Pretty sure that was asked at least once, they were only taking questions about the new trial though (besides answering a stupid question about supergroup prestige for some reason).

    My suspicion is no, though.

Good news! You're not forced to. Nobody is holding a gun to your head.

Pre-Freedom, how often did we get new powersets? A couple every few months? Sometimes? How many have we gotten since Freedom went live? Beam Rifle, Time Manipulation, Titan Weapons, Street Justice, Darkness Control, Darkness Affinity, Dark Assault, Beast Mastery, Staff Fighting -- none of this is even counting powerset proliferation, which while not as resource-intensive as fully new sets does take time and effort. So that's 9 new powersets, in 6 months. And you'd better believe the devs have even more amazing stuff coming down the pike.

With Freedom you already get more for your sub, the only way you're getting more than THAT is if you pay, or just wait until you have the points to spend on it. You can wait. It's not the end of the world if you don't grind a Staff Fighting Scrapper to 50 immediately.

    Basically every issue since launch.
  7. I want some m*******************g Snakes in my m*******************g Lore slot!
  8. Yeah sorry, I don't care if it is April 1st, you don't joke about blowing up a hospital (not in any kind of a public forum, anyway). At all.
  9. Is that rotoscoped from Office Space?

No longer just trying to cure death, but rather "improve" mankind, Vahz has been biding his time and producing a whole new kind of super human - bigger, stronger, faster, smarter. No mere lumbering oafs too stupid to breath, these new creatures are vicious, deadly and very intelligent, collaborating together to form their own brand new race with Dr. Vahzilok at the helm.

If people are too stupid to accept the cost of eternal life, then it's simpler to replace them with something better, right?
Thank you for agreeing with my suggestion.
  11. I can't even remember the last time I saw a Coolant used (when it was needed, anyway) on any level range of the respec trial. I wouldn't worry about it.

Because the devs that work on bug fixes are clearly the same as those that work on concept art, graphics, and coding powers. Oh wait, no they're not.

Folks, it's been 8 years, maybe we can stop trotting out this hilariously false equivalency now?

Why? Because Arcanaville is never wrong.

You folks are reading way too much (or perhaps not enough) into what I said. I was referring to forum PvP, not in-game PvP. Elaborating any further would start to violate forum rules and play into the OP's hands, so let's just leave it at that.

(Don't ask how you get the blindfold on the GM; it isn't easy.)
Pfft, you ain't a real player until you can solo the Seed of Hamidon with Walk toggled on.

It's because he wasn't portrayed as an actual god in the Thor movie, the Asgardians were just aliens in command of powerful indistinguishable-from-magic technology (which has mostly been the case in Marvel lore anyway, depending on who's writing it).
  16. Man, that's straight out of the Silver Age.

"Batman, why are you trying to blow up that hospital???" "I HAVE TO!"

You are aware that he's the final arch-villain of Positron's Task Force Part 2, right? Blowing up the Faultline Dam sounds like a bigger and better plan to me.

Not to mention the eleventy-jazillion plots of Nemesis...

Although I'm certainly no fan of that movie, you're misunderstanding what happened. Nero's time travel created a new timeline, the timeline he came from still exists, which is sort-of consistent with Star Trek temporal mechanics (see: Parallels).

Seems like a great community (the first time I played I didn't do much on the web in terms of forums (fora?) or similar...I'm assuming it's either always been this friendly, or you've weeded out D3ATHNINJAH69 and his annoying friends (my apologies if you actually use the name D3ATHNINJA##, it was meant in the general sense).
Nah, CoH has always had a pretty good community. Honestly, I think if anything it's gotten a little nastier than it used to be.
  20. I guess it's possible I forgot how numbers work, but it seems unlikely.
  21. Auto-correction re-enabled, everything works again.

Weirder still, just noticed this issue on a phpBB-based forum I frequent. How peculiar times two...
  22. How to revamp the Mastermind:
    1. Fix the damn pet AI.
    2. ???
    3. Profit!

He doesn't have any idea one way or the other. Hence the question.

Incarnate Powers pretty much fill the roll of what Signature Powers would be. Not entirely, mind you, but it's hard to see where they would fit now.

Plus it takes away from that awesome story arc where you actually defeat Dr. Vhazilok in his lair and put a stop to his creations. His group also does a pretty good job of looking really good despite their age, what with the exposed muscle on zombies, grotesque and unhygienic doctors, and the doctor himself being a true walking horror show.
Oh, well it's a good thing we defeated him, lord knows super villains never come back with bigger and better plans.

    Just saying.
