And having run this entire arc in one go last night (why did I think staying up til 2am was a good idea again?), I must say that in this ENTIRE game... in over FOUR YEARS of playing it...
... I have NEVER, EVER found a character who so lived up to his name as I did in my wannabe sidekick, "No Mind."
Holy crap, he ran off, aggroed the whole room, came back to me, nearly died at my feet, nearly got ME killed, ran away AGAIN, hid in a corner, came back just as I healed... and leading the ambush... absolutely UNREAL.
As badly as I wanted to kill him, I thought, "Well, this is a training arc, you may as well train them for the moron NPCs we have to lead around..."

Also, once you hit 50, there's the Ouroboros system, which allows you to 'flash back' to content you may have missed along the way (based on origin or whatnot). If you missed storylines or missions, it'll scale you back to the appropriate level and allow you to play the content.

For dealing with the Lichen infested Warwork, Beorn has the right idea... you taunt him all the way to where the lichen are under control and then life is much easier.
Re: the Avatar... when we ran it for filming purposes, it was grimly amusing that he insisted on Confusing the one person NOT actively participating in the fight - me. I was just flying around filming, so I was perfectly content to let him Confuse me while my teammates continued to shred him.
Incidentally, I MUST find that picture of Razorhead doing the Call to Justice... and punching the Avatar of Hami right in the nads.

Yeah, it's all of 5 seconds ... but it's a totally awesome shot and location, and the action/direction just feels *totally right* for how The Extraordinary Death Defying Redlynne (Dances With Death) would casually stroll into First Ward like that. The other thing that I find interesting, given the placement in the montage there, is that unless you "know" that that's *MY* character, it's very easy to assume that's not a Player Character there, but instead is yet another (hostile) NPC making an entrance ... possibly as part of a cutscene or something.
So yeah ... I had a total
*SQUEE!!* moment watching this vid via UStream when Andy played it for everyone, and saw Redlynne striding into First Ward as if she owned the place. I had been totally expecting that if Michelle was going to use my avatar at all, it would be in some sort of combat scene, doing my signature "Flip Out And Kill Things" scrapping it out using Eagle's Claw or something "flashy" like that. But THIS! This was awesome!
Fantastic job Michelle!
Oh and uh ... any time you get the urge to do a Ricky Martin song video for no good reason, let me know.
But as far as doing a vid to the Ricky Martin song, I have so many on my roster I need/want to do that if I take on any more, my brain will just melt.

There's a part of the new music that I swear reminds me of "Red Route One" from the score to THE HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER... I hear it and I have this immediate mental image of the Ghost Ship navigating its way around buildings in this kind of undulating pattern.
All said, though, I love the new music.
