I meant Batman Beyond and Batman: TAS. Apart from Mr. Freeze, the episode with Bane's Venom, the episode with Talia, Return of the Joker, and idle glances at Bruce's supervillain memorabilia collection, there weren't a lot of references back to his time as Batman, which the producers did intentionally.

Wouldn't need to be any more than they did in the animated series with respect to Batman: TAS.

Suddenly, a hit is placed on Durakken by the game's texture artists.

IBTL?
The Pixels Aura from the Incarnate Merit Vendors looks kind of like this, a round version of that would be pretty rockin'. -
Energy Aura's recent buff included a +Rech aura (like the +ToHit from Invincibility) which may explain why some people aren't taking Hasten anymore, but I think that's silly because more Recharge is always a good thing (and an aura is not 100% reliable).

The game doesn't work like that. You can't go back to old versions. Previously an old version of the game disc would just install that version, then when you launch the updater it would update the game to its current state. Now, the launcher that gets installed from the CoV install discs won't even work, since you need the NCSoft Launcher.

Quote:I believe it was in Return of the Joker that Bruce beheaded a Two-Face dummy, so he had the costume.Would be nice to have Batman Beyond love movie or if Bruce Timm can make some animated Batman Beyond movies for DVD.....Terry did mention in the season 3 episode and again in Return of the Joker the "apocalypse of 2009", but we've never found out what that particular event was so that could make for an interesting story.
Also besides never seeing a Joker costume in a trophy case in the batcave, I never saw a Two Face costume either. The giant penny yes, but never a costume in a display case. Did Harvey end up staying in Arkham all his remaining days after the "Judge" personality manifested or did something else happen?
If they ever did a Batman Beyond movie, there's only one way I'd want to see it realized: taking place in current day, with Adam West resuming the role that made him famous -- the Bruce Wayne from the 1966 series. After all, it's 45 years old now. But don't get me wrong, the show isn't campy. The campy history remains, but the later decades took their toll on Bruce, and he's just as grizzled as he was in the cartoon (I firmly believe Adam West could pull it off). I imagine his disillusionment beginning sometime during the 70s. Cesar Romero's Joker finally graduates from silly deathtraps and hatches his master plan of kidnapping Robin and brainwashing him as his heir. As a bonus, we get to see what Harley Quinn might have looked like had she existed during the 60s series.
I will die unhappy if this movie is never made. -
It should be said that we only know about Staff Fighting because of a video was leaked on YouTube depicting the power names and animations. The powernames can currently be linked ingame with the standard bracket notation (ex. [O2 Boost]). But so far, the closest we've gotten to an official announcement is Positron's statement that he's "unaware of any fighting among the staff".

Quote:Except we don't know what consequences there might have been for those reactors. Praetoria is filled with citizens who have everything they could want but have no idea of the hidden costs. For all we know, Anti-Matter's reactors run on [really horrible thing I don't care to make the effort to think of].Unfortunately, due to certain limitations of the universe, this will never be fully realized.
Just as Positron's apparently smart enough to invent all his gadgets and toys but lacks the common sense to build the impressive, powerful, and apparently 100% safe and environmentally friendly reactors his Praetorian counterpart did. -
Wow, I've potentially helped two people. This is the most positive outcome from trolling I've ever seen.

Quote:Ahem. Fixed that for you. Thanks ... see gob, Kirsten is giving an example of how minimal effects can be exadurated for the purpose of fulfilling a need in the game.
I understand that this is a video game based on a comic book and not everything is going to strictly obey the laws of physics, but even on an abstract level positional resistance just doesn't make a lot of sense to me. -
Quote:When I had trouble with it, I used light therapy with a light box and that helped (also helps during the winter when the days get shorter). And I am glad to hear that it was a failed attempt at trolling rather than a serious concern. heh
But yeah, thanks again for the link. Don't know if I'll be able to correct my sleep phases any time soon, but it's good to know what the hell's been going on with me for the past decade. -
There's no such thing as positional resistance. It doesn't exist as a game mechanic. I'm also not sure it makes much sense from a conceptual standpoint, either.
As for the "pull things toward you" mechanic, I believe the devs have said this would either be difficult or flat-out impossible to implement with the current game engine (as in, an entirely new engine would need to be developed). Which is unfortunate, because there's probably a lot of interesting stuff that could be done with that. -
Hooray, my failed attempt at trolling helped somebody!

This is not even remotely true, but there's really no sense in arguing it since you won't be swayed and the entire thing will just get modded anyway.

Quote:This idea reminds me of something from 10-11 years ago called UBUBU that was supposed to revolutionize how people navigated the internet. It was a massive flop and I can speak from personal experience that it was a laggy, barely-functional, and unintuitive mess.OK. I can see there are technical issues and interest levels to this idea. But, a 3D desktop is just a matter of time. How it will look or behave is up to whoever can come up with it. Frankly, all the comments describing how it won't work seem thought restrictive rather than solution based. A twirling globe of shortcuts might be the desktop. Flying through clouds might be it, too. But for computer geeks, no shouldn't be the answer. Look at this for the fun it would be, that's how many great things start.
Why reinvent the wheel? There will surely be changes to the desktop model for years to come, and the next major shift beyond that will likely be related to the peripherals that eventually replace the traditional keyboard/monitor setup. But before that happens, there's really no reason to shift things so dramatically. -

The origins were actually more diverse early in the game's development, but they were condensed down before the game went live. At this point it doesn't really make much sense to expand them, especially when it effectively adds nothing to the game (Magic can already be played as Artifact or Mystic, for instance). Plus, it would require a complete overhaul of DOs and SOs.

I agree, having the game be perma-night is a bad idea, even for a short period of time. I RP my main as having delayed sleep phase syndrome, so he hasn't been able to sleep since the Halloween Event started.
Very poor move, devs. -
War Mace, Dual Blades and Broadsword all have unique Taunt animations (War Mace/Shield actually gets its own variation by having your character bang their mace on their shield in what is possibly my favorite animation in the game).
There definitely should be more variety, the current regular animation is childish.
