here's a decent build to get ideas from. It's the one I used in the video. I've made a few improvements since then, and inherent fitness also helps, but you'll get the idea. |
I'll post her build, but it's Dark/Dark/Body. I've no experience with Stone Melee, however. With the Cardiac slot, Body may become Soul Mastery in the future, as at the moment the heal's a PBAoE taunt, and Dark Consumption is used as an attack. I also found OG to be more annoying than useful with nothing to stack with (boxing's only a chance), as they often staggered out of range of Death Shroud. With stone, you may find it better. I skipped Touch of Fear, as the aura's only for extra -tohit, and I don't even use it that often. Note, for my build, she might not be the most efficient, but it's the best to suit my playstyle, and I prefer to build for things aimed at having zero support, as I never know who I'll be teamed with.
As for LR, I had the inspirations to manage him solo whilst the towers went down (purple to 75%, oranges, with heals off the towers), but had crazy lag at the time. I have to say thanks to the Thermal 'troller who kept me standing as I was having to guess when powers would recharge.

EDIT: That's a slightly older build, actually. OG became Focused Accuracy, as the Cardiac Alpha meant it would cover it being run with 1 end-red.

After watching a dark tank take on LR with out breaking a sweat I thought it was time to give dark a try.
